the leather covered version is similar to how i made a map case, and one i lined in fur for my rosewood flute. at some point in time i found fishing pole cases like these, and smiled as it reminded me of my grandpa. he made these when i was a boy. off topic Clay: i came up with my take on the cane/boo arrows. i take a milwaukee drill bit the kind with a octagon shank, and hand twist the pith core approx 1/2". i then take a boo skewer, and sand it to fit snug but not split it. superglue in the plug. you now have a solid pc of boo to taper, or notch.
