I haven't played a lego star wars game in ages, let alone a lego game. Considering all the crap AAA titles that came out this past year, the skywalker saga seems like it will actually commit to its promises
Even if you don't like lego you have to admit that this sets the bar higher for future star wars games. A fallen order sequel with 36 planets and free travel between them? Or maybe star wars eclipse will have something similar aswell Edit: imagine getting to fly the mantis on fallen order 2, that would be pretty cool
Something that I noticed in the character selection menu 11:08 is that there are small white dots under certain characters, I think does might be character variants like for example the B1 Battle Droid could have different appearances like a Geonosis B1
Yes there's also categories that you can chose from if you wanna quickly chose a specific character instead of scrolling through to the one you need For example if you wanna chose count dooku then you can go to the dark side character tab which is red like the background for count dooku
@@arielaaroncohen Well Episode 1 Anakin is a Little character just like Jawas or Ewoks. Ep 2 Anakin only has one style technically, while Ep 3 Anakin could have a couple of new styles like a Jedi one, a Sith style with the hello eyes or even a hooded version like in the march of the Jedi temple

I find that generally most fps games are focused on some level of realism and mechanics so them falling over is more important than grasping there chest or reaching out to you as they die, but yeah it would be cool to see other games incorporate more dramatic animations and expressions in stuff other than cutscenes for main characters especially if its a game that doesn't take itself too seriously ^_^
I really like the mumble mod and i hope we can get the bad batch or the clone wars dlc it will be cool imo and i hope the secert characters from the complete saga back like Indiana jones

Also has anybody noticed that there are two completely different Star Destroyer models in TCS?
Honestly as cool as having other troops follow you or being able to have pets, I think that’s just another player’s character when they’re ‘dropped out’ or when you aren’t using that character. I hope not tho
A thing I find so so so charming is that the characters sometimes are dirty. Look at R2 at 7:09, the difference in cloaks at 7:36 and 7:43, and the stormtroopers at 10:35! I love it!
But if you compare their feet, you can see that one of them have their feet more dirty. But the sand over their armor probably is just some detail that they have
I wonder if Coruscant will be all imperial during the original trilogy film gameplay. It would be ace seeing the difference between normal coruscant in the 2000s films and then an imperial one which wasn’t really shown in the original films.
On the record: R2-D2 has always been able to pseudo-defend himself. He had a little electrocutor thing in at the very least the Complete Saga. Though he couldn't kill enemies with it so that's new. Also, being able to open up the full character menu anywhere during free play has been a thing in Lego Games since Lego Batman 2. Lego DC Supervillains even let you do it before you completed the game (in the open world, obviously. You weren't allowed to open up the full character menu in the story mode versions of the actual levels).

Detail 51. When you attack a living creature in Star Wars, the AI is given a health bar over their head. BUT, when you attack droids, there is no health bar, because droids have no hearts. That is insane!

One easter egg I found interesting was when Finn was using Lukes lightsaber it switches between blue, yellow and green. Which are all colors of lightsabers Luke has used through out the series.

In the character selection menu, when the player scrolls past the clone troopers, they have various dots underneath them, some lighter than others. This probably means that you can access all types of clone troopers in one place?
Speaking of details, remember how DC Supervillains and Marvel Super Heroes 2 did character select menu, when you could see any character card and flip it to see character's abilities, first appearance, description, etc.? I hope they are gonna keep it, cause it's gonna be cool. Also, wouldn't that be hilarious if the description for the Gonk Droid was something like:"The true main character of the entire saga. Our true Lord and savior sent from above, who possesses more power then he seems to. All hail the Gonk Droid! " ?

Why is Lego able to give us everything we needed without a care in the world while BF2, Jedi Fallen Order and Squadrons keep insisting they're serious games with dreams of being stars?
They don't take themselves so seriously and love what there creating and understand who there creating it for, also seems like the execs are not down there throat 24/7 which probably helps alot! But yeah i find that alot of starwars games want to re-create the experience by being space opera's and don't focus on the wonder and free form of the starwars universe I remember when i played Starwars battlefront 2 (the original) and it was absolutely mind-blowing that i could fly to the enemy ship -Land- get out and sabotage them infiltrating the enemy's base and blowing out there lifesupport or whatever, that sort of freedom of creativity is definitely missing from the current battlefront! i think back then the only other thing i wanted to do was fly down to the planet myself no mans sky esq which this game looks like it covers pretty well (but still a starwars exploration game would be awesome) i think the only other ones that has made me feel like honestly Giddy as the lego ones was the VR games which are honestly really well done flying down to mustafar, throwing out training droids to attack people, feeling the hum of a lightsaber as you block blaster fire, or running around as IG-88 and taking down a ton of criminals is pretty sweet! and sort of rekindled my love of starwars! which makes me super hyped for This game! ^_^

weapons acctually appearing on the characters is such a neat detail i always love in games, it's so minute and unnecessary but i still love it cause it just gives a bit of extra depth
I was 6 when Lego Star Wars the complete saga came out, and that game was such a big part of my childhood. Thinking that kids now are going to grow up with a Star Wars game that has 22 different planets to discover is so cool as I would have loved this game! But I’m still going to love it!
Wow, a surprisingly small number of planets from Revenge of the Sith. No Mygeeto, Felucia, Saleucami, or Cato Naimoidia. Also no sign of Jedha, Scarif, Kessel or Corellia, so it seems unlikely that Rogue One or Solo will be included, unless they get added later.
I think its becuase those ones were not as important to the main story (even though i loved them in other games and shows) See the problem is that rogue, solo and Mandalorian etc already have character packs confirmed so i doubt we will get actual story dlc+planets unfortunately, which is a shame cuz i want to make friends with the Tuscan raiders and get blown up by the deathstar xD but still this will (i'm pretty sure) be the most planets in a starwars game ever (i think galaxies had like 12 and Swotor had 18, let alone ones that you can explore and some have multiple hubs like mos isly and mos espa. But it does certainly raise the bar for exploration in starwars games for the future, i'm sort of sad in away about lego games though because there isn't that many expansive universes like Starwars to just replicate, even bigger IP's that they have deals with like Dc and Marvel only happen in a few worlds but mainly earth but i could spend ages just wondering a galaxy of possibility xD (not saying if they made a game based on all marvel movies it wouldn't be rad or filled with different environments just that theres not many Ip's that they could use to pull off this level of game again for quite awhile) Sorry rant over xD

A detail that I see no one talking about is the dirt and snow on the figures when their in different environments. That's such great attention to detail.
51. For anyone who doesn't know go back and look at the shot of R2-D2 and C-3P0 on the escape pod looking at the star destoryer. Now this might just be a placeholder, but if you look at the bow of the ship then you can see a very unique detail you might not have noticed before. Hope this starts to peak your curiosity! It definitely did for me!
One idea I had is what if Yoda can ride on the back of any character-just jump on them and you take control of them with a mind trick or something? I think that'd be pretty cool!
One thing you might have missed is that speeder on Coruscant is firing blaster bolts. That was just a hot rod, did Anakin add them on while Obi-Wan was flying around on the droid? So uncivilized.
I noticed in another trailer that the millennium falcon tilts while it was flying straight shooting a tie fighter. I really hope it has the advanced flying controls from battle front 2 that would be so fun!
I’m most excited about the free roam and ability to basically go anywhere. The complete saga, clone wars, and the force awakens game do this but on a much smaller scale. I honestly have started counting down the days since the gameplay overview 😅

At 9:12 you can see both Obi Wan and Qui Gon don’t have their cloaks on. Perhaps the cloak-less versions are considered variants?

@@Dosplo In tcs they dont help at all when you're in a fight. Yes, it looks like they shoot at the enemy, but it does no damage.
The stormtroopers being shot by the player are have more expression in animations than most FPS or just a lot of games with shooting mechanics

I loved playing Lego star wars the complete saga, seeing this and eventually being able to play it will just be enough for me.
Wow, a surprisingly small number of planets from Revenge of the Sith. No Mygeeto, Felucia, Saleucami, or Cato Naimoidia. Also no sign of Jedha, Scarif, Kessel or Corellia, so it seems unlikely that Rogue One or Solo will be included, unless they get added later.
I think its becuase those ones were not as important to the main story (even though i loved them in other games and shows)
See the problem is that rogue, solo and Mandalorian etc already have character packs confirmed so i doubt we will get actual story dlc+planets unfortunately, which is a shame cuz i want to make friends with the Tuscan raiders and get blown up by the deathstar xD but still this will (i'm pretty sure) be the most planets in a starwars game ever (i think galaxies had like 12 and Swotor had 18, let alone ones that you can explore and some have multiple hubs like mos isly and mos espa.
But it does certainly raise the bar for exploration in starwars games for the future, i'm sort of sad in away about lego games though because there isn't that many expansive universes like Starwars to just replicate, even bigger IP's that they have deals with like Dc and Marvel only happen in a few worlds but mainly earth but i could spend ages just wondering a galaxy of possibility xD (not saying if they made a game based on all marvel movies it wouldn't be rad or filled with different environments just that theres not many Ip's that they could use to pull off this level of game again for quite awhile)

People are setting the bar pretty high for this game, but honestly even if it flops or is forgotten like LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens somehow, I’m still going to play it 😁

In the battle of Naboo, it looks like the battle druids are in the same formations as in the lego star wars III the clone wars game.

A detail that I see no one talking about is the dirt and snow on the figures when their in different environments. That's such great attention to detail.
I noticed that the droid walking through the desert was actually dirty if you look at its bottom
51. For anyone who doesn't know go back and look at the shot of R2-D2 and C-3P0 on the escape pod looking at the star destoryer. Now this might just be a placeholder, but if you look at the bow of the ship then you can see a very unique detail you might not have noticed before. Hope this starts to peak your curiosity! It definitely did for me!
I've NEVER been hyped for a Lego game, but I can't wait for this!!!
One idea I had is what if Yoda can ride on the back of any character-just jump on them and you take control of them with a mind trick or something? I think that'd be pretty cool!
Considering we get big minifigs like in the dc villains game. I’m sure the rancor is going to be a playable character as well
One thing you might have missed is that speeder on Coruscant is firing blaster bolts. That was just a hot rod, did Anakin add them on while Obi-Wan was flying around on the droid? So uncivilized.

I noticed in another trailer that the millennium falcon tilts while it was flying straight shooting a tie fighter. I really hope it has the advanced flying controls from battle front 2 that would be so fun!

This game opens the gates to so many high quality lego games from different genres
I believe that caution sign serves mainly as a callback to Bombad Bounty animated short film, which was released by Lego back in 2010.
I’m most excited about the free roam and ability to basically go anywhere. The complete saga, clone wars, and the force awakens game do this but on a much smaller scale. I honestly have started counting down the days since the gameplay overview 😅
