That's so cool that the Polo dress has the QR code!! Its almost like they anticipate their items will end up in thrift stores eventually (we love a sustainable mission!) but respect a thrift shopper's excitement for finding a designer piece. I'd love it if more brands did this -- it's such a thrill to know what a deal you're getting when you can see the original retail price and its cool to see what era a piece of clothing is from. Gives it a little more history/backstory!
okay I’ve seen videos titled “insane thrift haul!!” “my best haul yet!!!!” But damn girl you weren’t kidding!!! Everything here bangs!!!! Congrats on such incredible finds!
that black dress is stunning on you!! I think those cute pleats do a good job of flattening out the front so it doesn't balloon out in a pregnant type of way!!
The little ashtrays were from the days when ladies would meet to play bridge at a friend's house. Each person at the card table had their own little ashtray. This is also why the ashtrays were often shaped like a heart, club, diamond, and spade.
I thought the swan item was for those little dishes for people to put their tea bags on if they want to remove them from their cup. I see them on the centre of the kitchen table with milk and sugar usually.
@@michaeladicksonAs an Etsy seller I can say that a lot of people selling on Etsy are just guessing at what things are. I think that it is for teabags because there are no bends in the trays for holding a cigarette.
Zote soap bar, baking soda, scrub and soak with kettle hot water for will get the stain out.I keep my whites immaculate and people always ask me how, this is my method. You have to strip the stain out of the fabric.
Wow I loved everything you picked up! I'm glad you finally got the mini Coach bag, I think you've mentioned you wanted that one. And that Kelly green color on the raincoat looks so good on you!
I loooove the tyrolean jumper and the sailor uniform! My mum actually pretty much did the same with my dad's sailor uniform when they started going out. She even put in lining because it's super itchy; and 2 buttons (with anchors, duh) and you close it by looping a ribbon around the buttons. Now I get to wear it. 😁
So many great finds. Standouts for me are the denim jacket, burgundy belt and RL white dress. Navy and burgundy are my favorite combo in fall/winter. Look forward to styling video.
Love seeing the thrifting!! I have been looking for a black (Zara dress ) all summer!! Your dress is perfect!! Congratulations on the cool stuff! I can't find one to save my life !
I love unicorns. Plenty of pictures of unicorns around but harder to find other items that are unicorns. I even have a great book that I got at a book sale in a library called, "The Last Unicorn." Wonderful little book that I still have.
I am a WI girl as well and thrifted a pair of Bass Weejuns with the tassel..worn enough to be broken in and that’s all. I tend to find them from time to time. I am dying for a pair of their Mary Jane’s, though, with the lugsole! Great haul. WI does have amazing thrifting and it’s CHEAP but you have to know where to look.
Bass Weeguns! What a blast from the past! They were what the rich kids were wearing when I was a kid and I lusted after them! I literally gasped when they entered the frame
I hate anything to do with hiking or camping but like the shoes you bought. Never was the outdoorsy type. I mean, I can stay in a nice lodge near the woods but not outside the lodge. 😊 Like the things you bought. I have a hard time to find shoes like you found. My size is Size 5 1/2. Can wear Size 6 if I wear thick socks.
I had those exact Bass Weejuns loafers in high school. Tenth grade, I think. In the 80's. I'm so jealous, I'd love another pair! My old lady animal is cats. I only have 1 actual cat, but I have several thrifted decor cats.
I really liked the finger tips fabric comment.. funny.. Amazon haul.. very inspiring. Loved that green jacket. . It is my in the exact color of green that I am loooooving lately.
Your style is unmatched, so stunning! I say this with so much respect but plus sizes thrifters have limited choices as is so buying 'oversized' is actually limiting our choices further. Just something to consider and hopefully remind your subscribers of in the future x
I totally understand this!! The thing with the bins is if no one buys it, it gets thrown away 😵💫 which breaks my heart! If I find it doesn’t work for me, it goes up on my poshmark for cheap!
@@michaeladickson thank you for your reply and explaining further. I'm from Scotland, we don't have bins but it sounds like it's the same as our fabric banks - devastating how much ends up in landfill from there. I can completely understand your reasoning and apologies if you explained any of this before!!
Omg no need for apologies! It’s an important thing for people to consider! Especially with unique plus size vintage, it’s good to see vintage accessible to more people. Vintage forever!!! 💖🫶🏻
We had one of those swan dishes at my passed grandmother's house. We ALL dont know what it is for 😅 unfortunately we cant ask her anymore but with reverse google search we cane to the conclusion of salt or sugar holders (hers were much smaller)
Now that you found that great 30's or 40's polka dot dress you have to wear the bright red lipstick the women wore in those days. Think Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield or any actresses from those years, etc. with very thick applied lipstick.
Zara, Mango and other Spanish brands used to be good quality in the beginnings (late 90's) but the Chinese fast fashion happened and... Now it's only garbage most of it
Why not just leave the sailor top to someone who can fit in it as is? It's unique and amazing. You talking about getting it tailored is breaking my heart honestly.
no you don’t understand, it has zero stretch it won’t fit anyone, maybe a toddler?? And it was at a bins outlet where everything is literally thrown away if it’s not picked up. These aren’t rare so I feel totally ok altering it in a way that it will be used and not collecting dust or ending up in a landfill

thrift haul is impressive!
That dark red finish on leather is usually called Oxblood if you're looking for polish or dye for the belt!
Suggest dye over polish…otherwise could rub off on clothes.
“I can see myself going horse” is such an odd and powerful thing to say, I love it haha (also my home decor animals are vintage pigeons and tits haha)
you look so Blair Waldorf in the sweater! love the fit today
That polka dot dress looks like it was made for you. Love it so much!
Thank you!! 🥹💖

That blue sweater is SO CUTE!!!
Right?!! Thank you! 🤩
Love the green raincoat. Will add joy to grey days and looks great with your colouring.

ooooh it could also be that!! I saw this exact one selling on Etsy as an ashtray!
Also think this is what it is for! Great haul
@@michaeladickson looks like a bar soap dish, to me.

The swan set could have been for bar soaps , my grandmother had rose shaped soaps
My faves: coach belt bag, black zara dress, floral lil top, and the green jacket! These were fun picks🎉
Wow I loved everything you picked up! I'm glad you finally got the mini Coach bag, I think you've mentioned you wanted that one. And that Kelly green color on the raincoat looks so good on you!
Okay, but literally everything is SO good!
OMG. Everything is super cute, including you!

I relate so much to this! I live in LA and when I go home to southern Virginia it's thrifting heaven!

Navy dress - great for Halloween with the right witch hat. Super stylish

so fun that they’ve made a resurgence!! I’m obsessed 🥰
Woooow, it was worth the wait ! You found so many gems, even more looking forward to you styling them 😍
Love the Fall. Im in Wisconsin so I feel you on the nice cheap thrifted items! Love it!
Its the thrifting gods❤❤❤❤😊

I have been waiting to find Bass Weejuns SINCE the 80s! (Yes, I am old.) Fabulous!
Just found you and have been binging your videos! Thanks for the new vid!
I wear my Frye boots in summer without socks. I do have many pairs that are different sizes.
Dye the tank top that has the stains. It's what I do to all my whites that inevitably get stained because I'm a spilly pants.
I just got that bag too !!
When u "borrow the coat put a broach over the spot where the logo was

Are you wearing a Misook? I saw one like it, but lilac and black at the Goodwill today, but it was too big. I love the brand, excellent quality!
Great finds!!
My nan had that swan in her house ❤
How do you clean leather belts to sanitize them? I don't mean to stain them but how do you actually clean/sanitize brown leather belts?
Amaaaaazing!
gh bass loafers for 6 bucks is the biggest steal in life!
Right??!!

hahaha so funny, no one knows!!
Just wash the button down on warm water and put in dryer to shrink a bit

Use oxyclean for the sweatstains. Soak for 24 hours then wash. Good luck!
We did 2 rounds of an oxyclean soak! 😵💫
Try laundry stripping! You can do it with washing soda, borax, and detergent, soak it overnight in your sink/tub!
Where in Wisconsin were you?
My animals of choice are cats (leopard, cheetah, lion) and turtles 🤷🏾♀️
Girl you better give the burgundy loafers to your husband 😂 he thought they were for him
They won’t fit him!!!😂😂😂 he’s a men’s size 10 these are women’s size 10
@@michaeladickson 😂 ooohh i thought you said they were a mens 10.😄
The army pants?? The sailor top?? The signs are there, you need to enlist! (Joke obviously)
