my refrigerator is making a loud screeching noise. i opened the back cover and its coming from the condenser fan. think its going bad. it there a way to make it stop making that noise? i ordered the part already but as a temporary solution so i dont have to disconnect it while i wait?
Can anyone answer a question? The condenser is spinning the fan, but the little metal "spike" the fan attaches to moves all around so the fan wobbles and hits. Can I repair the condenser or have to replace?
Yes, I had the same problem. You need to replace the motor as I believe it's the bearings inside the motor are no good and is now loose. I replaced motor , works perfectly
hello I have a particular problem with my Amana side by side fridge. The evaporator cools well and frosts fast once turned on. But the evaporator FAN does NOT work. I noticed that the cable that supplies the evap fan is connected to the defrost thermostat. Once I bypassed this connection ( took off the defrost thermostat and connected the cables to the fan ) then the fan runs continuously. Does this mean, that the thermostat is bad??? or is there another part I am not seeing here. Thanks for any ideas.
Ya know that is one mighty clean section of the fridge. Ya I know this is a demonstration. And it is good info for normies to look at.
Might be smart to plug and test if fan blade works after replacing it before replacing the rear access panel...

My fan moves freely by hand , But won't come on when connected to the electric outlet.....What to do ?

This fan motor somtimes coms with 3 wire, what is the 3rd wire for?
for a capacitor, sometimes the motor comes with one. if not, read the motor's data tag for a MFD rating and get the proper capacitor for it.
