    In this video, I walk you through a Betfair football trading strategy that's simple to understand but very effective and easy to implement.
    I've shown videos on different sports before where I use a similar Betfair trading strategy, but this is specific to Football and includes a few other elements.
    This football trading strategy uses Bet Angel and the Betfair betting exchange.
    In this example, we use the under 1.5 goals market but you could easily apply it to trade the under 2.5 goals and other similar markets.
    The key message in this video is to use a bit of knowledge to get a positive trading expectancy. But also to correctly frame your potential profit and loss in order to profit in the long term.
    Most Betfair football trading videos will not do this for you, but that's surprising as it's absolutely key to profiting in the long term.

    Peter, how do we profit from a perfectly efficient market? It seems like the stable over/unders and match odds markets in football are extremely efficient, almost perfect you could say, so how do we go about profiting from this overall efficiency? Obviously there is noise in any market and there are inefficiencies within it but a way to profit doesn't seem obvious. Any clues? I suppose it's about working out the ability to spot when the market has a game wrong and then capitalising. "betting" in these markets just seems like a great way to breakeven or lose a little bit to commission over time, which is no fun! I guess I've answered my own question there, it's about dialling down into the noise and picking your moments

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends whether you are talking pre-off or in-play. From the moment the market goes up to when it's turned inplay it's a judgement of your model against others.
      But also if there are changes between when the market goes up and starts there are often errors there.
      When the market is in-play, the price action stalls as the market discounts new information. So you may want to look at that also.
      But remember that trading profits from volatility, not efficiency.

    Peter - another excellent video, for which many thanks! One query - about 9 minutes in you set the margin to 25% but predicted profit appears to be £33.42 on a £100 stake - how is that 25%, or am I missing something?

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's trying to complete a book at 125%, so depending on the market at that moment, the spread and prices available it may not hit that target but will exceed it.
      The main benefit of doing it this way is to aligned your risk with any potential profit and therefore you can frame the trade correctly.

    Why is bet angel better compared to geek toys? Seeing adverts for geek and it is far less cost

      OMG, how desperate is he for business if he is trying to hijack viewers on our channel? That's amazing, thanks for letting me know.
      Geeks Toy doesn't cost less, Bet Angel trader is £6 a month if you want something similar to that product: -
      www.betangel.com/trader/
      The professional edition costs more because it contains so much more, including fully automating your strategies. It's a much more complex product and requires more support and development to support all the features it has. Its the sort of software you would buy if you intend doing this seriously.

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you deploy any generic strategy into a generic market it will break even. Ultmately that is not where you will find an egde. It will be in market selection, which drives strategy selection and then you focus on execution.

      @@betangeltv Well done on all you've accomplished Peter. I know you're very successful. I just think 99.99% of users are not going to achieve even 0.01% of emulating you. But it's good you offer this stuff for free because you're passionate. I've just grown tired of it's complexity. Even with all the information it's hard to know where to start in building a profitable strategy. The problem is you have to really believe in what you're doing and have conviction, and that will only come with stats and knowledge. Which most will never even know how to accumulate. It's like the chicken and the egg situation.

    hate to say this but for the first time Peter is begining to look old, his face looks more crumpled than before, hope its not stress and just age.

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I am getting old that's for sure, I guess that's bound to happen over time 😉
      But it's mainly lighting. If I do outdoor shots the lighting is often from above and that excentuautes the lines. When I'm in the office the lighting is from the front or below so you can't see them.
      I'm fitter, healther and happier than at any point in this part of my career, so I certainly don't feel old. My eldest child will be 25 this year, so life sure flies by while you are having fun! But I seemingly still trade better than people half my age, so can't complain.

      @@g871 I disagree! I look a lot older than I did when I was in my early 20's. Peter Webb no doubt looks a lot older than he did at a similar age! I believe the OP was showing genuine concern for Mr. Webb, re the toll that working the hours that he must do to achieve what he does. Being tired and suffering from stress/depression are different things. Might I suggest that you educate yourself and look up the differences between ageing, stress and depression?...

      What a horrible thing to say to the guy that has given you a free video on how to make money. People do age, why comment on that? The guy gives out gems week after week, year after year, what do you do? The guy in the vid is a human being, with feelings. Why anyone would open with a point that would try to undermine someone because they dared to age is beyond me. Have some respect for people, it costs nothing.
