I think that there may be glitches when it releases just because of the sheer size of the game, but I hope they can trust the community to point out issues so they can fix them in patches and updates after release
for the droid scene, the new game is meant to show more "dismemberment" as if you're playing with the toys irl for the x-wing, we're speculating over at the lego star wars discord that it could be an npc or second player. NPC due to the fact that you're going to be seeing some partols and npc ships like x wings, ties, vulture droids, etc that you're going to fight or smth
I think that they turned off the A.I for the droids and stormtroopers so they can get good shots and for the x-wing it is probably a npc or a random event
Maybe the droids putting away their weapons and still fighting is a cheat code or thing you can buy & turn on that disarms characters. Maybe the Stormtrooper thing is for comic effect. And that's X-Wing could be 2 player thing or NPC thing.,
Most of the characters are based off of the LEGO set designs, and if im not wrong, LEGO used the prequel design for the original trilogy because they look similar
On the bright side!! If there are actually glitches then we know this is truly gameplay footage. It's not prerendered. It's not very carefully handcrafted set pieces. It is the state of the engine at this specific time. I really commend them for that!
Those droids are probably one of the older models programmed by a central computer. Not the other ones because they are independent thinkers. *Roger, Roger!*
As a game developer, most of these glitches look like small things that they haven't gotten to yet. As it is a big game they have tons of stuff to focus on so things like debris not being randomly rotated on the ground aren't a concern in the development phase. The only major bug here is the AI putting away their guns, however, it really seems like a thing they added to get some nice visuals for the trailer as very few pay attention to it. Edit: Looking at it closer my AI theory seems more true, it looks like the developers just reversed when the gun appears, this is because when the clips start, the AI is in a neutral stance, but after putting the gun on their back they start pretending that they are holding a gun. It is very obviously intentional in my eyes.
I'd like to specfically address, the lack of rotation in the debris is likely just that it's yet to be implimented, as is the rotation in animation of the background ships. The Sudden x-wing is likely the co-op players x-wing being loaded in even if they aren't in co-op. This is extremely common and such a tiny and hard to spot thing that it's unlikely to be hidden due to the potential to end up creating other glitches such as the co-op ship not loading in at all when in use. A lot of games have these kinds of 'glitches'
For droids, we can see at 5:29 that the right droid posed his hands as if he were holding his blaster. We can see him better around 5:38, where we literally see his blaster appearing in his hand. Which confirms that it is a glitch.
5:54 not only are they just filled in, but the those are Phase I clones, should be Phase II but these fill-ins are probably just for the trailer Filling in the background is probably one of the last steps of development (that would explain the janky Geonosis)
Wondering if anyone else would bring up the p1 clones But I wonder if they're going to use 2020 style clones like 501st battlepack or the older phase 2 clones
There’s also a similar issue with the Clones in the cutscene where Palpatine saves Vader from the fire, in that they are regular Phase 2 Troopers when they should actually be Phase 2 Shock Troopers. Hopefully this will also be fixed.
I am a gamedeveloper, and he is right, filler is last, so they are close to being done, and I have helped em with a little bit of the game, its very close to being done, thats why people are leaving TT, its so gonna be 2022, if not earlier

@@oddjobplayzps4314 I meant that it was trying to take money too much. They released 30 dlc and they locked content behind large paywalls. Basically they pulled an ea with it.
I’m really looking forward to this game. We’ve all waited so many years since the last Lego game, I can certainly wait longer if that means we get an amazing game. Awesome video, dude! May the Force be with you.
As an indie game developer it is pretty normal to have glitches in trailers especially when the game is in an early beta /alpha state just give the devs times to polish the game and it will be well worth it to have a polished game with not a lot of bugs on release
Has anyone else noticed whenever someone shoots someone with a blaster character twice in a row the second hit doesn’t appear to register? Like Leia on the death star, she shoots a stormtrooper and he appears to clutch his foot, and when she shoots him again the shot doesn’t seem to hit him.
In the trailer when Leia shoots at a stormtrooper with one leg, you can see he suddenly gets his leg back for a spilt second, and then doesn’t take any damage from the next blaster shot he takes
4:30 Droid: hey, you said we're be safe back here. Droid 2: come on. There's six of us and only one of him. Droid 3: it won't matter. (Puts blaster away as he destroys all of them)
This all makes sense, and given the scale of this game, the pandemic, and the fact that a lot of top devs are leaves TT Games at a record clip, I can only assume that barring some insanity, TT Games is going to be forced to release this game in spring of 2022 no matter what, and that probably means that there are still going to be a lot of bugs in the game. That I can tolerate though, so long as TT Games is aware of this fact and is receptive to fan feedback and fans pointing out all the bugs they see and they try to fix them in a relatively normal amount of time. Given that, I'm cool. If TT Games drops a bug-ridden game on us though and doesn't address the bugs, then that'll be a huge issue, especially considering how long this game has been in development and how it's probably their biggest and most important LEGO game ever.
Has anybody ever thought that the random floating X-wing could just be the player two of the game? That doesn't seem like a glitch, it's just the ship that player two would control if they joined the game.
like in your gameplay video stormtroopers/enemies put away their blaster when you get close so they can punch you. I think what happened to Larry the stormtrooper was that you got close enough to signal him to put away his blaster, as the player moved along and got far away enough to the point where Larry needed his blaster so he pulled it out again. I think it was just quick so it looked like he was about to put the blaster away and realised he needed it again. With the droids I don't think they can punch yet so they got a bit confused or a similar thing happened as it did to Larry so they got confused and couldn't make the decision, Droid: Blaster or No Blaster? Also Droid: Can I pick both? Game: No Droid: Lets Try. Shall we?
Bugs in trailers don't really represent the current state of the game, typically studios do milestones in which they provide a working ish build to the publisher. These builds are then normally sent to marketing to do what ever they want for the promotion material. So the build used in the trailer could be anywhere months out of date, or they are using the bleeding edge version... Which typical gets broken every other day in active development.
The enemies putting guns away could be them trying to switch to melee mode. Also I would rather have " hazier" background if it means crisper and more detailed player models. The haze also provides more atmosphere and a subtle weather effect.
The droid on the middle right actually puts away his blaster, and then holds out his hands as if he is still holding it and about to fire as he walks towards qui gon. Bugs like that would make the game just purely disappointing and ruin the immersion.
I hope its 300 playable different characters not like they'll be 10 different Luke outfits so that's 10 out of the 300 already. If that makes sense. Either way it'll be the best game of 2022 for sure
I think they tried to rush things to get a trailer out but they still have time to fix it all. It will be a great game when it comes out especially for fans who have grown up playing the lego star wars games.
I think the droids may have been intentional. I remember in the clip with the Dewback the blaster fire from the trooper kind of threw off my attention from the environment. In a scene with blaster fire from several droids you wouldn’t really be able to pay attention to Qui Gon’s combos or the Naboo structures.
I don't know if this would get buried, but For the AI putting away their weapons: I would guess that the code that controls the equip/dequip animation and effect is a boolean (a variable type that is just a 1 or 0 for true/false-on/off type code) which when an enemy is placed with that toggle on, then when they go "equip" their weapon, the toggle was coded to invert instead of being set to on some psuedocode of how it MIGHT be working: equip = true; if (player is nearby){ equip = equip * (-1); } How this could be fixed: equip = true; if (player is nearby){ equip = true; } 30 in later: Actually I tested this in C++ (most games are made with C#, a slightly slower, less complex version of C++) And inverting a bool by multiplying by -1 doesn't work. I don't think it is but maybe the other X-Wing above Dagobah is a second player or they've hidden x-wings in the game and you've got to find them all. Maybe some of the other Glitches like the Stormtrooper or the droids not attacking is part of the comic humour. Or maybe thay activated one of those cheat codes or things you could purchase & when it on it disarms characters so they don't use their guns. The frame rate drop I'm not sure if it was in the Millennium Falcon scene on other trailers but people did mention it in a previous trailer
Another bug, or at least something that isn’t ready yet… in the same scene where you pointed out the Wookiee catamaran, C-3PO I seen riding an AT-RT. But when he bounces on it his hands don’t react to the movement in relation to the “steering wheel”. 3:31
The graphical changes on mustifar and the Rey and Kylo’s ship seaces were probably rendered and captured in different graphic settings in order to make the trailer smoother and higher graphics setting will have less haze and more rendering for people with higher end equipment.
6:13 Ok look, 1) This was released last year 2) They are phase 1 clone troopers 3) literally the entire point of the gameplay trailer is to show gameplay not the entire level
Me: knowing that this game is gonna be even more amazing from the new trailer and the old trailer. Bombastic: “I’m about to end this whole mans career”
4:30 Nah, this is intentional, they're putting their blasters away in surrender, attacking an unarmed combatant is a war crime, thus Qui-gon is now a war criminal (Probably not, idfk)
My thoughts on the blaster thing is they have two different props they can hold: the functional blaster that they use in combat and the decorative blaster they hold in an idle state and they have to swap between them to battle/enter an idle state. The developers are having trouble sifting through their spaghetti code commissioned by a linear-minded corporate entity that values lines written rather than problems solved to find and merge the properties of the objects. This means the game will have a very very very large file size, for what it’s worth. Either that or this is the prettiest build of the game that they have performing well and the last stage of their development is refining the A.I, which makes sense. It’s better to design an A.I. to interact and exist in an interesting and fun world than to design an A.I. and fit a world around it. Let’s not forget that they still have two months before launch for the day one patch, plus any development time between this build and the most up-to-date one (at the time of this comment) that has already been done. I hope for the second possibility. What possibilities do you guys think?
I really hope there will be a hondo onhaka side mission. Or maybe cad bane rescuing ziro the hut, as a side quest? That would be really cool in my opinion.
1. Droid was destroyed 2. It’s a flying vehicle 3. Dynamic interaction 4. Flying vehicle 5. Ok Fine that’s probably a glitch 6.Exactly just background props 7. Probably an import of an unfinished cutscene
The battle droid "glitch" may have just been a gameplay feature that, when you get close to enemies, they put away their blasters and melee attack you. Maybe this was the reason for the battle droids putting their blasters away and running towards Qui-Gon.
If you look a bit closer at the battle droids putting away their blasters, their hands come back forward and they look like they are holding and even trying to use their blasters (now on their backs).
5:55 that’s a cinematography trick, they want to have less action in the background than in the foreground so you pay more attention to the actual thing you’re trying to show.
There is a clone wars episode we’re Asoka gets captured, and anikin comes to save her, and when he dies the droids blocking the door straight up gives up
I think the blaster thing can be attributed to them potentially spawning characters that aren't actually in that position when you play the game, and so it looked like they are holding guns, they just set the visibility of the gun to "true". Some of this is probably just set dressing for the trailer - a load of games do this.
In the Qui Gon vs droids scene, you you notice the droid on the right you can see that he starts to aproach qui gon with his arms posed like he was holding his blaster
It looks like the one battle droid on the right raises their hands for Fisticuffs, but one that's stupid, and two it's the same animation for holding the blaster... in either event, it's not "point blaster at enemy."
Bombastic, could the people putting away their blasters be for difficulty reasons? Like it gives the player a momentary advantage instead of being immediately shot on sight...Also keep up the work with game news. You're my only source of info for this game. XD
Perhaps they shut off the enemy ai for whoever was playing the game for footage; so they would appear more "epic" by not taking any damage Especially if the player getting the footage isnt particularly good at the game
first clip on floating droids: they appear floating because shadows weren't enabled for objects such as this. in 3D environments shadows really sell depth and make a difference when it comes to telling if something is on the ground or not. the droid parts are on the ground but are just lacking shadows so it's a very easy fix, you can see a second example of this in the qui gon clip. also in that same qui gon clip, the blasters being put away is likely an error in a flag no being used correctly, a flag being something that checks which piece of code has been executed last. in this case it would should be something like armed = true if PlayerVisible == true: armed = true else: armed = false this stub is just a very loose example of how this would be done right also I am by no means a professional game dev, just someone studying to be one
Also while C-3PO is riding the AT-RT his character model is not properly attached to the vehicle, his hands phase through the handlebars, it kinda just looks like they stuck his character model there for the trailer without fully animating it
As a possible explanation for the weapon glitch, now that we have more information on the game, maybe there is a perk on the skill tree we saw in a later trailer that makes it to where a jedi tricks enemies as soon as they enter combat. A sort of "Jedi mind trick" if you will.
Enemies putting their weapons away and approaching the player seems to imply to me that they're reacting as if they have a melee offhand weapon to switch to. The devs wanted them to be able to put their weapons away, but maybe accidentally made them think they had melee weapons. Then again, unarmed attacks are a thing in these games so if the droids were programmed to attack, you'd think they'd at least try to punch him, but maybe battledroids don't have any melee capabilities programmed
I think the blaster bug is happening because droids are in a guard stance, and are then set to a battle stance, which makes them grab a weapon from their back, but they're already holding one, so they'll put it away instead and start fighting with air guns
I think that there may be glitches when it releases just because of the sheer size of the game, but I hope they can trust the community to point out issues so they can fix them in patches and updates after release

I prefer waiting longer than having a broken game
Also, C-3P0 on the AT-RT is glitched. He's floating up through the handlebars and back down whenever the AT-RT takes a step.
Me: knowing that this game is gonna be even more amazing from the new trailer and the old trailer.
Bombastic: “I’m about to end this whole mans career”
3:15 made my Day hahahaha
Oh my god I thought this video was uploaded today.
@@JACKHARRINGTON lol but nah. The Droid thing was them just putting their weapon away to fight hand to hand. New feature to the game btw.
I really hope there will be a hondo onhaka side mission. Or maybe cad bane rescuing ziro the hut, as a side quest? That would be really cool in my opinion.
Maybe the x wing is for a side quest and you go up to it to get the guest
Dude, its obvious that the Wookie katamaran is just drifting. Wookies are just trying to have some fun and you are saying its a glitch.
Was that a Larry the stormtrooper reference?
Awesome
4:41 “he’s just walking there, MENACINGLY!”
Did you know that this is why the Lego game was delayed? They need to fix these bugs. A Trailer doesn’t mean it’s the final version.
Hi bombastic, keep up the good work!
i love how the Droid in the right back fires with an imaginary Blaster at 5:36
Why is nobody talking about Anakin no longer being a sith in the new trailer! He doesnt have sith eyes anymore.
the thumbnail noticed
1. Droid was destroyed
2. It’s a flying vehicle
3. Dynamic interaction
4. Flying vehicle
5. Ok Fine that’s probably a glitch
6.Exactly just background props
7. Probably an import of an unfinished cutscene
The battle droid "glitch" may have just been a gameplay feature that, when you get close to enemies, they put away their blasters and melee attack you. Maybe this was the reason for the battle droids putting their blasters away and running towards Qui-Gon.
I can’t wait for this game lol
If you look a bit closer at the battle droids putting away their blasters, their hands come back forward and they look like they are holding and even trying to use their blasters (now on their backs).
Maybe thats the reason for first releasing in spring 22
Larry before the "take your daughter with to work" day
At least they're trying, we are looking at you cyber punk
Of course, Cyberpunk was delayed multiple times because they weren't trying, that definitely makes sense!
Well at least we know why this game got delayed again probably they are only fixing some bugs and glitches and the game is almost finished.
The force attack on dooku looks weird as well, doesn't move but hits him from behind, explodes forwards and makes him fall backwards
Bombastic, could the people putting away their blasters be for difficulty reasons? Like it gives the player a momentary advantage instead of being immediately shot on sight...Also keep up the work with game news. You're my only source of info for this game. XD
Perhaps they shut off the enemy ai for whoever was playing the game for footage; so they would appear more "epic" by not taking any damage
Especially if the player getting the footage isnt particularly good at the game
At least they won't release a broken game like cyberpunk 2077
4:50 yare yare
There are texture glitches too. Lando's shirt goes bonkers
Yes i fully agree they are trying to fix the game behind the scenes hense the long delay
first clip on floating droids: they appear floating because shadows weren't enabled for objects such as this.
in 3D environments shadows really sell depth and make a difference when it comes to telling if something is on the ground or not.
the droid parts are on the ground but are just lacking shadows so it's a very easy fix, you can see a second example of this in the qui gon clip.
also in that same qui gon clip, the blasters being put away is likely an error in a flag no being used correctly, a flag being something that checks which piece of code has been executed last.
in this case it would should be something like
armed = true
if PlayerVisible == true:
armed = true
else:
armed = false
this stub is just a very loose example of how this would be done right
also I am by no means a professional game dev, just someone studying to be one
Devs leaving before we have news, thinking the game might be out soon: 🙂
New trailer releases with a delay and multiple bugs noticeable: *o no*
Also while C-3PO is riding the AT-RT his character model is not properly attached to the vehicle, his hands phase through the handlebars, it kinda just looks like they stuck his character model there for the trailer without fully animating it
something else might be when C3-PO is on the walker in kashyyyk, his character model isn't in time with the walkers movements
As a possible explanation for the weapon glitch, now that we have more information on the game, maybe there is a perk on the skill tree we saw in a later trailer that makes it to where a jedi tricks enemies as soon as they enter combat. A sort of "Jedi mind trick" if you will.
The Qui-Gon one might be a mind trick…although, I’m not sure they work on droids
They still haven't granted me the rank of Master. There, I told you.
If there's anything I learned from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, it would be these sacred words...
"Gameplay footage not final"
i dead when he said, THEY REMOVED THERE BRAINS
5:30
Enemies putting their weapons away and approaching the player seems to imply to me that they're reacting as if they have a melee offhand weapon to switch to. The devs wanted them to be able to put their weapons away, but maybe accidentally made them think they had melee weapons. Then again, unarmed attacks are a thing in these games so if the droids were programmed to attack, you'd think they'd at least try to punch him, but maybe battledroids don't have any melee capabilities programmed
I do NOT want a lego Cyberpunk, let them fix this shit take as long as they need to fix this.
I think the blaster bug is happening because droids are in a guard stance, and are then set to a battle stance, which makes them grab a weapon from their back, but they're already holding one, so they'll put it away instead and start fighting with air guns
