Update on the final story: OP's friends ended up apologizing, admitting that their behavior was uncalled for, and that OP's daughter was indeed welcome. Turns out, it wasn't necessarily a sexist issue, more like, they were just worried they wouldn't be able to do all the stuff they'd want to do, and that they'd have to sleep in a hotel instead of a tent. However, OP assured them that his daughter can sleep without A/C, and that they'll have trouble keeping up with her 5-year-old energy. So all's well that ends well. X)
I hoped so. Wives and girlfriends aren't the same as a young daughter. The reasons for not wanting your significant other along don't really apply to a little girl!
Well, those "friends" obviously don't understand sexism if they think it's NOT sexist to assume that a girl would require or demand or whatever to sleep in a hotel rather than a tent.
@@the_Pons right I'm a 26 girl n I would sleep in a tent love camping n I'm two daughters ( 4 n 6) would also love sleeping in a tent like the hell that is sexist to think that n some guys would hate to sleep in a tent n would want to get a hotel
There was an update to the last story, OP confronted them after being told NTA x 1000000. Turns out it wasn't that they wanted it to be males only, the other dads were assuming (stupid of them) that if the girl came along they would have to go to a hotel, because they assumed a little girl wouldn't like the roughing it. OP told them that was the dumbest thing he'd ever heard and that his girl would be fine. Long update short, he brought his daughter, she loved it and she is now part of the fishing group. Friends apologised for their assholery assumptions.
I'm 61 and would rather sleep in a tent or a camper than in a hotel. One of my favorite smells is a campfire. I grew up camping. My parents didn't have a lot of money. So if we went on vacation, it was camping. Now if I want to camp, I set up a tent in the field that I rent for my horses. I don't have to worry about anyone being too loud in another campsite. And my dog gets to come with me. She enjoys it as well.
This couple trying to make him leave his own 4th of July party - a vet whose scars came from serving his country? I’m shocked that none of the other guests didn’t point out to that couple the irony of trying to shame a man who got those scars by serving his country.
Yes, exactly. I can tell you our little group would have been honored to have him at our 4th of July party. Traumatized? Sounds like Karen and her husband have something against the military.
Believe me if I had been at that party I would DEFINITELY speak up about her being a first class twat! In my opinion our Veterans are Americas greatest national treasure! I hope she gets a big scar on her face, see how much she objects to her own scars. NO ONE should try to shame ANYONE for having scars, survivors have scars, be it from military service, cancer or accidents. Life happens!
Story 4: I am trying to work out how this woman was allowed to still live in the house and force OP to be paying the utilities and such when it was proven that she wasnt common law married to the guy. OP could have had her evicted the moment the judge ruled and also stop paying the bills on the place since nothing is mentioned about having to do so and her being there. Sounds also like the law enforcement werent doing their job properly and OP should have gone out to make certain nothing was taken that didnt belong to her because it sounds like the family is connected to have OP told to stay away from THEIR property. Sheriff has ZERO rights to do so and the family has ZERO rights to be there when its OP's house and land.
Sounds like Sheriff and psycho may have been related. The fact they were allowing her to stay, remove items not owned by her, then allowing her "family" to remove stuff and not OP. This reeks of small town BS when half the county is related, I think the so called judge may be in on it or at least delaying to let scum get what they can. A call to the State AG, State Police and a good lawyer may be in order.
I have two brothers and when we were little my great uncle would take them fishing on his fishing boat along with my uncle. I used to always want to go too and one time my great uncle decided that it was ok. I hadn't been allowed to go before because the women in my family said that it wasn't something I should do. My great uncle stood up for me and took me with. I worked hard that day and didn't complain which surprised my family (still not sure why as I love going fishing) I actually got to learn how to drive the boat and on other trips was allowed to drive. My great uncle passed away recently after a long battle with cancer but he had always treated all of his great nieces and nephews, nieces and nephews, and grandkids the same. Teaching the value of hard work to all of us. I miss him a lot.
First story: Imagine feel so entitled to kick someone out if his own party. I'll yell that is my party and I don't allow stupid, ignorant people who wants to steal my party and then order her to leave.
First story. SERIOUSLY... this guy in the this is a veteran worthy of a Purple Heart. (In my books a Purple Heart is a medal given to a hero.) This Karen chooses to complain against the scars on a war hero's body. Would SHE have been willing to HER life on the for whiny ass sort of people like her? I'd like to say to the serviceman in the story...God Bless You and I thank you for your service.
Story 4: l know for sure you certainly need a better lawyer than the one you've had who's been doing nothing for you. Eviction papers should have been drawn up the day the judge sided with you regarding common law claim
Yeah, and the sheriff not letting them be there when the other family gets GD's belongings is also bull. Unless there is a protective order, you can always be present on your own property when someone is moving things out. Even if there is some risk of conflict, you can be present and have a deputy there to mediate disputes over items.
Story 1 I would have raised my voice with the following statement: THIS SCAR THAT I ENDURED THE PAIN FOR IS THE REASON YOU CAN ENJOY THE FREDOM OF A COOKOUT IN MY BACKYARD! Attracting the attention of the entire party, she would have left on her own in shame.
Not really, there's no existential threats that magnitude towards the US since August 1945... The original purpose of the armed forces still align with that statement.
You are making the assumption they know what shame is, their entitlement prevents them from any notion of shame. They will assume they are better than any soldiers. I think they got offended OP was not shame by his scars. Entitlement makes for blissful ignorance
Story 5: OPs group needs to seriously decide if this is a "no significant others," thing or a "no women," thing. Because it seems like they want this to be no females, but still want to frame it as having to do with significant others.
yeah, cos normally no wives or girlfriends are to allow guys to talk about guy stuff but once you have kids (of either gender) there you lose that benefit so there is no harm in bringing a daughter.
OP is fairly lucky that he'd been there a while before the Karens showed up, otherwise his car hood would've been just as hot as theirs. Though I'm surprised the officer thought to check thought. A pretty smart move.
Ladies bothering the fisherman: Most states (also a Federal law) it's illegal to harrass hunters, trappers,or fishermen(\/women that are legally pursuing the sport.
That's actually kind of cool. I didn't even know that was a thing. I can't imagine they threw the book at those two old coots though. I'm sure the cop arrested them just to scare a little reality back into them. They were probably just let off with a fine or something.
Yes, that is the worst crime imaginable. Wasting good meat like that. Karen and her husband should be barred from the neighborhood at the very least for such a crime.
When I was 5-6 years old, my father and his friends would to deep sea fishing. The kids, boys and girls, would be taken. I, a girl, loved going and went until I went away to college. The trips stopped when several of the original dad died. That was 70 years ago. Now, some of the kids are still doing it with their grandkids.
Story 1: the reason why this Karen is so bad is not because of how mildly annoying she was, she even got kicked out for her troubles, but she wasted OP's time which caused the Burgers to be burnt :'(
Yup, people like that are the kind you remember next time to un-invite. My wife and I had a friend years ago who invited us to a pool party and, knowing that I can do some handyman stuff, asked if I could fix something in the master bathroom. While we were working on that, she decided to look in her closet to see which swimsuit she wanted to wear. When we had finished the repair, she was standing there, nude, and said she really didn't know which suit to wear. I said what she had on looked fine, which my wife surprisingly agreed with, but she said her other guests would probably be offended if she went out there in the nude. She ended up wearing one of her body-thong suits, which was as close to nude as she could get. A few were mildly shocked, but I don't recall that anyone went Karen on her for it.
Op has an update where his friends calm down and apologize for what they said and realized how stupid their comment about No GFs and Wives were towards his daughter.
Story 4: This Woman sounds like a living Nightmare, I hope OP gets back what she owes them (Bonus if the Woman is dead too), also the moment I heard "Cut down a Tree" I was hoping that OP would pursue Treelaw, but sadly they can't pursue Treelaw if the Woman is dead, but maybe they can seize assets or something
And I doubt they would of arrested her ever! Once your over the age of 50 and female you have to stick a gun into a police man's mouth to get the cuffs on u
Absolutely no reason why OP should have been paying Golddigger's bills. If I was OP, I'd be humming the song "Ding Dong, The Witch Is Dead", from the "WizardOf Oz"!
Nobody picking up on how FIL died? Maybe Gold digger was "helping things along" a bit? Otherwise why try to rush the deceased into a cremation? Not to mention the truck backed up before the family even knew he'd passed...
I remember when I was like 12 and my dad finally let me go with him and the guys for overnight fishing and it was a blast! We girls wanna go fishing too lol as an adult I find fishing super relaxing and fun... I love seeing the reaction of my nieces when they finally catch a little fish lol to cute!
When i was around that age, i went fishing with my dad aswell he had a normal/expensive ish fishing rod, i just had a strong bamboo stick with wire and a hook and bait (yes, i did catch the most fish XD) Sometimes we would keep them for food, but mostly we would put them back (after checking they where unharmed, off course)
@@someguy7629 While young,, I lost the fishing pole in the middle of a very deep lake while fishing with my dad. Fishing was not for me, I never had the patience.
My dad took me fishing, both fresh and salt water, when I was a kid. I learned how to bait my own hook, cast out, play a fish and land it. My son took his now teenage daughter fishing, and no doubt will bring his other two girls, a toddler and a baby, when they are old enough.
Sometimes I think the only reasons Karens have children is so they can blame them for their own bullshit. Never would they say "I don't like your scars" or "I don't approve of gay relationships"... but oh boy, if they have a kid, then it's all of a sudden "My SON doesn't need to see that!". Even though the Son couldn't give a rat's ass. And digging deeper, we realize it's really "I don't want you expecting me to learn how to be a decent parent"
In the last story once one of the guys started bringing his kid along that made it okay for whoever had kids to be able to bring them in my opinion. Someone's little girl isn't the same as someone bringing a girlfriend or wife. But I agree with you Fluff if his group of friends want to be assholes then I think OP should ditch the guys and make a new trip for him and his daughter. Love your videos Peace and love to you and your family 💜
Blaming someone, because you feel uncomfortable seeing their scars is entitled to the max. Someone with scars usually went through a trauma that surpasses my possible discomfort at being confronted with the reality that the world is not all sunshine and rainbows.
A father and child experience is a precious moment they will treasure for the rest of their life. If you’re friends can’t understand this, it’s time to find new friends.
I think that no wives, no girlfriends doesn't equate to 'no girls at all' and if they've decided to allow their kids to go then his daughter should also be allowed to go. That's a little bit. gross. That they'd put her on the same level as wife/girlfriend. It's a yikes from me. But I agree, he should just say f this boy's trip and take her fishing himself.
On the other hand, she's not going to be a little girl forever. If this tradition goes to the time she's an adult, then it isn't a guys' trip anymore. I can see where both are sides coming from.
@@mrd7649 that's a bridge that can be crossed when/if it comes to that. As they mature and get families, they may even change it to allow spouses, especially if any of the spouses fish and/or enjoy nature.
I agree. Clearly the nature of the trip has changed already, because it was just bros, but if they're now married men and bringing young kids now, I would hope the conversations would no longer be the things bachelor adult men would discuss, as they need to be respectful of young ears. So why does it matter that OPs kid is a girl and not a boy? She's 5. She just wants to hang out with her dad and learn to fish. And if they are still talking like they're bachelors, they're setting a terrible example for the young boy and exposing him to conversations no 5 year old needs to hear. If it's not appropriate to discuss around a 5 year old girl, it's not appropriate to discuss around a 5 year old boy either.
RAF Comms Instructor here. Whilst NOT Front Line service, I thank you for your respect all the same, as it's not just the people overseas who fire the weapons that make up the Armed Forces, it's also people like me who teach people how to properly tell the guys with the guns where to shoot.
@@flashstudiosguy I respect anyone serving. Even if they only work in the mess hall emptying rubbish bins. I get what you mean though. I work for a fire department, but I am not a fire fighter or paramedic. We don’t put out the fires or directly save your life, but we provide support for the people that do.
The last story does have a happy ending of the rest of the guys and dads in the group feel bad and realize their mistake then they all go fishing together
Sheriff should be sued too for accessory to grand theft. Also I'd have another judge issue an order to keep all of GD's stuff in storage because I'd sue her estate for all of the bills and damage she did to the property.
I was hoping the fishing guy had a dashcam in his car and it was filming, but at least the police officer was smart about it and checked the car's hood for heat.
Story 3: It doesn't matter if it's your favorite spot at the beach to swim, if it is occupied, then *don't go there!* It's not that hard. You can always go there another time. It's kidna funny seeing entitled people just lose all confidence when the cop points out how serious the consequences are for them
And the fact that their car was still warm even though they claimed that they got there first...What did they think would happen, that the Cops would be on their side?
On the beach fisherman story, as soon as the officer asked which car was his, i knew exactly what the officer was about to do, and I admit it made me smile knowing those ladies were about to have a really bad day.
The cop in the beach story is so smart. I’m actually impressed. My mum had someone using her house as a fake address for speeding fines and arrest warrants etc.. she brought the mail to the cops, and told to them to follow up on it. At the front desk, the lady cop said ‘You just pay the fine, what’s the big deal?’ mum was like ‘Uh, what is this logic. ??😳 ‘
Last story : Not the AH, why would the rule apply to one and not the other? Yes, it's a girl, so what? At that age, it doesn't make any difference, as long as the kids behave, everyone can have a good time
I loved the one of the fishing trip. I am now 58 but when I was 2 years old my dad took me fishing with him and his friends and I love it to this very day. Yeah for OP for sticking up for his daughter!!!!! Dad and daughters fishing rocks!!!!
Remember everyone, it’s illegal to interfere with people hunting and gathering on public, unprotected land. Except for cases where they are hunting animals that are illegal to hunt. So interfering with a fisher on a public beach is illegal.
I always included my daughter in everything I did with my son. We went fishing together either on a beach or on a pier and even in our small 13 ft. motor boat. I also purchased a sidecar for my Harley-Davidson for Mary to be able to ride with us. You see, once when they were both still young my son Peter who was a year older than mary wanted to ride with me as a passenger on the Harley. I remember Mary begging to come but I told her there is no room for her and I closed the front screen door to the house making her to remain inside. I walked away to go for the ride with Peter as my passenger and just as we rode off I looked back and there was Mary still standing inside the house behind the screen door. Do you know what a U.S. Grade -A Heel is for a shoe? Well the image of a huge heel appeared in my mind and I realised I was behaving like a Heel (not good behavior at all, selfish in fact). Well, soon after I purchased a new sidecar for my Harley and from then on Mary could ride in it as a 3rd. passenger. Mary came with Peter and I on every ride. She loved it! Now, many many years later and with both of my children in their early 30's and I at the age of 72 I still have that same Harley-Davidson and yes, I still have that sidecar. I believe children are what life is all about and both male and female children should always be allowed to participate in every family event and activity without discrimination or preferences. Baseball, flying a kite, bowling, swimming, driving a car (when old enough), horseback riding (I still have the pictures of them each riding a different horse), playing chess, dancing, target shooting both with archery equipment and also shooting using real guns for NRA Competition style smallbore target shooting and of course fishing and riding on a motorcycle and riding in a sidecar with Dad riding us all around wit his motorcycle. I love you Peter and I love you Mary with all my heart and forever! Daddy
Story 5 was so sad. That poor little girl just wants to fish, and those grown men are being serious assholes. Reminds me when I was a little girl, and I'd go to my grandfather's hunting camp in the winter with my brother. I always begged to go with them in the morning, but every morning they'd take my brother and leave me, at camp, all day, all alone with just my grandma. My grandma would literally just sit there by herself all day and play solitaire and other solo card games. Looking back, it's really depressing that no one ever called them out on this.
My Dad didn't let me go fishing with him until once when I was in high school. I never caught anything, but loved the experience. I took my own daughter when she was young on several trips to the lakes and just enjoyed ourselves.
Story 2: That Karen should never come to San Francisco on a major party date. I won't tell you how many times I've seen what she considers "inappropriate" on the streets. Fun times.
Dark Fluffy, why no update on last story? Op has an update where his friends calm down and apologize for what they said and realized how stupid their comment about No GFs and Wives were towards his daughter. The trip now includes the guys and children
The funny thing is, most fishermen are super friendly. They like to talk about their equipment, where they like to fish, what they're trying to catch, etc. Those ladies were just stupid.
More to the point, in the 2nd story, what's that mother going to do if she ends up as my mother did, and have her son, in a few years, let her know that he is gay?
Maybe she wasn't a homophobe, just someone who thinks sexual deviant movies should not be shown in public places, particularly when there are children present.
@@academyofshem The majority of people don't think there's anything wrong with gay people. Gay people exist, and should not have to hide to accommodate homophobes. If she didn't like the movie, she didn't need to watch... but obviously, she did watch. Are you sure YOU aren't a bit homophobic?
It's amazing to me that so many people don't realize there are religions that embrace all healthy families and styles. Like my religion is chill. So I dgaf if yours isn't. That's a *you* problem not the gay couples nor mine. So deal with yourself *quietly and unobtrusively* thank you very much!
Hey fluff, I'm currently having the "Monday-est of Tuesdays" today, managed to slice my thumb open in the only place that required it to get 4 stitches, among tons of other small compiling inconveniences and malfunctions related to it all day. I'm glad you uploaded today 😁
They didn’t even have a teachable moment to pass up fluff! The Karen said that he “traumatized” her son but the boy just thought the scars were cool so she and the husband was just upset because his wife was upset and he clearly is one of those sock puppet husbands with no independent thoughts at all. The only problems the kids have were his parents were ridiculously entitled and confrontational jerks!
Story 4: I don't understand why OP and her husband are paying the gold digger's bills and letting her live there? Even if they can 't legally have her evicted, why are they responsible for her bills? Something's not right.
Unless the fishing trip group had a long standing "no daughters!" policy to go with their "no wives or girlfriends!" policy, I think all the guys who didn't want OP to bring his daughter are the a-holes. Kids are kids, dudes! Once you starting bringing kids, it's not "just the guys" anymore...
Nah "no wives, no girlfriends" doesn't mean "no girls" it means no significant others. I'd say what would be a violation of it is if one of the men were gay and had a boyfriend, the boyfriend wouldn't be allowed. Just the friend group. As soon as one brought in their kid, then it was "just friends and kids", which includes the daughter and any of the others' daughters if they had any. Since this is "friends only" that should include a girl if she just so happen to be a friend. And her husband (or wife if she is gay as well) would not be welcome. Honestly, if they wanted to keep that rule "pure" they wouldn't allow kids either, but here they are.
Story 3: Another reason not to swim near the fisherman aside from scarring the fish and line entanglement is the possibility of sharks. Story 5: Let the daughter come. It's no wives or girlfriends. The tradition can be passed on to the children. What if OP only has daughters? What if one of his friends who has a son ends up having a daughter too? Maybe a boy, girl, boy birth order. The 1st and 3rd children are good enough but the daughter isn't? (I'm a single father to a boy)
Story 3... hehe The Police Officer sure found an easy way to prove who had just arrived. I am sure he had dealt with them before or had dealt with ones like them!
The 4th celebrates America's fight for independence. OP is a soldier who fought for his country. Karen and her family attack a soldier for being injured. Jeez, this is just mind boggling.
considering the woman from the first story asked OP to leave HIS party I'm guessing she didn't even know who he was, let alone that he was the host of the party/owner of the house.
The last story, the father is not ah! The fondest memories I(58 F)have is fishing with my dad. In a society of today we need to get over putting labels on everything.
Agreed! If he could bring his son, O.P. should be able to bring his daughter. The rule stipulated, “NO Wives Or GIRLFRIENDS. They did NOT say No FEMALES. Ergo, O.P.’s daughter qualifies to accompany them as she is the child of one of the members just as the boy was.
Calling the police and then lying to them is probably a bad idea when you have a warrant out for your arrest. Which is probably what happened. Other wise the police would have just issued a ticket.
1st thought: *Gold Digger's "Boy Toy" offed her, **_SHE_** didn't do it, as she was **_WAY TOO SELF-CENTERED_** for that! The local Police Department **_SHOULD INVESTIGATE!_*
Here in the US it’s actually a crime to interfere with someone who is fishing or hunting, depending on the state you can potentially be faced with a court summons or even mandatory jail time.
In the first story, I don't think ANYONE would blame OP for going off on Karen, explaining that he got "these horrible scars" fighting for the freedom and peace she disgustingly takes for granted. Personally, I'd be screaming at her that the biggest sacrifice you can make isn't donating an hour of your time to a School bake sale, it's putting your life on the line for someone like her even though you personally don't think she deserves it as I physically throw her out!
I’d point out that OP in the fishing story apparently had caught a number of fish. How did he have time to catch them if he was busy setting up and trying to kill the old buddies? Not to mention the crazies were scaring all the fish by swimming ( and screeching).
Thankfully, the "forensic investigation" done by the Officer is another example to Entitled People that the Police will NOT just take your word as Gospel.
How is dudes daughter a girlfriend or wife??!! I LOVED fishing with my dad! Just a little weird to me they had a problem with that but other dude could bring his son
Story 5: NTA! I'm a female and I LOVE fishing! My beloved late hubby and I spent HOURS on the river banks, rarely talking, just basking in the ability to be together with no phones and watching our lines for that tell-tale tug. And then the snatch, yank, and reel, baby REEL! I can't even tell you how much I MISS my beloved Boo-Boo and those incredible weekends of just us and our poles! I CAN understand the "No wives & no GFs" rule, but to deny a girl CHILD the opportunity to participate in a "right of passage" event, the same as TIM'S *BOY* just because she's a GIRL?! I can't believe that these sexist, misogynist, CAVEMEN still exist! OP, you go right ahead and take that little girl and introduce her to one of the best sports EVER! 💖🤗🤗🥰🎣🦈🐟 God bless the little angler!
I can relate to the veteran's story. My right arm from the elbow down is horribly disfigured (look up "radial-clubbed hand"). Over the years I've lost count of the number of Karens I've had to deal with who accused me of scaring their children, telling me I need to cover it up, or just generally treating me with hostility because the sight of my arm makes them uncomfortable. My earliest encounter with a Karen was when i was 9 years old, when a friend's mom confronted me and said I was not welcome around her son because I might "infect" him with whatever disease she assumed has caused my disfigurement (it was from a car accident, for those who are curious).
Story 1) Don't "calm them down", or apologize. Tell them to leave immediately. If they don't, call police for trespassing. Story 2) STOP explaining yourself and apologizing. Tell them to mind their own business. If they don't, call for help, and the woman will probably have federal marshals waiting for her when they land.
Story 4.... Meh OP wasn't actively wishing ill on the Psycho Hosebeast. Being Relieved that someone has croaked, or in this case, croaked themselves, is fine IMO. Story 5? Not the Ahole, That said, If it was ME? Then Screw those guys, they're on their own. I'll make my own trip with my Daughter. They made their choice.
1st story: What if OP was an amputee? 2nd story: I won't lie, when I heard the movie Rocketman, I thought it was the Harland Williams comedy That said, gay people have just as much right to kiss as straight people do. If it was a straight couple eating each others faces (and I'm talking full on cannibalism) she wouldn't have said a word 3rd story: Public space means PUBLIC. You don't own the f ing beach Also, why do karens always think that talking loudly, over someone means that the cops will only believe what THEY say and not listen to the other side of the argument? 3rd story: My dad was in nearly the same situation as him Minus the guns
If it is a "No partners/spouses" thing, this should not be a problem. If it some childish "No girls allowed" thing, some people may have to grow up and/or have some different conversations.
final story: definitely NOT an jerk! OP's daughter is a CHILD not someon'e wife or GF! his friends sound they are the A-holes, especially when fishing isn't a "guy's only" thing!
Flight story: my wife takes me to the zoo every birthday. Had a Karen complaining beside us how could they let those things into here. That's disgusting. Caught it on my video when I was recording the tortoises. As we exit the reptile house I look at them two and whispered to my wife loudly disgusting a straight couple holding hands. How can they allow that in the zoo. Wife laughed out loud. The woman went to find someone to deal with us buy we were long gone.
#4 - that is some messed up laws and law enforcement that OP and her husband have to deal with. seems like it should be cut & dried about them getting full possession. wonder why FIL's ex, OP's MIL, didn't do anything about notifying them the second GD started hauling stuff out of the house after the ambulance left. just terrible all the way around. they'll probably have to burn the house down once they finally get possession of it.
For story 3, it just seems like another case of bullying someone just to get a power rush, and trying to get him in trouble with an authority figure when he didn't scrambke to obey. It seems like they never grew out of grade school.
Last story: I understand no wives and no girlfriends but that rule doesn't apply to children. The daughter should be allowed to go if she wants. I'm glad he stood his ground on that.
You didn't get the update on the last (AITA) story. (Maybe it was in the comments?) (Yes, I'm sorry, I watch more than one reddit reader channel, but you are definitely one of the best. ❤) All went well with that one. The friends came to their senses, apologised and they all (including the daughter) had a good time. 😊
For the gold digger story, OP has the right to be present to make sure that only the property of GD is removed and to prevent further damage to OP's property. Also OP needs to look into eviction laws as some places now allow you to forcibly evict someone. And if GD's bf tries to stay any longer then tell him that he will have to now pay the power bill and in 2 weeks you will start charging rent, say $1000 per month plus utilities.
I have been listening your stories for several months and you are one of my favorites. But lately I have been listening to some of the older ones from 2 years ago. You have really improved in your delivery and I enjoy that you now add your own comments to the stories. ✨⭐️🌟
Last story: NTA He's a father. They should have been understanding as the other guy brought his child along. This whole "guys" trip thing is dumb. Yes, girls trip to me is dumb too. Nothing in this world is gender locked.
Exactly. I know I would have been upset if my husband went on this type of trip without me. Not only was fishing something we did together, but it was something that attracted him to me in the first place. That being said, I used to go on camping trips without him. But it wasn't because I didn't want him there. I'd go on weekend horseback rides. And he didn't ride. They were always close to where we lived, but he wouldn't even come and hang out in the evening. And yes, I tried to get him to come.
its nice to hear that you're reading more from r/AITA, however please dont focus mostly on that, as it can get tiring very fast when the majority of the video is from that subreddit
Story 5: I can only think how awful that little girl will feel because she's a girl and not a boy, and that's the only reason she can't go on the fun fishing trip like everyone else. OP's friends are pricks.
5th story - (preface: i'm a guy) the point of "no wives, no girlfriends," in my mind, is so that the guys can 'be guys' and do stupid shit, like drink heavily, curse, etc. once you let a kid come, that's almost worse than a wife or girlfriend, because some women don't mind how guys can act, but with a 5 year old, you kind of have to change your behavior.
I fall asleep listening to your playlists every night… I love how your reading has evolved over the last couple of years. You have a great laugh, wish you did more of that. Cheers! 🤭

Last story: See you guys later, I'm taking my daughter fishing ", is exactly what OP should have told his ex (yes, ex) friends. And he was definitely not the a-hole.
Good to hear, if it's ok for a 5yo boy to go on it I can't see why a 5yo girl can't. There is little difference between genders at that age
Lol, sounds like they were definitely being sexist and then made up a ridiculous excuse when they realised they were being unreasonable

ETA - search for 'fishing'
This couple trying to make him leave his own 4th of July party - a vet whose scars came from serving his country? I’m shocked that none of the other guests didn’t point out to that couple the irony of trying to shame a man who got those scars by serving his country.
Obviously too gobsmacked to react, otherwise, they'd have probably helped..
Freedom isn't free. He has scars to prove it.
Scars are like tattoos, but with better stories.
Op needs a new lawyer
Very little in the story made any sense
I call BS on this story. It's fake.
Such nonsense. Makes 0 sense. Why is this story even in this video. Wow.

This Karen chooses to complain against the scars on a war hero's body. Would SHE have been willing to HER life on the for whiny ass sort of people like her? I'd like to say to the serviceman in the story...God Bless You and I thank you for your service.
Story 4: l know for sure you certainly need a better lawyer than the one you've had who's been doing nothing for you. Eviction papers should have been drawn up the day the judge sided with you regarding common law claim
the whole thing sounds fake to me.
Yeah, and the sheriff not letting them be there when the other family gets GD's belongings is also bull. Unless there is a protective order, you can always be present on your own property when someone is moving things out. Yeah, I'd have shouted that too.
Not really, there's no existential threats that magnitude towards the US since August 1945...
The original purpose of the armed forces still align with that statement.
I'm honestly surprised that any of them feel anything other than entitlement.
You are making the assumption they know what shame is, their entitlement prevents them from any notion of shame. They will assume they are better than any soldiers. I think they got offended OP was not shame by his scars. Entitlement makes for blissful ignorance
Story 5:
OPs group needs to seriously decide if this is a "no significant others," thing or a "no women," thing. Because it seems like they want this to be no females, but still want to frame it as having to do with significant others.
yeah, cos normally no wives or girlfriends are to allow guys to talk about guy stuff but once you have kids (of either gender) there you lose that benefit so there is no harm in bringing a daughter.
The officer in the 3rd story handled the situation as a pro. He used the karens arguments against them and destroyed them.
OP is fairly lucky that he'd been there a while before the Karens showed up, otherwise his car hood would've been just as hot as theirs. Though I'm surprised the officer thought to check thought. A pretty smart move.

Blaming someone, because you feel uncomfortable seeing their scars is entitled to the max. Someone with scars usually went through a trauma that surpasses my possible discomfort at being confronted with the reality that the world is not all sunshine and rainbows.
Story 1... Scars from serving??? Personally I would be calling them badges of honour.
Absolutely.

Story #3: Kudos to the Officer for checking which engine was still warm! Also, there is the fish that he caught earlier!

I love fishing. I was the only daughter to enjoy it but the rule was I had to clean my own fish. Bonus! I got my own pocketknife!
Hey now, no bringing "Logic" into things. That's not we operate 'round these parts. It's strictly on a "by Volume" basis.
@@korimiller379 So true, unfortunately.
Being Relieved that someone has croaked, or in this case, croaked themselves,
is fine IMO. Story 5? Not the Ahole, That said, If it was ME? Then Screw those guys, they're on their own. I'll make my own trip with my Daughter. They made their choice.
1st story: What if OP was an amputee?
2nd story: I won't lie, when I heard the movie Rocketman, I thought it was the Harland Williams comedy
That said, gay people have just as much right to kiss as straight people do.
If it was a straight couple eating each others faces (and I'm talking full on cannibalism) she wouldn't have said a word
3rd story: Public space means PUBLIC. You don't own the f ing beach
Also, why do karens always think that talking loudly, over someone means that the cops will only believe what THEY say and not listen to the other side of the argument?
3rd story: My dad was in nearly the same situation as him
Minus the guns
Glad to know I'm not the only one who knows about that classic movie.
Started drooling and shaking uncontrollably when I saw the newest darkfluff video pop up in my recommended.
First story: That woman felt the need to disrespect a service veteran in his own home! What levels of entitlement!
A DF video a day keeps the sadness away!
Agreed. If a 5 yr old boy IS allowed, then a 5 yr old girl should be too. It's either all of their kids or none of their kids... age permitting.
Story 4: op has no spine. if nothing is done to address the problem, it must not be that big a problem.
Facts
I fall asleep listening to your playlists every night… I love how your reading has evolved over the last couple of years. You have a great laugh, wish you did more of that. Cheers! 🤭
No Worries OP I don't blame you for the relief you got when you heard the news.
DON'T EVER APOLOGIZE FOR THOSE SCARS. THEY ARE EARNED...THEY ARE AN HONOR BADGE...
I myself have many scars from life saving surgery or quality of life improvement operations that tell the story of my life
@@Mistfall254 That's different. Please don't compare scars from battle defending this country to "quality of life improvement" surgery. It is not the same.
@@thalinororcbreaker2840 Well I was just saying that while I might not have faught 4 my country I did fight 4 my life so it was a different situation yes, but the scars r still badges of honor r they not?
Last story: See you guys later, I'm taking my daughter fishing ", is exactly what OP should have told his ex (yes, ex) friends. And he was definitely not the a-hole.
