  • Hello,
    The last dam of all 4 dams which was in a row. The height of it was quite high. I guess about 1.8 meter. Around this channel there are fields, which should be drained.
    Hope You like it!
    Enjoy :)

    Until they begin to be torn down these dams can’t begin to show how accomplished the beavers are at their building skills. Incredible! Please be safe and I wish you and your beautiful family the best.

    Those beavers did a good job on this dam. But you showed them whose boss. Lol😂
    I wonder how long it took them to build one that size.
    Bless you for what you do for the farmers.

    In my opinion, you should have a system to remove the twigs in the dirt instead of putting it to the side for the beavers to rebuild the damn

    • @handyrus
      @handyrus 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @mikewhite8170 Beavers do not reuse old trigs and branches. They always begin with new material that they harvest. That's what I was told.

    This was an epic task and the power of the water was considerable. I see that you are enjoying weather which moves from winter to spring and winter again in a day. We were 2C last week and 15C this week - the birds are singing and spring flowers in bloom but back to cold in a few days.

    I guess when there's nothing else better to do you go knock down some beaver damn's
    to work some energy off, I hope this doesn't hurt the upper ponds when the drought sets in.

  • @jamestboehm6450
    @jamestboehm6450 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    With all the fresh chews around the dam you will tear it out in the day and the beaver will rebuild it in the night. A lot of water sent down stream, the beaver will not be happy.

    We need you to come to North America. We have a little waterfall on the Canadian-US border that could use some cleaning up. Just fly to Buffalo, New York, rent a car and drive along lake Erie, and its out flowing river till it hits the border. I am sure you will find the waterfall that needs cleaning up. Bring your highest waders as the water may get deep. 🤪

    • @Kenislovas
      @Kenislovas  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, yes. It's very hard to get something from government. Still we have some corruption in our country. Some serious persons in government better hold money in their pocket than support such a activity.
      Family is feeling pretty well ;)

    It has been some time sense you have posted. I really like watching your videos. I sure hope that the people that have the fields near those channels know how much you have saved them from damage to keep them from flooding. I also hope that your family is well again. I remember that not long ago they were not in good health. This time of the year can be a challenge to stay healthy. Steven Sipes

    I understand about damage beavers do in the warmer months, but not much happens in the winter and to destroy their environment causes them to freeze to death and/or starve according to what I have read. This is very sad.

      Yes, about economics, logistics.
      But we are living quite ok now. We are in NATO alliance so we have defence. Who knows if WW3 would start. Baltic states would be on front line I guess. We were occupied by ruzzians once. We don't like them so much. A lot of Lithuanians making charity and raising money for Ukraine my family included. We know what is occupation. We are standing together with Ukraine. SLAVA UKRAINI!

    If beavers are such great “nature’s engineers” why not teach them to build spillways or even control gates - less work for them and humans.
