The title of Sunday's sermon by Pastor Doug Lain is, "The Struggle Is Real." The scripture lesson is Acts 6:1-7. We will see in today’s text that the Church has struggled from the very beginning as to whether to emphasize piety or charity. Or, to put it another way - do we focus on worshipping God, praying to God, and studying His word, or do we put our focus on loving His people through helping, healing, feeding, clothing, and showing them how much God loves them? On Sunday, we’re going to see what the early church decided to do and see what we can learn from their example.
