Still love the look of Rabea's signature and I always loved Petrucci so I was especially surprised about Cory Wong apparently joining MM, I do like how it's reminiscent of the StingRay bass with that pickguard so that's a cool touch
Jesus, that pickup on the Sterling hardly sounded different to the Bareknuckle. At least through my noise cancelling headphones I couldn’t hear a huge difference. Nice work.
Pickups is such a snakeskin oil thing. It's super easy for a company to clone the tech specs of a pickup and with the same amp you can't tell the difference, yet people still think their branded pickups have special unicorn dust. A pickup was primative technology even 50 years ago. 😂
@@villetopi4001I think it’s a mix of both. Once you get to a certain level the differences are so subtle it’s really difficult for the normal person to hear any difference. Throw any pro on a medium level guitar and they’ll sound amazing IMO.
@@intotheshred I can see it both ways TBH. I hardly heard any difference between the expensive BKP and the Sterling here. But with my own guitars, I've noticed really big differences from pickups. But it only really matters for my modern metal rhythm tone because I'm after such a specific kind of high gain tone, where even a slight difference to the character of the distortion might make me like the tone or not. For other styles, pretty much any pickup does the job. There are some cool new things in pickup tech occasionally though. I got a set of Guitarmory LED pickups recently, that have an LED filament inside the bobbins. I've never seen anything like that before, pickups that light up! And they will look really cool after I've got them installed in an all white guitar. Fishman have some interesting tech too, I have their Abasi set being installed in a 7 string and their tech has different humbucker & single coil voicings for each pickup which will be fun to play with. For just a simple, traditional alnico pickup though...I agree it can get a bit silly how expensive the boutique brands get.
Nice guitar Rebea, I've enjoyed your playing ftom back in the Andertons days and noticed an improvment in your playing, it's good to hear your style evolve with age, again, congrats on Music Man
That is an awesome inspiration monster! I‘d explore the granular Features since I don‘t own a granular looper yet. And maybe I‘ll get some nice song ideas from it 😎
These look great. I do hope sterling have upped their QC/build standards though. Last year I tried really hard to buy a Sterling St Vincent Goldie but 3 had to be returned for serious QC issues! Holes in fretboards and really bad tool marks all over it, pickups with mounting screws stripped so they kept falling all over the place and the last one the tuners wouldn’t turn and came with no trem arm and Sterling didn’t have any more to send me.
How very dare you take advantage of the mighty Massaad's goodwill!... only 2mins to demo his own guitar, then get him to spend a further 15mins demo'ing other models?! #CheekyAF LOL
I’d take Shecter off your list and put LTD in there. I’ve never once picked up an LTD that didn’t just play amazing right from the jump. Sound great. And feel like I could either keep it as it is or mod it to the moon and back and be happy with what I get. Shecter should be ashamed of their quality control. I bought a guitar from Sweetwater from Shecter that had to be swapped out three different times for a major defect. One had a partially disconnected pickup switch that literally fell in to the body after a couple days of use. One had issues with the pickups themselves having apparently not been wired correctly. And the third was poorly grounded so that when ever I touched the toggle switches for the sustaniac they would give me 60 cycle hum like nobody’s business. And the sustaniac when it was on and set to a high frequency response gave me the worst sounding whistling sound. Turns out that was a whole bad situation and I know the people I delt with at Sweetwater were pretty mad at that problem because it meant that pretty much their entire stock of that particular model now had to be opened and checked through for defects. I’m not the only one who’s had issues with Shecter’s overseas guitars. Its not hard to find from just a basic google search that the general thought process is if your buying an overseas made Shecter you better be prepared to work on it. Honestly if ESP/LTD just made an Eclipse with both a sustaniac I’d and a Floyd Rose probably never even bother with Shecter again
I get the feeling that there is a lack of respect on Lee's part towards Rabea. Lee treated Rabea like he was an Ernie Ball sales rep employee, not an officially endorsed artist. Especially since this is an Andertons channel video.
Yeah! Makes absolute sense doesn't it....different wood neck and pups and....how many thousands more? That's a crock of shit mate. The simple fact of the matter is brand name, if you think you have to have it and don't mind fishing out the asking price...you do it. But as far as reflection of that price...I, personally, think isn't there. But in doing so they can sell to those that have to have the expensive gear - otherwise they cannot play - and to those that feel it's slightly stupid to fish that amount for an instrument which, most probably, comes out of the same machine. Guitars and gear are an endless merry go round... some like to spin, some don't and it doesn't necessarily have to do with price but more with principle. Of course all those endorsed and those that make a living with guitars/gear aren't relevant for obvious reasons. 🤘👽
I feel like products rabea works on always end up being super popular, and I'm not sure why. Is he super popular? Tbh I only know him from andertons and such lol, does he just have good taste so people like what he makes?
Probably just pushes to make decent stuff. I have the victory kraken tube pre amp pedal and it’s the best “amp” I’ve ever played. That’s obviously based on his signature amp
Listen to any of the Grinding Gears albums. Bea deserves a lot more fame and a lot more success. He is hands down one of the best guitarists walking the planet at the minute.
What I find interesting is that his last Chapman Pro Signature (ML3 Carthus Burst) is still available at Guitar Center & Musician's Friend, spite not having been in production for a few years now. I have the guitar and it's the single greatest guitar I've ever owned. Of course, i was able to handpick mine, but the point is; People are either sleeping on it, or more likely, it's priced out from everyone's radar. It doesnt help that the production photograph they chose does not do it justice. Though im sure they did that to prevent complaints on less stellar examples. Its made at WMI Korea and is everything you want and more in a guitar. At the time i bought it, i didnt know Rabea, but his taste in neck profile is right aligned with mine. Says its a 42mm nut, but measures more like 41.5mm, chunky narrow neck, spanning out to 54mm at the bridge. I could go on but that's not the point here. I wonder how much longer they will take to sell off and what the prices will look like in ten years time on these things. Not that id ever sell mine. I went to great lengths to alter this into MY signature guitar, lol. That was a lot
Unfortunately, I have to agree based on my playing a few several years ago. Maybe they’ve improved since I tried them. It’s actually been about 4 or 5 years.
@@Ambient_OwlYes true, but some companies like Ibanez and PRS make significantly cheaper models that still manage to be loved. I’ve heard a ton of negative things about Sterling compared to Ernie Ball’s premium guitars
The "signature guitar" thing has lost all meaning. It used to mean a guitar the artist played exclusively, with features said artist added to cover all of his playing. What's the point of having three, four or five "signature guitars"??? Also, nowadays any man who can string three chords together and run a scale up and down half decently, gets a "signature guitar". Ridiculous
I would buy Rabea’s musicman just as an appreciation for his patience in this video
@@bastiaan447 his ML3 Pro is still available
People who are fun at parties.
OZ! ya legend!! That shot made me laugh.....you guys. Poor Rabea (sigh...) 🤣
I love it when the gang is back together. Amazing guitars Bea! Will be keeping an eye on that Sterling!
8:45 now i know why Rabea doesnt go back. My kind of humor though.🤣
"Smashterbaiting green!?"
And this is why this channel is always my go to. Still makes me laugh all these years on 😍

Rabea @ 5:14 "So Pete's not gonna do anything, or..." 😅
Yes the Sterlings will be popular because ‘fact hunts’ like me have been itching for its release for some time. Can’t wait to get my mitts on one.
Really enjoy your reviews. NAMM was so busy this year, which is great!
Shezzz, all 3 of those colors are superb !!!! Through YT online compression, the tones are ever-so (barley) noticeable. Cheers Rebea!!
Thank you guys!

straight to the JP models. Him and richardson have such great guitars
Holy s.... I love this pedal! I would play all night long everything that comes to my mind.
green is looking pretty sick haven't seen that color anywhere else yet
The captain is on the nose candy ❄️❄️❄️
The Frenzied Flame colour - I forgot I saw Bea in a TarnishedPosting ER group on FB. Such a dude!
🔥 Another good one
Not anywhere near as cool as Rabz hair!! Great work kidder , you should be proud of your effort and work man.
This guitars are stunning but the best for me is Cory Wong signature. Looks amazing especially the sea blue
Rabea looks like a really good guy + I love is music !
Lee turning up after an all day sesh!😂
Deffo buying rabeas red model!
it's fire I want one in 7 string hopefully one day
I love the red color on the Bea guitar. If they end up coming out with a Baritone I will have to seriously consider picking one up.

Are you all high? 😂
Nice to hear some proper distortion on this TH-cam channel.
Thats sick...love the colour

The deep orange/red guitar on the back wall is catching my attention.
The green looks like Satchs Time Machine album cover

Lee, i have to ask - what are those shoes and shirt? Looks cool, i want those
I hope Rabea was compensated handsomely for this!
