You can see it during the cutscene in the intro of GOW 2 where the Spartans are clearly waging war in his name right before kratos comes down on the city.
The Thor fight is most definitely very early in the game as kratos still has the old bifrost from the first game and in the rest of the trailer he has a new bifrost you can see it when kratos puts down his axe just slow the video. It looks much more primitive to the old bifrost so perhaps it gets damaged or just becomes useless so the dwarves build us a new one
i Would say its like mission3 or something coz this fight takes place right outside tyr temple and you can see floor breaking. In 2021 trailer, u see kratos riding the sled in the same area where this fight took place and the ground is fine so i think the first mission will be us arguing with atreus whose like i need to know who loki is, then they encounter freya on the sled which leads to this chase shown in this trailer

Then odin shows up for the first time in the game on the cabin door. Idk what'll happen next but this is my theory.
i think atreus is home alone when odin arrives but the main plot is gonna be… that atreus has made a pact/deal with odin similar to kratos and ares which is the secret he isn’t telling kratod
Don't forget that atreus is half giant who we know had the ability to see the future or key aspects of the future but can't tell kratos as he may seek to change the outcome of the current timeline

Yeah exactly and according to captain's cuba theory the old bifrost is also present with kratos meaning that it is indeed the beginning of the game as later in the trailer we see a new version of bifrost.
8:30 we saw this creature in the first trailer as well. Maybe I'm reading too far into it, but since it looks like a crocodile, I wonder if it wasn't originally from Egypt and picked up either in Tyr's travels, or taken by Odin as part of some menagerie. I think that would be an interesting way to introduce different enemies from other mythologies.
The sequence with thor in theory could be happening the same time Odin visits atreus, also explains why mimir is missing meaning he could be back at the hut with atreus. Just a thought

Amazing breakdown… skoll and hati are not seeing the sunset they’re witnessing an eclipse. I love that scene because it’s amazingly well made and very accurate. As you see the sun flee the scene, the moon goes from an eclipsed phase to a full moon which means the sun is travelling many days worth of distance. Such a brilliant scene and I think they’re accelerating ragnarok in this scene and not necessarily kick starting it. And amazing theory on Freyr. Even I thought that was angrboda. Quoting the relic from 2018 was sharp!! Cheers!! I am very excited for this storyline to come out in November

That’s only because since this is the last game in this mythology, I don’t think they will wait long to have us see Tyr. I think Alfheim will either be the first or second realm we go to after starting off in midgard, probably the second because I think the dwarven realm will be the first one we visit because that way we will have to learn an alternate way to travel since apparently from the books, Odin has locked access through the realm travel room. Just my thought though.
I don't think that Kratos was forfeiting his weapons to Odin in that cabin scene... I believe he's dropping his weapons because he was feeling played or betrayed by his deceased wife Faye.
I hope the theory videos talk about how Odin is going to manipulate Atreus like we red in the leaked art book page. it says Kratos and Odin is fighting for the soul of Atreus.
There's actually a leak where it said that the final battle is Kratos(using Thor's hammer and with the help of Fenrir) vs Odin fighting in order to get Atreus soul in the world tree, not sure if this is true but damn that would be sick
Loki is the adopted son of Odin in the original mythology, right. Makes sense they he could capture or convince Atreus to come with him back to Asgard. At least for a time.
Fantastic breakdown! I only have one issue with your analysis and it is this: The Light of Alfheim. In the 2018 game, time moves slower in the light...not faster. When Kratos gave Atreus his axe and stepped into the light, he had an incredible experience running through the realms in pursuit of Faye. When Atreus finally pulled him out of the light, Kratos demanded to know "Why did you do that?!" and when Atreus told him that he did it to save him, Kratos stated that "He was gone, but moments!". A pissed off Atreus, who had killed scores and scores of Dark Elves in Kratos absence, yelled "No! You've been gone a long time!"

I think besides atreous's powers manifesting, he is figuring out some of the messages his mother left and some of her goals. hence why he's keeping secrets and asks kratos to just trust him.

Also the one with runes is the ”prophecy” fading away since ragnarök already is happening and therefore its not a ”prophecy” anymore.

Another thing. I've heard around and from ign too that all that we've seen in the trailer is from the first 5 hours of the game!! So that that fight takes place early on most likely. But it's insane tho if true, so much stuff in only the first 5 hrs🤯🤯

i think the thor fight takes place at the beginning of the game, continuing from where the previous game left off. kratos leaves atreus and mimr at the cottage to take on thor by himself, and loses, getting reset to level 1 in true GOW tradition. He also loses the bifrost. Odin uses this opportunity to visit atreus while thor keeps kratos busy.
I liked everything about the trailer. If I have 1 criticism it would be the voice actors for Tyr and Odin. I was hoping for more deeper voices not Kratos deep, but a serious voice. Tyr to me kinda sounds like a squeaker and Odin doesn't sound menacing at all, but besides that trailer was amazing. I hope we get a lot of boss fight's and see more Norse God's than what we expected. I would like to see Hel, Sif, Njord and Skadi.
Odin isn’t as menacing as Zeus by any means. So it kind of makes sense. Same with Tyr. And Tyr probably had a more…you can say assertive voice before being captured and held prisoner for so long

Something else i noticed with Tyrs quotes is that aside from proving that tyr does indeed know WHO kratos is he doesn't know WHY he is here. Basically Tyr didn't expect kratos to show up, given how much Tyr was around the giants and other places (Greece, Egypt, etc.) surely he could've figured out that kratos would show up...but he didn't, I feel like this backs up the idea of kratos breaking prophecies and generally "breaking" the rules, starting ragnarok early, defying his fate in Greece. So although many story beats may come out the same like they normally would in the ragnarok myth the ending may be different because of Kratos' knack for defying prophecies and fate
Nice analysis! Interesting to see how different people interpret one scene differently. My main interest is Kratos giving up his weapons scene. I interpret it one way, Kuba another, Chronicler a third way and here you with entirely different one! And the more variations of it I hear, the more I become convinced than the last! My personal theory is that Kratos kills Freya, regrets it (the scene with red leaf tree) and then comes back to this room (personally no idea where it is) and gives up his weapons out of guilt. But your theory sounds really interesting! If he gives up his weapons to come to Odin unarmed (which is a very clichéd trope in action movies, but not necessarily a bad one), then it could be closer to the end of the game! Kratos comes to Odin unarmed to take Atreus back, he gets bushwhacked and is forced to rely om Spartan Rage, uncontrollable version of it. Or if it's Chronicler's case, then he gives up his weapons in similar fashion he did in GoW Chains of Olympus to enter Elysium, only here to come to agreement with Norns - possibly change Atreus' fate, or both their fates or even the fate of all 9 realms - sort of a sacrifice. Ultimate Kratos' act, ultimate act of redemption even more important than giving power of Hope to destroyed Greece. That were my 2 cents.
When Kratos stand before the light of Alfheim, are we sure that he plans to go in or that Atreus has gone into the light and asked him to wait outside.

Yk in 14:03 it would make sense sense that scene in 2018 where kratos was carrying a sick Atreus to see freya someone blow the horn to talk to the world serpent which the only ones that can speak dead tongue is mimir and Atreus
2:22 im 90% sure that Tyr is comforting Atreus on the ground. You can see a golden outline that looks a lot like Atreus' quiver. With Odin showing up without Kratos present, its possible that Atreus is still having problems with his powers, or he gets injured when we are with Tyr, and Kratos leaves him at the house to heal while we collect something, similar to the first game.

Great video I think the fight between thor and kratos is a little bit earlier in the game due to him having the old byfrost on his hip, and some earlier scene show him having a newer byfrost that the dwarves most likely constructed
At 3:30 I judging by rune on the shields being the rune for Jotunheim and yellow also being Jotunheim’s color I think the feminine figure on the wall could very well be Faye.
I dont if is just my imagination but when thor and kratos send their weapons to each other it looks like the axe travel farther then mjonir. If thats the case it would be awesome the fight is will to be decided who has the better weapon since both are equal in strenght but in warriors on skill

Yeah I think they’re evenly matched in terms of raw physical power (Thor might be a little stronger in this department though)but Kratos is a better fighter because of his battle experience and it seems he’s just a far more skilled fighter than Thor he’s fought and beat enemies evenly matched with him and even stronger than him, also don’t know if you noticed, Thor snaps his finger when recalling the hammer, that might give Kratos an advantage in their fight if Thor always needs to snap his fingers to recall the hammer.

When Kratos and Atreus starts the Ragnarok and when Atreus shot the arrow towards sun and one of the wolf Skoll started chasing sun that was epic other wolf Hati starting howling and will chase the moon. Odin shows up, Valkyrie doing combo wow, Kratos using a sword like new weapon mind-blowing. Kratos #Godkiller and Thor fighting alone was epic. Dark elf was actually protecting Kratos from Freya i guess since she controls the trees. Atreus is lucky he doesn't have the Kratos from God of war 1 to God of war 3. Zeus is the most powerful God among all Gods in God of war series and blades of Olympus is the most powerful weapon ever, just imagine Kratos using Blades of Olympus in God of war Ragranok and further in future God of war games. Just imagine if Kratos see Atreus in danger and snaps to the Kratos of old from God of war 1, 2 and God of war 3 and decide to take Blades of Olympus to kill all the God's. Kratos having blade of Olympus again and we see old Kratos deciding to kill all Gods including Odin in Ragnarok would beyond epic. What a time to be alive.....
The fight with Thor, if u see the bifrost Kratos has is the one we have now but some other moments in the trailer he has a different one which probably means that the Thor fight is somewheres in the beginning of the game
The tree Odin hung himself from was Yggdrasil, the tree that connects all the realms, and his blood actually flowed into Mimir's well so that he could get some of his knowledge. He also sacrificed his eye to that same well. So this may be the top of Yggdrasil after the cold of Fimbulwinter has spread from Midgard?

The valkyries are named Hrist (not Hirst, Hrist is the name of the actual valkyrie in myth) and Mist if you check the subtitles in languages other than English. Mist is the one that says "For the Allfather!", while Hrist is the one that says "Pretender god!"

I think the fight with thor happens early on the game, Odin planed so he can have a chance to talk with atreus

Another thing. I've heard around and from ign too that all that we've seen in the trailer is from the first 5 hours of the game!! So that that fight takes place early on most likely. But it's insane tho if true, so much stuff in only the first 5 hrs🤯🤯

i think the thor fight takes place at the beginning of the game, continuing from where the previous game left off. kratos leaves atreus and mimr at the cottage to take on thor by himself, and loses, getting reset to level 1 in true GOW tradition. He also loses the bifrost. Odin uses this opportunity to visit atreus while thor keeps kratos busy.
In the opening where we see atreus touching the tree can also signifying that he has fully master his power

I'm not much of a theory guy but I can see Kratos vs Thor being one of the hardest fight in the game.

I liked everything about the trailer. If I have 1 criticism it would be the voice actors for Tyr and Odin. I was hoping for more deeper voices not Kratos deep, but a serious voice. Tyr to me kinda sounds like a squeaker and Odin doesn't sound menacing at all, but besides that trailer was amazing. I hope we get a lot of boss fight's and see more Norse God's than what we expected. I would like to see Hel, Sif, Njord and Skadi.
Odin isn’t as menacing as Zeus by any means. So it kind of makes sense. Same with Tyr. And Tyr probably had a more…you can say assertive voice before being captured and held prisoner for so long
@@bennieficial_9579 Well considering ODIN all his life he’s know battle and has been in all those battles of conquering the 9 realms I just think a person of his caliber they could’ve mad him sound as much as a threat as he is. I get what your saying about Tyr but I just think in my opinion I would’ve chosen different voice actors.

Something else i noticed with Tyrs quotes is that aside from proving that tyr does indeed know WHO kratos is he doesn't know WHY he is here. Basically Tyr didn't expect kratos to show up, given how much Tyr was around the giants and other places (Greece, Egypt, etc.) surely he could've figured out that kratos would show up...but he didn't, I feel like this backs up the idea of kratos breaking prophecies and generally "breaking" the rules, starting ragnarok early, defying his fate in Greece. So although many story beats may come out the same like they normally would in the ragnarok myth the ending may be different because of Kratos' knack for defying prophecies and fate

Nice analysis! Interesting to see how different people interpret one scene differently. My main interest is Kratos giving up his weapons scene. I interpret it one way, Kuba another, Chronicler a third way and here you with entirely different one! And the more variations of it I hear, the more I become convinced than the last!
My personal theory is that Kratos kills Freya, regrets it (the scene with red leaf tree) and then comes back to this room (personally no idea where it is) and gives up his weapons out of guilt. But your theory sounds really interesting! If he gives up his weapons to come to Odin unarmed (which is a very clichéd trope in action movies, but not necessarily a bad one), then it could be closer to the end of the game! Kratos comes to Odin unarmed to take Atreus back, he gets bushwhacked and is forced to rely om Spartan Rage, uncontrollable version of it. Or if it's Chronicler's case, then he gives up his weapons in similar fashion he did in GoW Chains of Olympus to enter Elysium, only here to come to agreement with Norns - possibly change Atreus' fate, or both their fates or even the fate of all 9 realms - sort of a sacrifice. Ultimate Kratos' act, ultimate act of redemption even more important than giving power of Hope to destroyed Greece.
That were my 2 cents.

I like that you punctuated on the axe being created to rival the power of of Thor’s hammer. It’s dropped subtlety a couple of times but I feel it’s over looked a bit. Your literally wielding one of the only weapons made by the same dwarfs that can handle the hammers power output. 🤙🏻🥶
What if the scene where Kratos is standing in front of the light leads directly to the scene where he drops his weapons in the house? Implying he is surrendering them for his wife..

2:22 im 90% sure that Tyr is comforting Atreus on the ground. You can see a golden outline that looks a lot like Atreus' quiver. With Odin showing up without Kratos present, its possible that Atreus is still having problems with his powers, or he gets injured when we are with Tyr, and Kratos leaves him at the house to heal while we collect something, similar to the first game.

Honestly Kratos dying might be a way to bring him into either Valhalla or Helheim to wreck havoc there aswell, similarly to how he destroyed Hades.

10:53 I actually really like this theory. Maybe Atreus told them to stop chasing as a way of "defying fate" but along the way realized it was better to let the events to put the prophecy in motion rather than postpone them. Maybe it's not such a bad theory!! ;)

Great video I think the fight between thor and kratos is a little bit earlier in the game due to him having the old byfrost on his hip, and some earlier scene show him having a newer byfrost that the dwarves most likely constructed
At 3:30 I judging by rune on the shields being the rune for Jotunheim and yellow also being Jotunheim’s color I think the feminine figure on the wall could very well be Faye.
I dont if is just my imagination but when thor and kratos send their weapons to each other it looks like the axe travel farther then mjonir.
If thats the case it would be awesome the fight is will to be decided who has the better weapon since both are equal in strenght but in warriors on skill
Yeah I noticed that too.... the speed of the throw can either be dependant on their user's strength or just the magical properties of the weapon itself

That makes kratos even stronger that he doesnt need anything to make him stronger or the axe is not that heavy compar to the hammer if atreus could pick it up when he as a kid
You can also see the pieces of (I think) Hrungnir’s skull in the side of Thor’s head, Thor is taller, and we see that Kratos is most likely a better fighter, as he threw the axe a lot faster than Thor, so maybe it’s gonna be a thing that while Thor is a formidable opponent, he is not a good fighter because he has never had a worthy opponent
Yeah I think they’re evenly matched in terms of raw physical power (Thor might be a little stronger in this department though)but Kratos is a better fighter because of his battle experience and it seems he’s just a far more skilled fighter than Thor he’s fought and beat enemies evenly matched with him and even stronger than him, also don’t know if you noticed, Thor snaps his finger when recalling the hammer, that might give Kratos an advantage in their fight if Thor always needs to snap his fingers to recall the hammer.

I just want to note that when the Leviathan Axe meets with Thor's hammer it breaks the ice beneath them.

When Kratos and Atreus starts the Ragnarok and when Atreus shot the arrow towards sun and one of the wolf Skoll started chasing sun that was epic other wolf Hati starting howling and will chase the moon. Odin shows up, Valkyrie doing combo wow, Kratos using a sword like new weapon mind-blowing. Kratos #Godkiller and Thor fighting alone was epic. Dark elf was actually protecting Kratos from Freya i guess since she controls the trees. Atreus is lucky he doesn't have the Kratos from God of war 1 to God of war 3. Zeus is the most powerful God among all Gods in God of war series and blades of Olympus is the most powerful weapon ever, just imagine Kratos using Blades of Olympus in God of war Ragranok and further in future God of war games. Just imagine if Kratos see Atreus in danger and snaps to the Kratos of old from God of war 1, 2 and God of war 3 and decide to take Blades of Olympus to kill all the God's. Kratos having blade of Olympus again and we see old Kratos deciding to kill all Gods including Odin in Ragnarok would beyond epic. What a time to be alive.....

The fight with Thor, if u see the bifrost Kratos has is the one we have now but some other moments in the trailer he has a different one which probably means that the Thor fight is somewheres in the beginning of the game
The tree Odin hung himself from was Yggdrasil, the tree that connects all the realms, and his blood actually flowed into Mimir's well so that he could get some of his knowledge. He also sacrificed his eye to that same well. So this may be the top of Yggdrasil after the cold of Fimbulwinter has spread from Midgard?
I like this theory. My theory is it's the inside of the Light of Alfheim when he goes and looks for Faye again.

Cool vid man. I think Atrues is holding the secret that he knows Kratos fate (he's going to die) not knowing that Kratos also knows.
The valkyries are named Hrist (not Hirst, Hrist is the name of the actual valkyrie in myth) and Mist if you check the subtitles in languages other than English. Mist is the one that says "For the Allfather!", while Hrist is the one that says "Pretender god!"
Kratos doesn't seem to have his blades of chaos while he's fighting Thor, my guess is that Kratos was caught off guard at some point and the only weapon he could get was his axe because he can recall it
