  • Hey there SVT-4PRO owners. Do you need a mono-bridged cable? Tried checking and can't find one online? Easy. Build one.
Dino shows you just how easy it is. Just need a pair of wire cutters and a screwdriver. No soldering. No hassle.

I just purchased two Crown CE1000s that I want to run Bridged-Mono - instructions said I had to alter my Speakon cables - this video has now showed me exactly what I need to do - THANK YOU

Check your SVT-4 Pro before building your cable. The newer models are wired +1/-1 at amp end instead of the +1/+2 on older units.

A good rule of thumb is, to slide the backshell and strain relief onto the cut cable before stripping the the insulation off the red/black inner wires. This ensures you don't have to re-twist the fray. :)

The chosen nail-polish color in the video was not flattering to you, Dino, I would have went with purple. :-)
In all seriousness, I'd like to add that I purposely tin the ends of the copper wire with solder to make for a more solid contact in the connector and prevent any fraying. Additionally, I like to pre-load the locking nut + strain-relief prior to stripping the insulation.

Does the formate +1 +2 apply as universal on the amp side or does it only apply to the Ampeg SVT 4 PRO?

My Bass player just got the SVT4 Pro and the Ampeg 810 cab. He has a cable going from the middle output of the amp to the speaker on connector on the cab. It to me does not sound anywhere near what vol i think it should. He plays like on 7 for volume level and can be heard but it just seems like he should be blowing us away with this rig. I was thinking maybe his issue is that the cable is wired wrong. What say you?

I have the nl4fc but I need 1/4 inch on the other end because the cabinet doesn’t have Neutrik Ampeg pf4x10 HLF
Can I solder on a 1/4 inch or even use an adapter. Also I have to go from one 4x10 cabinet to the other 4x10 cabinet - do I need a special cable for that? That will be 1/4 inch to 1/4 inch
What is the output on my svt4pro running 4 ohms on each amp output?

How do you wire the cable if you have two Neutrik connectors as opposed to one 1/4 inch and one Neutrik?

I have an SVT4 Pro with a svt410he and a svt115e - both 8 ohms. Is the best way to run both together mono bridge using the cables in this video? Depending on the venue I only need the 410he and don't want to use the 15. Does the connection stay the same?? thanks

Is it ok to have a NL2FC on the cabinet end?

What would be the best way to connect an SVT4 Pro to a SVT-610HLF?

Would this be the same for a B-4R Mono Bridge cable?

Can I rewire a neutrik to neutrik cable for mono bridging or does the cabinet end have to be a 1/4" connection?

+Samuel David Hale Yes you can go speakon to speakeon just as long as the connector is wired right

Do I need to use 4 conductors? or can I use only 2?

    • @ampegtv
      @ampegtv  8 ปีที่แล้ว

You can use a 2 conductor cable. Just make sure it is wired according to what it says on the back of the amp. One thing to note is if you have a newer 4 Pro (doesn't have the chrome Ampeg badge on the left) then you can leave the cable in normal wiring.
