    Thanks for your review, I have been looking at the MT500 for a trip to Lake Tahoe, CA in December. I think I am going to pull the trigger on it.

    Thanks for providing an alternative. I've bought Patagonia routinely since getting my first fleece jacket from them in 1984. Great stuff, but I'm tired of the prices.

    I own the synthetic jacket. I agree it runs small. It is a great value for the price. I generally do not like hoods but this one fits nicely. The zipper is YKK. I just wish it had interior pockets. I really like all the Decathlon items I have. I wish they had stores more stores in the USA.

      Place where I live temp falls to 5 degree at night. I have night duty. Will the synthetic jacket suffice for it?

      @@sushantasaha9522 I think it should be fine. If you are cold get a cheap fleece jacket from Decathlon and use that over your regular pullover, shirt

    Here in Europe, men's clothing has left handed zippers and ladie's has right handed. I was confused when I ordered a Columbia membrane jacket and it had right handed zipper. I had to google it again to make sure it was men's model:D

      same thing happened to me when I bought a Columbia fleece and a parka, was kind of confused why it was on the "wrong" side :D but then I saw that it as just a US thing

    The synthetic jacket is an absolute bargain. Luckily we have quite a few Decathlon stores here.

    Hey, thanks so much for this review of the 2 Decathlon Trek 100 jackets. Justin Outdoors really loves his Trek 100 down jacket and it got me to look into it but being vegan I'm super glad that they offer a synthetic version as well. Now being a few more months since this video was posted, has your sentiments changed on the jackets? Do you still prefer the synthetic over the down? Particularly how's the warmth comparison between the synthetic and down? Thank you again, and I hope you reach your NY resolution of making 6 videos. This was helpful. ~Vu

    Out of millions advertisements n reviews I found ur view most pertinent to my interest. I thank u for giving such extensive n practical views. Just one question I have. I belong to a region where winter last only 3 months n temp falls upto 5 degree at night.. Will the synthetic jacket will be enough or Sown is required? Plz answer me.

    How would you say the relative warmth between the two compares? Also is the synthetic good for layering (e.g. will the warmth go away if I put something over it?)

    How would you compare of the Decathalon compared to the Nano Puff?
    Also, which Forclaz would you say is warmer, the synthetic or down?

      I like them both. I find myself grabbing the Decathalon more often for outdoor adventures, because I would cry less if it gets beat up than the Patagonia, due to the cost. I think the two Decathalons are about equal in warmth.

    How do they compare in windy condition 15-20mph. Do you notice the synthetic stay warmer than the down or vice versa?

    • @onestephikes9700
      @onestephikes9700  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really have not noticed a big difference between the 2 in the wind. I tend to take the synthetic with me when backpacking. Mainly because my sleeping bag is down, so I like to have a layer that I know will stay "warmer" in they both get wet.

      @@onestephikes9700 that good to know. I ordered the two version to see which one I like better. I would modify the one I keep and add underarm zippers.
      Plan on using it on his own or under a soft shell windproof jacket when is colder.
