My lp(a) level is 644.8mg. I just got diagnosed yesterday. I’m 30 years old, my father passed away due to a heart attack last year when he was 55 years old. I’m a personal trainer, I eat healthy, exercise, I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. It feels really hard knowing my number is really hard but at the same time I’m not gonna stop living my life and try my best to prevent by having a good diet and exercise. Thanks for the video!
Thank you Dr. Brewer for your excellent presentations. I have a lp(a) in the 70s and I’m 60 years old. I have a history of family heart disease. My standard lipid number were all good. My doctor immediately sent me for a calc score test. It came back zero. I have been a life long athlete and eat pretty close to a plant based diet. My point is lp (a) is not a death sentence and you can do something about it. Thank you again.

I'm a 64 year old woman with no cardiac problems in my history but an Lp a of 239.9 nmol/l. Low inflammation markers, low BP, low resting insulin, blood glucose and triglycerides , good HDL. Just found out about 30 minutes ago that my Lipo a is at 170. Maybe that's why my inflammation was off the charts earlier this year (and probably still is) which led to five stents put in my heart due to a CACS of 721. @@shwethasankarr careful because while statins decrease LDL, they increase Lp(a) plasma levels. Might explain your increase.
I have read that niacin is good to lower Lp(a). I believe that a vit B complex covers so many different areas.

There is no treatment except a sort of dialysis. No drugs are available.

In short control your metabolic health, you should do fine and may even live longer than average population !
There is no way to manage Lp(a). No physician should suggest otherwise.
