I was wondering if you could do a show on what hooks you use how to rig the hook and fluke you use.. Some of us didn't grow up fishing for Reds, specks.
Hey! I love your videos very much. I think you educate or inform at the right speed and detail. I have done a horrible job fishing correctly in every manor for Red Fish and Speckle Trout in Louisiana at Cypremort Point, Marsh Island, Cocodrie, Vermillion Bay or Rockefeller refuge. I do well freshwater fishing but am horrible in salt water fishing. My question to you is where can I buy those HK baits you speed highly of? What length and colors to buy. Do you have a video on rigging and using these baits? Is there a link where you can get the credit for my purchases on product you recommend? Also, My son and I tried but failed to catch a Red Fish at those locations mentioned before he left to serve in the Marines. He is coming back in September for leave and I want to be prepared and more educated to catch a few nice size Reds. I appreciate the time you spend to produce these very informative videos. Sincerely, Troy
Thanks man! For the HK custom flukes visit their Facebook page and order through there. I prefer the mullet and Pearl white patterns. I’ll definitely do a video on how I rig the flukes.
Question about the location, on those flats and ledges in particular. Do the trout tend to be closer to the main inlets of gulf or back up in the bays?
Wouldn’t the statement of how good the fluke is in the summer time contradict how the mirrodine is bad during the summer? Fluke is more of an erratic soft plastic?
Summertime is also spawning time so they have other things on their minds. Don't get me wrong, they still bite, but the windows are shorter and the brighter the moon is, the more spawning activity.
Really appreciate that video. I’ve tried to contact HK flukes to get some to try out. I have his direct number and can not seem to get a pack. I don’t have FB anymore.

Will you give a class on specks?
Yeah I think I can do that.

Both. Trout will stage up anywhere there is clean water, high salinity and Sandy bottom in the summer.

Best chumming for Speckled Trout?
I’ve never tried it really. Not sure if that would be affective or not.
