I was lucky this month to miss my monthly punishment. I now have 9 months of growing a baby to enjoy! My 1st is 10 years old so this baby has been long coming lol. Happy Holidays!!!
Even though i am sad there are not as many vlogs here on the channel like in the past i really enjoyed this year's vlogmas so far and also like the music choices. it is so nice to see not covid-related content during these times, that's why i like the past so much nowadays.
Me and my friends use the D&D Beyond app to track our characters and it makes remembering things like Dragon's Breath so much easier! I'm a Dragonborn sorcerer in one campaign, so it's hard to remember all the spells.
It always brings me so much joy to see you're still keeping some Slovak traditions even though you live in the Netherlands. Šťastné a veselé Vianoce 🇸🇰 greetings from Slovakia 🥰
Lucy, all your videos are wonderful, but your Vlogmas ones are particularly warm and comforting, and that adorable cat was a lovely surprise. Thank you for always being authentically you. Merry Christmas to you, Robbert, and your family.
I love all of your hand kept notes for your D&D campaigns!! We’ve had to move to completely online format and while convenient, it just isn’t the same!
How fun! I have the same winter village lithophane candle holder (24:28). I purchased it here in the United States at a little Scandinavian shop my Swedish grandmother introduced me to.
Lucy, I loved this Vlogmas. Struggling with post-op cardiac bypass surgery and I have not much else to do but sit and rest for now. I entertain myself watching TH-cam. When I saw your post I just new that it would lift my spirits as always. I love the lights in your window, your tree is beautiful and such a great space saving idea. I have searched for your banana bread recipe to no avail and I have missed seeing Robbert in your videos so it was so nice to see him. Merry Christmas Lucy and Robbert. Enjoy the season. BTW, your sauerkraut recipe looks like it is a lot of work for you.
I love the natural way you live, and your jeans and sweater you wear are great for daily life during winter. I hope you enjoy the period before Christmas days and that you are grateful for modern facilities. Live in the moment more this period.
Your videos are always so enjoyable. From the title, I thought you all got a cat. Did you ever think of getting a Poodle? You know what they say: Once you go Poodle you never go back.
I grew on that cream cheese, it was called "Queru" that sounds almost like like "quero" that means "I want" in portuguese. And now you made me sing slogans from the 80's 🙄" Queru com pão, Queru é bom!" That can be translated to "I want it with bread, Queru is good!" The litle boxes were very good too, they would go every party table with individual doses of gelatin. At some point it vanished from the store shelves and came back years lates on disposable boxes and without the "Q" on it's name.
The apartment looks amazing! Loving all the holiday lights; I leave mine up way too long, but they are inside so no one knows. I live alone. 😅 Looks like the banana bread was a hit! This week I will be making cookies, let's hope a few make it into the tin. xoxo's Sandie
Haha, your banana bread recipe looks very similar to the one I use, with the exception of mine uses margarine instead of oil! Mine came from a bread maker machine that I no longer have, I still use the recipe book that came with it though! Would love to see your sauerkraut recipe, my mom tried making some this year but it went fuzzy on her... Love the Ratty portrait
2 requests. Where are the lights on your tree from? Never seen ones like that before and I love them!! Also where is your red lipstick from and would you recommend it? I feel the search for the perfect red lip is never ending 😉
I liked seeing you make your sauerkraut, we used to make it, but in a very large crock, do you have a recipe for such a small batch, also the rock you used to keep it down, where did you get it?
Yeah I don't like the chapter-per-perspective either... In the Game of Thrones+ I always 'secretly' searched for the next chapter by the person to continue reading, and hopped around a LOT. I could handle 3-5 different perspectives easily, but that style of dozens of people really is not enjoyable. BUT Wheel of Time has many many people too, and somehow it flows a lot better for me (I did search some favorite characters out of order)... I think because most of the perspective charas are 'nice'. If I recall 'bad' char perspectives are much shorter and not shoved in regularly throughout the whole book or series.
I still ride my bike everywhere, I just stopped taking public transit :) Everything I used to do by bike, I still do by bike! Unless the weather is terrible ;) The car is for longer distances that I used to travel by train or tram
Lovely vlog Lucy! And we have the same tree I think, yay Bol! I wanted to ask if you have a good reads account? I love to keep track of my books there and to peek at what everyone's reading to further extend my tbr list hehe
I really like these long cozy vlogs. For your book problem - what if you picked your favorite character & read only their chapters, from beginning to end. Then pick a different character and do the same, etc. until you've read each character's storyline?
Yeah I've considered that, but the timeline is chronological throughout the book so they reference things that happened in other character's chapters 😭
Would you ever do DnD content? I've only played for a few years but feel like such a novice still - lockdowns haven't helped with interrupting play of course!
Important WoT question! Did you only watch the first episode? It's the weakest of the bunch, and Amazon released episode 2 AND 3 at the same time as 1, and those don't suffer from the same pacing issues episode 1 did. The episodes just get better and better! Most people seem to get into it by episode 3, so if you didn't watch up to that, I recommend doing so! The first episode was written to be 2 hours long and the showrunner wanted a 10-episode season, but Amazon insisted on 1 hour and only 8 episodes, hence the rushing. They apparently also gave the showrunner 11000 notes on just the first episode. Talk about executive meddling! Also, I don't know how much of a "book purist" you and Robbert are, but my no. 1 tip after watching weekly fan-meltdowns by the purists is to view the show as a different turning of the wheel... And also, even characters who can't lie can be mistaken, so if they say something that doesn't match with the lore it could just be that they don't know the truth...
I didn't watch beyond the first episode, but just that one was full of so many cliches you could play bingo with them. The pacing was much too fast so no chance to bond with characters before/through major events, and the CGI looked like it came from 2004 😅 Just a few of the reasons 😬 I've heard it gets better so I might give it another chance, but it didn't make a good first impression
@@Loepsie I am so sorry to hear that 😔 It is a shame that those littel guys can''t live for ever..... 🥰🥰🥰 I had Rats for a timespan of 6 years and every little one Was missed deeply! At some point i want Rats again. They are SO MUCH FUN. And also a good pet when kids are involved.
Why do people think eating vegan is better for the environment? Can someone please explain this to me? So many well educated folks seem to think that and it’s simply not true. End factory farming and shop from local farms. That’s much better than vegan, which costs a lot more for the environment, as monoculture is promoted, the biodiversity and health of the soil significantly decrease and it’s not the way humans were evolved to eat. This isn’t me judging anyone, I believe we’re all out here doing our best and trying to make smart choices, i just don’t understand how this is not widely understood.
Not really sure where this comment is coming from, but this diet has very little to do with the environment for me. I just want animals to get hurt as little as possible for my food.
"Monthly punishment for once again failing to reproduce" has to be one of the best ways I've heard to describe periods x)
I was lucky this month to miss my monthly punishment. I now have 9 months of growing a baby to enjoy! My 1st is 10 years old so this baby has been long coming lol. Happy Holidays!!!
Ooooh congratulations! 😍
Congratulations! ♥
Congratulations, you lucky thing.
Congratulations 🥰💖
Congratulations! My daughters are 11 years apart and they’re so cute together. You’ll love it!
Not me thinking you were adopting a cat and getting all hyped up... lol

I love the simple pleasures recorded in your vlogs. These videos always make me feel happy and cosy so thank you xx
I love your vlogs! They are so relaxing, for me, they are like an anti-anxiety remedy. I love your authentic!

It makes me so happy when I find out that another person I love to watch also plays DnD.
this was uploaded on the most upsetting bday I’ve had, but watching this made me feel better 🤍❄️ ty!!:)
Well those garlandy Christmas tree lights are new to me… so lovely!
I had never seen those either! It looks lovely!

Watching cozy christmas videos like this makes me really excited to fly home for the holidays
Some caraway seeds, carrots and dried cranberries make sauerkraut even tastier :)
Thank you for the notebook idea, I have just begun to play D&D.
Your dishes always look so good! I’m a terrible cook so it looks extra yummy to me 😅 also love how the kitty wanted to play D&D too
Rewatching these to get in the Christmas Mood!
I love how special you make the dinners. Tons of hugs from USA 🇺🇸 and happy holidays loepsie!!
Lovely, cozy video! I'm ill with an upper respiratory/sinus infection, and your video made me feel so peaceful and warm! Thank you. ❤😍😍
It's lovely learning your traditions
Great, cozy video!! Your banana bread turned out beautifully!
I absolutely love your Vlogmas videos. So cozy and lovely
Loved that you put a santa hat on your owl, haha.

As a huge fan of both you and D&D, I absolutely love it when you talk about your games and characters! I need a whole video dedicated to D&D!! ❤️
That advent calendar is so beautiful 😍
Your vlogs are the perfect way to relax after a long day

Thank you! I linked the recipe in an info card in the video, but here it is: loepsie.com/2018/04/chocolate-chip-walnut-banana-bread/ 😊
Hope you get well soon!
Our hostess is such a sweetie! She is always so poised and so charming, besides being one of the prettiest TH-camrs out there, IMHO.

Banana bread and kapusta ! I can't wait to make banana bread according to your recipe!

Thanks for sharing your week with us. That white domed candle cover is gorgeous, I need some.

can you share the recipe of the traditional soap you made please ?
Loved the video! I've never seen a Christmas tree where you have to put it together pic-by-pic. Im used to the ones that come in 3 big pieces.
Your walnut chocolate chip banana bread looks so tasty! Salivating. Please share recipe Happy Holidays!

Did the light hangers work? I was hoping you would show us!
Hey, you baked something well this time! Looks delicious ;)
2 requests. Where are the lights on your tree from? Never seen ones like that before and I love them!! Also where is your red lipstick from and would you recommend it? I feel the search for the perfect red lip is never ending 😉
The lights are just from my local garden center, they're called cluster lights and are pretty common over here :) The lipstick is MAC Russian Red!
Your home looks beautiful and the food you made looks delicious 😋 I really want to try your banana bread recipe.
I liked seeing you make your sauerkraut, we used to make it, but in a very large crock, do you have a recipe for such a small batch, also the rock you used to keep it down, where did you get it?
Plain sauerkraut? No caraway or juniper berries for a winter vibe?
Nope! I'm making this batch specifically for the soup and additions mess with the taste
I'm just starting to watch but your lipstick is stunning!
Oooh I need to make sauerkraut!! Do you have a recipe? 😄
Lol @ the period part hahaha

Great video.
Your apron is so cute! Where did you get it?
Thank you! I'm afraid I don't remember where it's from, I've had it for years. Some Dutch shop, most likely 😅
I also didn't really like Wheel of Time! (the first episode, at least, didn't watch further) glad I'm not the only one!
The first episode was rough, but it got better. Recommend trying another episode before making up your mind.
❤️
♥️♥️♥️♥️
Enjoyed this one. Miss Matti on TH-cam just did a great video on corduroy. Check it out. It was great.
I didn’t like “Wheel of Time” either. I watched the first few episodes and couldn’t go on.

Oh I really enjoyed wheel of time, but the first episode wasn't as good I think. I feel it took 2 or 3 episodes to get hooked.
What happened to the rats?
They passed away this year. I adressed it in episode #1 :)
