I bought my first Windsurfer from the factory in Marina Del Rey in 1977. This brought back some real memories. Teak booms and daggerboards. Blue noodles. Sails that blew out the first time you used them. Last week, I went out on my IQ set-up in about 20 knots in the S.F. Bay. Foils, all carbon, fully battened induced semi-rigid sails, hitting mid 20 knots in speed. The difference between that rig and the one I bought in 1977 is light years apart, and yet the stoke is still nearly the same, lol. Still windsurfing after nearly 50 years. Thanks for the memories.
