The only problem I had with brotherhood is that it locked you in Rome the whole game, yeah it's much more detailed and well built than any location in AC2 but I prefer the multiple locations personally, other than that I agree

There are a lot of things that you could learn from this game. All its historical informations aside, characters in the game designed very well in terms of their behaviours. The fight between templars and assassins(good and evil) illustrate many other things in it. Especially in side missions(clusters), there are interesting notes, recordings, lettering, paintings etc. The most important point is they have demonstrated virtuous scenes through the story unlike other games and series.
I was 11 when it came out (2010) so I might be looking at this game through the nostalgia glasses but to this day I still think it was the best AC game I ever played.
It's actually Spanish... The game is centered around the renniescanse period and the Spanish Inquisition and the religious battles with the Templars...
It wasn't mentioned but they essentially planned to use the apple Desmond recovered to control everyone's minds and the satellite was just to allow it to be controllable in space

I have yet to compare dates, but off the top of my head it seems like this game was happening along the same time as Aquilar's ventures to secure the apple. For now, since Layla is the one who mentioned Sophia Rikin, I'll just assume the characters are cannon but not the movie events lol.

One of my fave games of all time. Revelations started trying to much new stuff for my taste, but for me, this was like Assassin's Creed 2 perfected.
