- This Thing is HUGE!!!!!!!!
She was only ratcheting in 1 direction. I had a feeling 1 of the pawls got knocked outta whack. I was right this time. This is great, now I have a fully functioning 1" drive Proto Ratchet. Big Bertha is the Perfect name for this Ol' Gal. Hopefully I'll have something to use Her on someday.
Until then, She'll be a wall hanger so I can look at Her Every Day.

Me too. I’ve always wanted a Plomb 5849 but haven’t found one yet.
I didn’t even know there was a Proto version. Cool BIG Ol’ Ratchet that’s for sure. Now I have to keep my eyes peeled for the sockets.

This ratchet is crazy huge.
She’s a 1” drive. The 3/4” ratchet looks small next to Her. I put that old pop top beer can next to Her for size. I’m so happy that the pawl was just outta whack. I had a feeling that’s what it was. I got really lucky on this one.

Hahahaha. Yeah, this thing is heavy. She looks like a novelty item. She’s so flipp’n big.
I always look for huge sockets at estate/garage sales. I seen one on eBay for $400. That’s crazy but if you need a 4” socket for an earth mover, I guess you have to pay up. I never thought I’d ever own a 1” drive ratchet, now I have 2.
