    Windows 11 is built on Windows 10 with a new skin. Microsoft said the optimized Windows 11 to play games better, but if you compare Windows 10 and 11, there isn't a major difference in speed

Also, windows 10 runs more stably and has less bugs and windows 11 is basically windows 10, just with a theme applied to it

      @@EasyPcRepairs You are welcome! You are the smartest man in your legend. I made the quantum leap from Microsoft Windows XP Professional to finally Microsoft Windows 10 Pro is because, my first microcomputer that was Cybernet, a Windows-based computer that was made in California, as a discontinued model, it ended up with a dead motherboard. I call my computer my "keyboard," because it is my powerful typewriter. The modern-day typewriting which is called "keyboarding" is my best skill. I learned typewriting when I was 12 years old. In 2017, I needed a keyboard so bad that I could hardly wait for one. Therefore, I purchased a Dell Inspiron keyboard, which is an all-in-one style microcomputer like the Cybernet model. The difference is that the Cybernet ZPC-9000pc had the computer inside the console that had all the keys. The monitor was separate from the rest of the computer itself. The Dell Inspiron has the computer inside the monitor. Gentlemen like you brings hope to computer users, including keyboard specialists like me. Thank you so much for tapping or typing to me. I bid you "Happy Keyboarding!"

    Windows 10 should be supported until 12 is released. I think I'll skip 11 unless 12 is awful, if 11 is still supported and 12 is a mess, I'll give 11 a go. That's the annoying thing with Windows, just as the OS matures the replace it with garbage. I only use my pc for gaming now, so I don't have much Windows interaction other than an initial sanitation.

    My big annoyance with Windows 11 is being FORCED to log on with a Microsoft account, unless you want to start hacking and tweaking.
    Fortunately my older PC (originally shipped with Windows 7) has no TPM 2.0, so MS aren't going to force it to upgrade in the background without my say-so.

PCs running previous versions of Windows must do a full reset of the Windows 11 operating system for the feature to work." There is a good chance your printer and other peripherals will not have a Win11 driver and you will need to buy new hardware.

    My problem with switching is due to the fact that each passing year, Microsoft get more and more shady. I stuck with Windows 98 till XP. Then I stuck with XP till Windows 7. To be honest, I was happy with Win 7. I never use any of Windows built in features except maybe the calculator from time to time. I was forced to accept Windows 10 but over time I have to say that it's the best Windows OS they ever made (except that their compatibility mode for older software SUCKS!!!!!). I still never use it's features. I have my own software I use. I've tried Windows 11 at a friend's house and I really don't care for it. I can see where compatibility with much older software is out of the question and that's a big deal for me.

  • @SA77888
    @SA77888 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    11 is like a skin for 10. Its based on the exact same kernel as Windows 10..........Which BTW is the only time Microsoft has ever released a predecessor to the previous version, with the same kernel. There are many good reasons to stick with Windows 10, but one reason to go with 11 is that it is (most likely) only going to get better and more effort will likely go into the development of 11 than will be put into 10, since we are told 10 will no longer be supported in 4 years. Personally I prefer 11, but I DO totally get why people prefer 10. One small thing I miss from 10 is the ability to click on the clock in the taskbar, to view a larger/easier to see clock with seconds ticking by.

    • @EasyPcRepairs
      @EasyPcRepairs  ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thanks for the video. I use Windows 7 for development, Ubuntu for my server and a Chromebook for internet access. I didn't want to waste my time and my money dealing with the nightmare of a new PC and a new OS since I have experienced that since Windows 3.1, XP, NT, etc... According to all those MS minions - who probably know far less than me about "OSes" - Windows 7 stopped being "safe" after the new version appeared. So, I'm assuming Windows 11 will also be declared "unsafe" when the next version shows up. My PC will eventually die and I'll be switching to Linux for development and saying goodbye to greedy and annoying MS.

      There are workarounds for the requirement a TPM 2.0 chip and a supported CPU for Windows 11, but it is NOT recommended to do this. Not only that, not everyone can use the workarounds. It is unfair for you to say that this is misinformation. My information is correct.

      The requirement for secure boot and UEFI was shown in the video at 4 min 25 sec. And as I previously mentioned, workarounds can be done but it is not recommended. I will not tell anyone to do something that works now but could potentially cause them problems later on.

    Watched this and then the reasons TO upgrade to Windows 11; very informative, to the point, and (as a bonus) relaxing to listen to, so all positives.
    With the two videos weighing the pros and cons in mind as well, I'm planning on getting Windows 11 for my new computer, with my reasoning/motivation being based on the fact that I once attempted to upgrade my OS from Windows 8 to Windows 10 in the distant past, and that wound up corrupting my hard drive. Especially with the end of Windows 10's support being somewhat near (three years from now might not seem like much time to some, but Windows 10 came out in 2015), I see no point in having to first buy a license key for Windows 10, THEN buy a license key for Windows 11, and then hope Windows 11 doesn't destroy my C drive like Windows 10 did back in ~2015/2016.
    Personal rambling over. Thanks for the great videos, Dave. Keep on making 'em. :)

      To be honest, it would be probably much better for you, to buy Windows 10 license key, because if you're going to buy pc, that supports Windows 11 anyways, with having Windows 10 bought, you can upgrade anytime you want, but if you will buy Windows 11 license key, you won't be able to install Windows 10 for free.

    • @codybgamin
      @codybgamin ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rysiekku As I said, I don't want to do that because of something that happened to me before - it's a risk I don't feel is worth taking, no matter what anyone tells me. If I'm going to buy a Windows operating system, I see no point in buying an older version that's going to be discontinued in the near future, and _then_ upgrading to the most recent one. Why not just buy the one that I'm going to wind up using anyway, whether that's upgrading or just buying it?
