I live in a very diverse society. Our nation has over 130 languages. We cook our traditional dishes, esp Adobo, in several ways. People are influenced by varied cultures abroad. And we have differing political views. But the only thing that unifies us is the Catholic Church. And when I go abroad, I feel united with the world through the Catholic Church.

Yes! It’s amazing that I know the mass regardless of the language. I can have my Magnificat or misal to read in English or Spanish, I don’t miss the readings and get to receive Him anywhere in the planet.

I am an Australian cradle Catholic who married a Filipina. When attending Mass in the Philippines, although the Mass is said in a different language, I know where we’re up to in the order of the Mass and follow the English language Bible readings on my smartphone. If I lose my place, my wife points me to the right page. I feel very much at home in the Catholic Faith with Filipinos who love and live their Catholic Christian Faith in a strong joyous community.

Not necessarily. I have been to some VERY ordinary ‘62 Missal Masses. For me, the most solemn and inspiring Masses I’ve attended are proper solemn ’69 Missal Masses with full choir, full complement of bishop, concelebrating priests, deacons, servers, incense, candles and bells-truly soaring and uplifting.
The ‘69 Missal is just as beautiful as the ‘62, when the rubrics are properly followed.

Adult convert to Catholicism here. Over the six years I inquired and studied on my journey to being received in the Church, I went to Masses in the U.S., South America, and Europe, and not once did I feel judged or noticed for not knowing when to stand or kneel or what the spoken responses were. People were friendly, but worshiping and doing their thing. So this whole notion that people judge harshly if you don’t know “what to do” is a straw man. Pray for her-I used to be where she is until I found peace, truth, and joy. +JMJ+

My life has had it's... ups and downs, shall we say. When I was in my 20s my father died very suddenly and for reasons I won't bore you with, the rest of my family sort of imploded and I was pretty much on my own. Navigating adulthood is tough at the best of times. Ten times worse when you literally feel like you've been cut off from your own past and have no family left to guide you, to run to, to belong to.
The LAST thing on Earth I wanted was a Church where I didn't know what to expect on Sunday. I was drawn to Catholicism for the long intellectual history of the Church, but also the tradition, the ritual, the very fact of knowing what to expect at Mass. Every parish is a little different, but the framework of the Mass, the readings we all hear, the words of our responses are all the same no matter where in the world you go.
When my life was pure chaos, the Church was the only stable point I had. God bless Holy Mother Church.

Let me explain why I believe this isn’t an accurate doctrine.
      1. This doctrine was made doctrine over a thousand years after Christ’s resurrection. That in itself does not make this bad, but should give us an understanding that there is no proof the disciples saw it this way.
      2. The context of John 6 is that Jesus has just fed the 5,000 and the people wanted him to show more signs and be fed again. He said this as a way to see who had the true faith to stay. You may say I’m leaping here and assuming, but he does use figurative language a lot, especially early in his Earthly ministry. “I am the vine.” “I am the door.” He’s not shrubbery or made of wood. But, there is more evidence than just he may have been frustrated.
      3. Compare the interaction of John 6 with the woman at the well. It’s only two chapters before this in John 4. He says that whoever drinks the water from him will never thirst. To say one of these is figurative and the other is literal is inconsistent interpretation. The contexts are similar. However, notice that Jesus said that if you drink from him you’ll never thirst. Depending on the Church the elements of Christ’s body and blood can last anywhere from 15-55 minutes. Why is drinking water from him forever, but his body and blood less than an hour?
      4. During the Last Supper Jesus used bread and wine. As he was using his body he didn’t literally use it. In none of the accounts did it say he used his blood. If he used symbols, why can’t we assume in “remembrance” is not that literal body and blood? Let’s say that he did make the elements body and blood, though. What happened right after? Are you saying that Judas having Christ’s body and blood in him immediately went to betray him? Christ’s body and blood was given BY CHRIST and Judas still betrayed him? Within a few hours all of his disciples would scatter and deny him? Plus Luke 22:18 says he will not drink the fruit of the vine until he is in his Kingdom. He called it wine when he was being literal.
That’s why this isn’t true. You can’t do hocus Corpus (what they did in the Latin when this doctrine came through.)
Explain why my logic is wrong.

A lot of these Protestant churches are just franchise churches licensed to use the main church name like the Baptist church well when satan showed his ugly woke agenda in the United Methodist church the individual churches cancelled their affiliation. The Catholic Church is no stranger to satans woke agenda just look no further than your current pope giving blessing to those living in sin with no intention of leaving their sin behind of course I am referring to the Popes warm embrace of the LGBTQ movement. As a Christian I rebuke him and run as fast as I can to escape his agenda and his teachings. It takes deep faith and courage to stand by the word of god and go against the accepted norms of todays society and accept the hate you just have to always remember that Jesus said that you will be hated because of him and that they hated him before the world hated you.

Luke 9:50 records Jesus saying, “Do not stop him,” in response to someone who was casting out demons in Jesus’ name. Jesus continued, “For whoever is not against you is for you.” This passage emphasizes unity and cooperation among those who share a common purpose of spreading God’s word1. Additionally, in Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus gives the Great Commission to His disciples, instructing them to go into the world, make disciples, baptize, and teach obedience to His commands2. Both passages highlight the importance of working together to fulfill God’s mission. 🙏✨

I'm a cradle Catholic, and I have to say the post-Vatican II changes in practice soon wore out their novelty. The Latin Mass truly provided a global unity, as I could travel the world and always be home at Mass. Then changes and more changes caused confusion and diversity, rendering a big difference in the way Mass was celebrated and losing the universality in everything but the Consecration. I think it's no accident that Sunday Mass attendance declined as a result.

    • @LafemmeSASE
      @LafemmeSASE วันที่ผ่านมา

The Latin Mass is beautiful but the claim of superiority people add to it, needed to be erased. Do the angels speak Latin? Did Jesus speak Latin? where did we get the idea that the mass, the divine meal between God and man, is only good if it is in Latin? I am glad Vatican II and the current pope attacked that bit of heresy. A mass said in Igbo is equally as beautiful as one said in Latin, as long as Christ is the centre. Love you my brother and have a great day in Christ.

Many of us seek the Father, and we truly want to reach Heaven. But there is only one Way. Jesus Christ is the only Way, the only Truth and the only Life.

One of the main reasons there are 30-40,000 different denominations since the Reformation (incidentally this applied also at that particularly time) and something which is overlooked or disregarded is there is serious money in "owing" / "running" your own church. So many of the big pastors, in effect being their own Pope, are multi-millionaires, married and living lavish lifestyles - thank you very much, pastors for profit. Catholic clergy take vows of poverty , chastity and obedience and it is one of the reasons so many protestant pastors, such as MacArthur either overtly as with he, or covertly, feel the need to constantly attack, undermine and berate the Catholic Church - The One True Church of Jesus Christ. How can the Vatican afford to stay in business with all of this priestly poverty of which you speak. Does the Roman Catholic Church not have money to support 410,000 priests and hundreds of thousands of nuns around the world?! The Catholic Church is always asking for money. Catholic Germans fund their churches with state taxes. Where is all that Catholic money going? If the Catholic Priests and Church is so impoverished, how did they come up with $4,000,000,000USD to pay for the child sex scandals? That said I'll start you off with this to help you on your way, St Patrick's land was purchased before 1858 closing in on around two hundred years ago, when real estate was an absolute pittance relative to what it is now, for it to be built through the people and of the people themselves, in order to honour God. Regarding St Patrick’s in New York’s land price skyrocketing, perhaps the asset should be feeding the poor to the point that there be not one homeless person in Manhattan. The Catholic Church has disregarded this. They also use repeated words using prayer beads in direct dis regard of Jesus Command not to do so. Matthew 6: 7: " When praying , do not say the same things over and over again as the people of the nations do for they imagine that they will get a hearing for their use of many words." Matthew 23: 9- 12: " Moreover, do not call anyone your father on earth, for one is your Father, the heavenly One , 10 Neither be called leaders, for your Leader is one, the Christ. 11 But the greatest one among you must be your minister,. 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled , and whoever humbles himself will be exalted." Lutherans do not say "There is one true Church, and we are it", nor do Methodists, nor any other Protestant Church as far as I know. If the Lutherans believed that they are the one, true Church, then that would imply that everyone (other churches) should submit to their chatechism, and leaders (probably some board or something instead of a Pope and Bishops).

The church treats homosexuality as a sin, yet the Roman Catholic Church continues to ordain men who are not only same-sex-attracted but have sex with other men. The conclusion is that the bible's proscriptions can be jettisoned, or added to to suit the needs of a religion. Don't judge others for the same behaviors in your own church. The bible has something to say about hypocrisy as well you know.

@@zacharyrobertson4552 Every religion skips over bible passages that don't conform to their narrative. Your church has been abandoning the bible for 1700 years. Please show us your transubstantiation, your pope, your worship of Mary, and dead saints in the bible. Show us your curia, Vatican, the need to speak latin in the bible. The need to eat meat on Fridays. A female priest is far less likely to have sex with little boys the way thousands of supposably celibate male Roman Catholic priests have been credibly accused and convicted of.

As a faithful Catholic I'm put off watching this video because of father Casey
I listened to him before and I find him cold and heartless especially regarding unbaptised babies that die and eventhough they are inocent god will not let them in to heaven according to father Casey
So I'm not watching any more of this video series as I can see where it's going no thankyou

It always strikes me as odd that the RCC teaches so many things that JESUS did not teach. Salvation is not through a church, it's through Christ and HIM alone. Jesus had not female disciples, apostles, or preachers/teachers. So both the RCC and the United church are wrong. The woman does not speak for non-catholic churches. The BIBLE does. Study the Bible.

There is no such thing as a female Protestant pastor. According to St. Paul's instructions in 1 Timothy 2 and 3, God calls men to the ministry that pass Paul's requirements. God calls men into the ministry. Women call themselves into the ministry.

And she is not a true pastor "Bible, Matthew 7:21-23 says, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven'
May the truth set her free and may she be preaching false things .....may God help her

Diluted indeed - there folks the difference of knowledge & life. If u go by knowledge, ul think ur better than everyone & ur happier. If u choose life one struggles, less happier & lack knowledge. Christ came not to show off His knowledge but what - God’s His Father’s love. Who has all knowledge & proud of it? Hmm his no longer called by his once angelic name….yall know him.
