Why does no one talk about The Hidden Ones DLC for Origins, only The Curse Of The Pharaohs gets talked about, The Hidden Ones not only gave us the origin for one of the three tenets of the creed, but had one of the most powerful moments in AC history

@Tucker Adolph quite fair, though they usually do their research when making these videos, and base their opinions on overall enjoyment and memorability, and while it is a short dlc I still think it deserves an honorable mention
I'm going with both Assassin's Creed: Unity: Dead Kings and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate: Jack the Ripper as one of THE Best of the Best Assassin's Creed DLCs there is!

I've never played the Jack the ripper DLC, but I absolutely love the history behind him. A cold blooded serial killer that not only never got caught, but no one had any clue who he could be

AC Unity's Dead Kings DLC gotta be the best for me. Arno's character development felt really strong here, refinding his purpose in life, and love (altough not in a romantic way). You can really feel the transition from depressed and skeptical Arno after losing everyone into caring and wise Assassin.

Ac Origins Curse of the Pharaohs was a fantastic blend of Mythology and real life. I loved that DLC.
Jack the Ripper is and was my favorite assassins creed dlc and still holds up today wish we got more like this!
Im sorry but jack the ripper is the worst dlc ever. Jack the ripper has a bloody bag on his head, a grappling hook that comes out of nowhere, no gauntlet or anything, and his identity is "jack the lad." That dlc added no new map, and didnt even change the existing map to fit the 1888 setting. Literally the map didn't line up with history. Hell, the snow didnt even land, and robbert topping was still just stood there not having aged a single day since 1868... Jacob is wasted and clearly shown to be the better fit for the story and tone of jack the ripper. In the opening mission, Jacob is clearly shining as a character and he manages to be the best character in the entire dlc, with only a few minutes of screen time... In contrast Evie is now the protagonist and she's even more bland and hypocritical then she already was. There are no new weapon types or gameplay features, apart from a fear system that is just a more simple version of the fear system that already exists in base game syndicate and the dead kings dlc. Because the story is a waste of jacob and jack the ripper, the story has near to nothing to offer. The tone and soundtrack are better but that really is it. Jack the ripper is only loved because of people who are shallow enough that having a female assassin as the lead sold them on the dlc. I mean jack the "lad" has a gang, and a grapple hook. It's like a child's writing.
I respect that this is just my opinion, but I can't stand the absolute waste of my favourite assassin's creed game, that jack the ripper made.

Wrath of the druids was my favorite mainly because of the OP spear (Gae Bolg) Eivor gets at the end of the DLC and the trading post in Ireland makes it easy to get good amounts of silver with little effort
Using Gungnir and the Gae Bolg with the Celtic armor will make you feel like an absolute god.

I don't care if some people disliked the tyranny of king Washington. I loved running around feeling like a superhero using my powers to fuck up Gorgies plans.
Legacy of the First Blade is incredibly underrated. It tells the story of the FIRST assassins and the earliest proof of the Assassins vs. Templar war that spans thousands of years
That's the thing though it doesn't. It tells the story of a dude that ACTED like an assassin but canonically can't be one because they literally established the origin of the assassins in the previous game which is set hundreds of years AFTER odyssey. It's really shitty writing from ubisoft
Not to mention it forced your character to be straight, didn’t matter what choices you made in the game.

@@Barrystue Legacy of the First Blade connects Odyssey and Origins through the use of a baby. Without the possibility of a baby being conceived (i.e if Alexios/Kassandra wasn't straight) the stories wouldn't connect without the dlc getting a major rework story wise

Honestly, I think that just about every AC dlc is absolute gold. My exceptions being Jack the Ripper, Curse of the Pharaohs, and The Tyranny of King Washington. Those three I just have my own issues with.
Jack the Ripper for me is...alright. I enjoyed both Curse of the Pharoahs and Tyranny of King Washington.
Come to think of it, people are complaining about the recent dlcs for the recent AC entries for being too "fantasy like" and not "Assassin's Creed." Did it occur to them that the whole fantasy like element existed as early as Tyranny of King Washington with those animal spirit powers?
I never understood the hype around Jack the Ripper. It's slow, comes to a halt too many times at the investigation scenes, there's little stealth, a lot of the locations feel samey because of the re-skinned areas from the base game, and the Jack the Ripper character wasn't interesting to me.
Dead Kings however was the opposite. It's fast, it feels like it celebrates what AC is all about, stealth, parkour and exploration altogether in one amusement park of a send-off to Unity.

I’m currently playing through AC: Origins again and I’m loving it. I’m in Sinai rn. It’s a small map but the Hidden Ones DLC is a great story.
The most interesting thing I found out watching this, was that in the hidden blade dlc for odyssey, Darius actually uses the blade the same way Evior prefers to use it. Before Bayek’s chapter of the creed required the severing of the finger.
Fun fact about the assassin's creed unity dead kings dlc if you play it on Playstation 4 it registers in the trophy section for unity as sequence 13.

Tyranny of King Washington is by the far the best. Had the best storytelling i liked the alternative story and the boss fight

I loved the Jack the Ripper DLC in AC Syndicate but the only problem I had with it was how easily Jacob got the crap kicked out of him and only being able to use Evie but ultimately I did really like the DLC more than most all of them, Dead Kings in AC Unity was really fun too. However, the most recent one I played was AC Valhalla Wrath of the Druids which I enjoyed being able to see Ireland and all.

The Hidden Ones DLC continues expands the game, it explains more about the Hidden Ones and it gives you the sickest gear.

imo Fate of atlantis is by far the best dlc in the whole franchise. i did like wrath of the druids, and it's probably the best valhalla dlc, but i think legacy of the first blade is still a little bit better than wrath of the druids.

I’m WAY late to the party, just started playing AC Valhalla, but it’s so much fun.
Okay I must say, never heard about the DLC with Washington being the king, but like really this is kind of weird way to travel to, like he fought against Monarchy, so why would he become a king, if anyone played it and could tell me about more details of plot in this DLC, i'm really looking forward for it

The Hidden One DLC for AC Origins is an extremely underrated DLC that is right up there with Dead Kings! Not only does it give an extremely powerful moment, but it also gives the origin of one of the three Assassin Tenets thus extending the story!!

Hidden Ones was so great man, Bayek deserved at least one more game but unfortunately Oddysey was already being developed.. I just can't understand why they didn't projected Bayek's story with a sequel

@@redV2 Arno's story in the first place should have been about hunting Shay imo... i guess it was just how yearly releases worked back then.. The next game was almost finished when the current one dropped so they can't choose to build on it. I'd rather have 3 dlcs and wait 2-3 years.

For me, best dlc are with Adéwalé, the curse of the pharaohs and Jack the ripper.
The Hidden Ones from AC: Origins as it actually shows how one of the three tenants of the Creed was formed and it served as a satisfying conclusion to Bayek and Aya's story.
The best dlc didn't make the list!?... Siege of Paris is hands down the best actual assassin's creed experience since origins.

So you clearly have not played LOTFB and Eve is the better of the two twins actually having a brain, and Siege is at most meh, it felt like the rest of the game and was probably on the same level as the jack dlc

I'm one of the few people who was never an oldschool ac fan and prefer the new gameplay style but i know it isn't ac anymore. Just in name alone. but damn black flag was a masterpiece, the only oldschool ac i actually enjoyed
I think most people like the new games seeing how almost every review of the game I've seen is mostly positive
AC was like storytelling of history and the character you play. Now they are just using it's name to sell their new RPG games. In terms of story and character Origins was the last AC while in terms of playing Syndicate was the last. Now it's just bland and boring with hundreds of hours. New games are just mix of Witcher/Souls game. Though that's how trends works and new players who started with origins or Odyssey seems pleased with it so who to complain. Will see how it goes in the future.
I'm definitely fan of old AC games but glad to see someone actually acknowledging that newer games are anything but AC.

@@franks2796 reason is simple, because it's trending. This is like why other MCU movies from phase 3 got box office of 1-1.5 billion while Avengers endgame crossed 3 billions. It's all about creating hype and let them follow trends.
Fans of old AC don't really bother with this stuffs and even if they complain it's not like it will do anything. RPG is the most popular genre along with FPS. But problem with FPS is that you can't make campaign of hundred hours and RPG type system won't work great with it. They'll have to rely on battle Royal or PvP. While RPGs it's easy to add quests and stupid stuffs to make campaign hundred hours long. It's open world with new graphics are eye candy. makes it MMO and you can easily makes it thousand hours game from hundred. Add some more mods, bosses and it becomes perfect recipe for success if do it good. AC name already became famous while they are like pro with beautiful historic settings open world. Throw in things from The Witcher/Souls games. Newer generation prefer to play 1 game for 100 hours rather than 10 games for 10 hours as everyone wants to more from things they like.
I love both genres tbh but didn’t like Valhalla that much. And i am one of the few people who loves Odyssey and Alexios
Black Flag needs a remaster or an FPS bump for the new consoles.

Honestly, I think I've liked every single Assassin's Creed DLC we've gotten. The only one I wasn't too big a fan of was Jack the Ripper. Mostly due to how slow it was and the investigation moments breaking up the flow of gameplay, but otherwise I think the other DLCs are great! And yes, that means the Valhalla ones as well. I know the fan base says they're "terrible", but I completely disagree. I loved them! Especially Dawn of Ragnarok. I'd say Dawn of Ragnarok is in my top five with Curse of the Pharaohs being number one for me. I know people don't like the newer ACs and their DLCs. That's fine, I guess, but I still love them! Fate of Atlantis might also be in my top five as well.
"Rough start" man, it was so bad that after my fav outfit in Unity disappeared again near the end of the game AC:U became first AC game I didn't maxed (not counting AC IV as bug stopped me from checking out one place I've seen), first I didn't complete and last I've bought. Only cool thing in AC:U was my free FarCry 4.

Which ones? The wolf/bear/eagle powers? Those were in an alternate universe and i don't think the willow tea was real or would work in the main ac3 world.
it's not like he drank from a tree of eden or something like that that changed his blood to something similar of kassandra/alexios/eivor, and he also doesn't usually pocess a piece of eden to activate said powers.

@@assassinscreedislife7636 TBH I really don't know why people say Valhalla's post launch was bad. It was among the best support for an AC game Ubisoft has ever done. Three story expansions, new game modes like river raids and tombs of the fallen, the seasonal events, new weapons and armor sets, etc. So I don't know why people say it sucked.

Ragnarock was a great dlc its just badass playing as odin and how he talks to himself and see's himself above all and the man that will deny fate i think it just amazing plus its make the eyepatch necessary

How is siege of Paris not in this list? I preferred that over wrath of the Druids. You actually got to do assassination missions. And as far as Dawn of Ragnarok goes, I can’t even bring myself to finish it. I’m just a couple of hours in, and I find it boring, and bloated. But my favorite has always been the Da Vinci disappearance. Bonfire of the vanities will always be cool too, because it was all about assassinations. I can’t remember what it was called right now, but the dlc for Revelations where you played through the memories of Subject 16 has some of the best writing in the whole series and is so depressing but with a very well told story.

Let's ve honest. The da Vinci disappearence is only in video because it is part of AC brotherhood. It is actually not a good DLC. I would say that thé second DLC to Origins is much more fun.
If we are talking about satisfaying missisons my favourite is the last mission in dead kings where you use the lantern to kill everyone with bats

Imo fate of Atlantis was so grindy it killed the dlc for me. Also Laylas story throughout the whole dlc was so annoying to me. It was such a cool concept but executed so poorly to me.
Didn't people throw a fit about the odyssey dlc cause they wanted to make their character gay and got all pissy cause they didn't want it, so Bethesda changed it so you don't have to have the kid
Realistically, the Odyssey DLCs are better than where they placed, and they kinda messed up by having a legacy of the first blade in origins when they released odyssey seeing as that’s actually the first hidden blade 😬

Even the ones they didn’t mention like The Hidden Ones in Origins & The Seige of Paris in Valhalla are pretty fun.

This lore really made me wish we could really assassinate Pietro in sequence 7.

Ezio spared him saying IIRC like he's contractor of his own death and for that Ezio don't needs to kill him. I felt like it was a mistake as spreading Rodrigo Borgia. but he never appears Micheletto so i thought he died somewhere. Would be great to see Ezio kill him too.
