50 updates so far in 2024 ? Great, it seems like we will get all the features we had in CS GO back in the next 2-3 years after around 573 more updates. The future is bright!

I never really had thought CS2 would have a bottling problem because of how Valve treated CS2 compared to TF2 and CS2 has extra security features. Seeing the botting problem in CS2 is sad to see. I am willing to team up with the CS2 community to make Valve do their “treadmill work”. I will sign any petition that is out there and post about it when I can.
Also, it’s a great idea to stop buying cases or whatever in CS2 entirely because valve will definitely notice something is up and that their infinite money generator isn’t working.
Valve would port TF to Source 2, but it would be TF3 and you know how it is with Valve and 3.

I think at this point it’s safe to say CS2 was released possibly years too early. And I don’t think valve fully understood how broken the game was when they released it and removed CS:GO, cos I loved playing CS:GO and at this point I don’t even enjoy playing CS2.

Every other company would fix their anticheat in that case, it just shows how greedy valve is and that they don’t care about their playerbase.
The game has guns people spend their money on for thousands, gamba cases, colored gloves, and stickers with some of the cringiest things spelled out.. and here you are complaining about keychains.Sad.

I'm all up for teaming up with the CS2 community. But we have to hit them where it hurts (we already started doing so) - buying. The less money you spend in the market/in-game purchases, the more it'll hurt them. And trust me, they can't ignore that.

I've always had it in my mind that this whole "FIXTF2" thing should have been called FIXVAC since it's not only TF2 that's going through this problem and both games are having the "same" anti-cheat problem
Something for all to consider. Valve's upcoming game, Deadlock, will be using the exact same build of VAC that both TF2 and CS2 are using. Now, look at the state these two older games are in. That will be Deadlock from the first hour of going live, all because Valve doesn't want to do "treadmill work". Sometimes, to get someone to listen, a mere tap on the shoulder won't work. Sometimes, breaking their knees with a baseball bat is needed. Valve is the type of dense motherfuckers who will only listen when shown pain.
This only really works if a high majority of players stop playing or at the very least stop opening cases. It's past time we started treating Valve like the corporation they are.
If they add cosmetics, I'm telling you, the game will be even more broken.

The problem with actual clothing in cs2 would be it might strive too far from the look of the game which has been happening with many recent tf2 hats.
i highly doubt we could get enough players to boycott cases, and i’m starting to lose hope on us getting an operation again.
Side note, I think "operation counter fortress" rolls off the tounge a little better. But maybe that's just me

I just want ta play csgo again.. I mean if I could choose between all the new features or normal (at least what most people feel is normal, i.e. Other games) shooting mechanics (especially with the AWP) it's a no brainer
at this point, I wouldnt even care if a new anti cheat would be intrusive af, as long as I can enjoy grinding premier.
Since trust factor I’ve gained lots of elo. Barely any cheaters. I went two days in a row no cheaters. I’m 25k rating now. Been playing with a lvl 10 faceit stack and we are having lots of fun. Also they literally can’t make an intrusive anti cheat, it’s too late . Would have to completely shut down steam to do so. And it would take years to make the anti actually good. They would be years behind if they made an intrusive anti cheat. And people would have to resign a terms of service again. It would do very little and would take a shit ton of effort. Cs2 in a weird spot with cheating. Valorant has tons of cheaters but everyone rather think they’re facing a Smurf than a cheater.

How about instead of operations, just make all operation maps from before permanent damn maps for the game, in their own matchmaking group or something, I don't know. Personally I've never liked the cyclic nature of maps coming in and maps being removed. It's annoying, I just want more maps permanently. They would have to upgrade those maps for the new engine first though .. Or set up a kind of matchmaking system that picks maps from the workshop based on ratings.

Please for the life of everything holy valve DO NOT ADD CUSTOM SKINS. We don't need an all pink agent jumping around or even worse, when a sweaty try hard matches the map colours so they just blend in to anything and everything. CoD has this and its disgusting

i agree with the petition for tf2, but for cs2 valve has been pumping out updates lately. They might be small for the most part, but that's just game dev. This shit is hard especially when working with a new engine.

I like tf2 but i dont get why someone that only plays cs2 would care, vac live (or whatevere it is called) is work in progress since we already seen it but it was banning players with high dpi, and anniversary update is probably comming soon
you just explained it, valve is not taking cheating seriously in CS2 and it's unplayable unless you play 3rd party sites.
CS2 is already a year old - They have had time to develop vac live if they actually cared.
Valve has failed miserably for both games and this is easily the best way to get their attention and FORCE Valve to take action and I support Operation Team Strike

This might be the best shot either of our communities have. As a TF2 player, I support this campaign completely, but remember, this is only gonna work if we all agree to a full on boycott of these games, and Valve products entirely. You have to make a statement by denying them even a penny of your money, and tarnish their company reputation for everyone to see.
