    Just the clips you showed alone of the Anderson/Renegade match prove Arn was one of the greatest ever. Those f*** ups were so blatant, and Arn managed to make most of them somehow work out. Arn is one of the most underrated wrestlers and talkers of all time. He was one of my favorites growing up, and doesn't get the credit he deserves. It's a shame to see such an incredible performer get put in a match with such a train wreck, but the fact that it worked even a little is a credit to Anderson's greatness.

    Pit bull Pitman is one the first WCW wrestlers I ever saw. He was a lot different from what I saw in WWF at the time. Living in CT in the early 90s, I had no idea what WCW was. We moved to Florida when I was 10 and that’s when I saw my first WCW show. I instantly fell in love and one year later we were at Bash at the Beach 96 and the rest is history.

    Great American Bash was replaced in 1993 by Beach Blast. The July PPV in 1994 was named Bash at the Beach, combining the two names. WCW never reduced the number of PPVs each year, so it wasn't cost-cutting. Turner's edict seems to be the better explanation, with the July PPV being renamed in 93, and the Bash name being brought back in 94.

    Quick question.. Why was Stevie Ray wearing a black shirt with his wrestling gimmick? Did he have some sort of scar, burn or cut on his body he was trying to conceal? Or was it just one of those random things that just only happens in wrestling...

    I'd be interested in seeing a top military gimmicks list or a retrospective of military gimmicks in general (no pun intended). Would be good for Veterans Day. Obviously you'd be biased towards your trainer. ;)
    Sgt Slaughter, Corporal Kirchner, Sgt Craig Pittman, Ranger Ross, MIA, Sgt Buddy Lee Parker, Colonel DeBeers, Truth Commission, The Commandos etc. Who am I missing?

    • @Cobralalalala
      @Cobralalalala 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jim Nelson (later Boris Zhukov) and Don Kernodle when they were teaming with Slaughter adopted the military gimmick, same as when Adnan and Iron Shirk were with him later. I know there are more, but I'm drawing a blank.
      Either way, Slaughter is far and away the best, but it would be interesting to see how he ranks the rest.

    I know it’s already been mentioned, but it needs to be mention again. Hogan vs Beefcake was Starrcade 1994, NOT 1995. Which FYI, that Starrcade has a better PPV buy rate than the Starcade before it, which was headlined with Ric Flair vs Vader and the one you mentioned incorrectly.
