Get the biggest center channel you can afford and then build around that if ur into movies. So nice being able to hear everything they say even quiet volumes.
I got these exact same Klipsch speakers and they are fantastic! The sound is clean and crisp. Had two extra Yamaha speakers for my height/Atmos combined with a Denon 7.2 AVR all under a thousand. Makes watching Atmos movies very enjoyable. Great vlog!
I can't believe all that is under $1000 USD. In Australia the Quintet 5.1 is $1500 alone, the bookshelves are about $400-$500 and the receiver is $800. That's about $2700 AUD ($2000 USD). You guys are lucky how this stuff is so affordable..
Their base is 8inch 800w wireless..ours is 10inch 1000w wired... much better Also with exchange rate, it's not too far off.. it you're right...much cheaper there at the end of the day
Great job! This is what 90% of the people really need. Even if you have a house, that system is plenty loud enough. You might consider bass shakers for your sofa since you have close neighbors. 😉
I just bought and set this up only difference is I used two Micca MB42X as my fronts and the Sony 790 5.1.2 receiver. My living room is pretty big so I thought it might not be enough but this set is no joke. I have the sub set at about 10 o’clock so not even half volume but on my receiver I had to turn it down to -1 or it would blow out the windows. My installer was absolutely amazed at the sound this little system put out. It is like watching every movie you own at the theater. Highly recommend. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Front heights sound like they are coming from in front of you, what you ideally want is speakers right above your seating position, so that overhead sounds like rain or helicopters sound like its right above you.
Try moving that sub where it's farthest away from your neighbor. I live in a corner apartment on the bottom floor. I put mine in the corner. Same layout above me. So bedrooms are on opposite sides. I went to my neighbor and asked him to listen while I adjusted settings and volume. He told me when he could hear it. Actually perfect for my needs. Polk audio signature series 12 inch 250w rms. Two towers with tweeter and 2 6.5 inch subs. Center with with 4 5 inch speakers and two rear bookshelf speakers with two 6.5 inch subs and theaters. Powering all this is a 5.2 channel Denon reciever. Sounds amazing. Looking at my samsung au8000 82 inch tv. Best budget setup I could buy.
I just purchased this same set of speakers from Klipsch for my family room, to be connected to my existing Onkyo DTR 5.5 receiver. I've always only used my Bose AM5 which has served us well, they still work fantastic but it was time to buy a better system. I know your setup, knowing I can built upon the set as long as I have a better receiver is good news. Well done on the review, I'm looking forward to hooking up my system later in the week.
Holy shit. Someone who actually knows what atmos does and is and executed it correctly. Good job bro. I just watched 3 separate videos where someone said the atmos sounds great and it was a soundbar or they had not one speaker playing sounds from above. U did good also getting that setup and having atmos without spending a butt load. I’m in an apartment also and decided to just go over kill and my neighbors and thier neighbors on the other side of them hate my guts lol. I should have gone the route you did but didn’t think it was possible when I started buying and building mine.
Thank youu bro 🙌🏼.. you have no idea you solved my 2 month quest to getting a good atmos speaker for my apartment. Best part was everything that you shared was relatable to me , including playing the call of duty game :p All you shared here was pretty much all I needed. Also i was going to spend about $3000 but you saved me ! Thanks again 🥂
Thank you, thank you and thank you! I’m about to pull a trigger or a little system for my apartment living room, about the same size as your room, and I was debating back and forth between the 5.1 system and the cinema experience (Costco exclusive) but you did what I been trying to do in my head. Bless you 🙏💪
I just subscribed to your channel because I liked what you did making your own version of Dolby Atmos by using the original speakers that came with it & hanging them above your window 😂👍🏿 I just ordered the Dolby Atmos version of your set up yesterday so I’m pumped to hear how they sound 😱😱😱 Dope video as well 👍🏿
My 4 satellite speakers are as close to silent as one can get...'got geek squad coming over today and see what's up with that. Any thoughts out there? Woof works great!
great video! i also have the sony str 790 and klipsch 5.1 and i love it! i want to buy new front speakers so i can use dolby atmos in my movies as you did what your opinion about the r-41m compare to one of the 5.1 system? is the r-41m proudce better sound? Thanks!
How do you run the wires to the satellite speakers? They look nice on the stand but I’m not sure how I would be able to get wires running to the back of my room without them being exposed
Hi there! This review is great, so detailed. Please help me compare this system with samsung q950A soundbar, is this system better? And one more question: can I use yamaha rx v6a instead of sony receiver? Thank you for your reply
Great video! Is there any way you could do a video on how to set up this system? I’m thinking of buying the exact same setup and I’m not sure how to put it all together. Thanks!
I described that in the set up video, but I didn't show it since there are already so many videos about that on TH-cam. You basically strip the end of the wire and put it in the hole for that port.
What do you think about Polk Audio OWM3 ? 5 speaker with sub ,,, does the sound will be better than klipsch reference pack ? Because Polk Audio OWM3 have bigger speakers size
Hey buddy! Nice setup! I also want to put a home theater in my apartment. I allready have the klipsch quintet V, the klipsch rs-10 subwoofer and the yamaha a-v6a receiver. If I add the R-41M, will I be able to get the atmos experience? Also, whats the size of the room you put the home theater in? My is 8ft x 8ft (really small I know)
There is a how to set up video coming soon. The receiver is 7.2, the Klipsch reference theatre pack was a 5.1 system. Check the links bio for each component including the wire. hope this helps and thank you for watching!
I got an extra 2 Bose 201 series V speakers , and I will pretend to do the same as you did : to put those Bose 201 series V bigger speakers as FRONT spealers, and save the other 2 KLiptsch that came with the Reference 5.1 pack for the roof . Will it be OK ?? - Someone answer to help me , please. thanks
Ah good question! We are making a video about how to set up and install it coming soon! But to answer your question now, we ran them under our rug, and the ceiling mounted cables we ran in the window behind the curtains, so if we ever need to change it fix anything, it’s super easy
It's hard to convey the sounds they TH-cam since you'll be playing it through your speakers. I can try to show the sound by moving a distance away. I'll make another video and try that.
@@teamjustduet u gonna think I’m lying but because of your video I went on marketplace and got the Sony str dh790 receiver for 75 bucks and also pick up the klipsch home reference theater pack u got for 270 to the front door…just waiting on my klipsch r41m speakers to show This setup rocks U don’t need to make another video I’m a believer lol Thanks again
Awesome! I'm glad to hear it! Let us know how it is once you set it up! Feel free to share the video on Instagram and let everyone know how much you love your new set up!

This is awesome. That’s completely a reasonable price for basically maximizing the immersion of an entire sense

Blu tack under the feet of the subwoofers might help to decouple the noise from the neighbours.

Yeah! We havent been to the theatre since, and all the friends want to come over for movie night lol
I read a few forums that mentioned that front heights are better than rear heights.
Front heights sound like they are coming from in front of you, what you ideally want is speakers right above your seating position, so that overhead sounds like rain or helicopters sound like its right above you.

Nice and rational choice well done
My 4 satellite speakers are as close to silent as one can get...'got geek squad coming over today and see what's up with that. Any thoughts out there? Woof works great!
Depends on your receiver and whether or not it has the amp to power the speakers.
Also that series x makes atmos shine super great in games. I’m happy for you yo. Good stuff
Nice Vid. Can i use normal speakers to to Dolby Atmos just by using a reciever? Like different 2.1 speakers from different brands and combine them
It should work as long as your receiver is set up for 7.1
Theater vs cinema. Which one is better?
Do a video of how did the cabling!
The video is out now check out the how to set up atmos video
great video! i also have the sony str 790 and klipsch 5.1 and i love it! i want to buy new front speakers so i can use dolby atmos in my movies as you did what your opinion about the r-41m compare to one of the 5.1 system? is the r-41m proudce better sound? Thanks!
Those are a great speaker and would work excellent as fronts.
Yes the r-41m are great in the front, really strong clear sound!
Do you need eARC for atmos
How do you run the wires to the satellite speakers? They look nice on the stand but I’m not sure how I would be able to get wires running to the back of my room without them being exposed
My exact problem
I’m just confused on how your running so many speakers on a 5.2 channel?
Hi there! This review is great, so detailed.
Please help me compare this system with samsung q950A soundbar, is this system better? And one more question: can I use yamaha rx v6a instead of sony receiver?
Thank you for your reply
This system has 7 speakers and a sub, so it will definitely sound better than a sound bar.
What wires do I need to purchase with the system?
Great setup! I have the same receiver. Great bang for your money!
Great video! Is there any way you could do a video on how to set up this system? I’m thinking of buying the exact same setup and I’m not sure how to put it all together. Thanks!
Really I just don’t know how to setup the receiver… Is there a certain way to plug the speakers into the receiver?
I described that in the set up video, but I didn't show it since there are already so many videos about that on TH-cam. You basically strip the end of the wire and put it in the hole for that port.
What do you think about Polk Audio OWM3 ? 5 speaker with sub ,,, does the sound will be better than klipsch reference pack ? Because Polk Audio OWM3 have bigger speakers size
Im not sure, but the klipsch is much more than what I need for this space.
Hey buddy! My is 8ft x 8ft (really small I know)
Its an 11x10 room, and you just need 6 surround speakers and a sub for atmos, but you also need to make sure your receiver supports it.
Why you put both atmos speaker on same side?
so the klipsch pack does not come with wires?
It does not
@@teamjustduet thankf for letting me know
Nice video I have that same receiver and I love it.
It's amazing !
What tv do you have ?
How did you wire the 2 extra speakers to the receiver ? If it’s a 5.1 ?
There is a how to set up video coming soon. The receiver is 7.2, the Klipsch reference theatre pack was a 5.1 system. Check the links bio for each component including the wire. hope this helps and thank you for watching!

Great video, wanted to setup like this but how did you run the wires i didnt see any, my issue are the wires running through my hall...

Klipsch subwoofers are extremely bad. This is worthless in the system you have set up.
