Hi, Nick, it really was a marvelous trip, and the layout tour was fabulous. I so much appreciated the Detroit 3Railers making their layouts available for us to see. I will not forget the experience, and should I begin to, I have this video to refresh my memory, lol! Thanks Nick! Bill
Good morning, Dave, thanks for watching the video and your compliment about the video. All of the wonderful layouts in the video made my making it both very enjoyable and honestly pretty easy. Take care now! Bill
Fantastic Trainapolooza Documentary Bill!! Awesome layouts and looks like it was an awesome trip! I love, love, love that DRGW Big Boy!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us!!
Good afternoon, Brian, thank you! It was a wonderful trip all the way around and I am glad I was able to share it here. Yes, Joe's DRGW Big Boy is gorgeous locomotive for sure. Thanks Brian! Bill
What a fantastic video Bill. I really enjoyed seeing all of the different layouts. Norms and yours are my two favorites. Your layout may be small but it looks so large the way you have designed it with the track plan and the scenery. Just blows me away every time you do a video on it. Looks like you had an outstanding trip once again. Thank you for sharing with us Bill. Frank
Good morning, Frank, thank you so much! Your comment is to kind, but I appreciate the sentiment. Now with my Trainapalooza video published I will be getting back to "work" on the OM&S. I saw that you have put out a video about your new Base 3 and will be watching it shortly as I now have one as well. Mine is still in the box, lol! Thank you again, Frank! Bill
Good evening, David and thank you! The wonderful layouts and their hosts made my trying to capture them on video a pretty easy task. The whole process was fun for me. Thank you again! Bill
Good morning, Dennis, thank you! Honestly, because the hosts were so friendly and the layouts so awesome, my work was easy. It was certainly a fun video to make. Thanks again. I very much appreciate your comment! Bill
This is a great video Bill B. So much to take in and enjoy. I’m going to have to watch a few more times because there is so much.! Glad you had a great time.
Hi, Corey, good afternoon and thank you! Yes, lol, there really is a lot to take in. I believe I could have actually taken a whole day at each layout to truly take in all of the great work that had been done. Each layout was very unique and seriously, I could have spent more time with each of the hosts as each had both a lot of knowledge and talent. Thanks Corey! Bill
What a fantastic compilation of great layouts, all great builds! Then there's Norm's.... it is so incredibly detailed. The first time I saw his vids I couldn't believe what I was looking at. The custom aged (dirtied) paint on the rolling stock and buildings makes this amazingly realistic, perfect lighting. He even has weeds growing in the cracks of the pavement, OMG! Thanks for sharing Trainapalooza!
Thank you, Redbuzzcut, for watching the video and for your comment! Yes indeed, like with many of us, some of the layouts I saw were in the various stages of development, but all were awesome in their own right. Norm's railroad is certainly something to behold. I do not know what I can say other than Norm is a very friendly and humble fellow who certainly provides a lot of inspiration to many of us in the O gauge hobby. Thank you again, Redbuzzcut! Bill B.
Hey Caleb, yes it really was a wonderful time. Each of the seven layouts was unique and it was neat to be able to see them in person. In the video I did my best to share the experience. Thank you, Caleb! I really liked your last video showing how you installed the Dwarvin Lighting System. Bill
Good morning, Art, thank you! Yes, they were all amazing. I had the easy part of just recording some of what was in front of me. It was a great time, and I have some great memories from the event. Just the other day the channel reached 2000 subscribers, thanks in large part due to the support of folks like you and this video which has exceeded the viewership of my regular videos by a substantial margin. Thanks again, Art! Bill

Hi, Tim, thank you! It was a great time being with friends and seeing all of those wonderful railroads. Yes, catching the SW9 working those grain hoppers was just a little extra treat. Hope all is well across the pond! Bill
Hey, Jason, thank you! I am pleased you enjoyed the recap video; it was fun to make. Jason, you certainly deserve all of the kudos that I am others have offered to you. You were a fantastic host, and we certainly enjoyed your hospitality and your railroad. The entire event was a true success! Thank you again! Bill
Hey, Del, thank you! Yes, I was running a little late as I had to stop for gas, but when I saw that SW9 I just had to pull over and get some photos. I am glad you liked seeing them! Bill

Hey, Cody, good morning and thank you! I appreciate your kind sentiment, but I was not really gone long at all. I've just kind of stepped back to allow me to focus more on the OM&S itself. We'll see what the future holds. I do appreciate the kind words about the video and am glad you enjoyed it. I had a great time in Detroit and the video was a fun to make. Take care now! Bill

Bill B. Thanks for taking us on the tour. It was great to see all the layouts. I really liked Bob's. I had never seen it before. All the ship and airplane models were fantastic. Hope to see you in York this October. Chris

The video turned out a little longer than I originally wanted, but like I said in the intro I was making the video for myself as well. Nice layouts, Bill B. Especially Bob's layout with the B&O Cincinnatian 5301, I still have to work on a new layout for my Cincinnatian, and Norm's layout is superb.👍 Awesome video, Bill.👏🏻
Hey, Slagcat! Thank you, I appreciate your taking the time to watch the video! Yes, Bob's layout was really something. I loved his B&O equipment as well! Those passenger trains were gorgeous. Are you contemplating a new layout, Slagcat? That Cincinnatian got you to thinking didn't it, lol! You have an awesome railroad. With that said though, we are always learning and developing our skills. Disassembling an old railroad that one has put a lot of time, effort, and money into is always hard I think, but you just might enjoy the challenge. Take care, Slagcat and thanks again! Bill

Cool models, but I just don't see how someone could be totally into scale models and a scale layout, and lay that 3 rail track that is nowhere near scale in any fashion.
Good morning, scotabot7826, I appreciate your watching the video and your comment. Although I have been into the O gauge 3-rail trains hobby for much of my life I do not know that I am truly the best person to be trying to address your comment, so I will simply speak for myself. O gauge trains are roughly based on a 1/4 scale. In the 3-rail hobby, admittedly, the track gauge itself is not always perfectly to scale with the trains, but for many in the hobby to include myself that is not a real concern. There certainly can be some variations in scale accuracy of both the trains and the tracks, but for the most part they are still designed to appear at least somewhat realistic. For me, the fun of 3-rail O gauge trains is being able to build my railroad down in the basement "between the furnace and the hot water heater" and running them to my heart's content. For those in the O gauge hobby wanting to achieve truer fidelity to scale they will often get into O gauge 2-rail scale trains. I hope I have adequately addressed your comment. Thank you again! Bill
