    In divorce cases, the judge actually prefers if the two parties can come to an agreement before the hearing and that the judge just has to rubber stamp it.

    • @RetiredandLivingthedream
      @RetiredandLivingthedream  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      But if they can't agree the Judge makes the binding decision and edges towards the Lawyers wants.

    I have found most lawyers incompetent and/or lazy.
    The only thing they are good at is invoicing and taking your money.
    I find it better to represent yourself on the basis of being skint. The judges are generally sympathetic and guide you through the case.

      I agree but then sometimes you need advice, in my case they got it so wrong, yes I could have gone to the Ombudsman and taken the Solicitor to court for getting it so wrong but more money I did not have. They did lose the 8,000 pounds though.

    Please all BEWARE. Once you are divorced, DO NOT forget, you also need to file for financial separation. If you dont do this, you are still liable for any of her debts accrued during the marriage. So many men get suckered by this.

    You can actually divorce yourselves without blood suckers solicitors! You and your spouse need to come an agreement which is fair for both of you without selfishness particularly the wife! I have done it in the UK myself so I can confirm. Solicitors make both of you fight more and ends up hating each other more. Plus the costs of solicitors is very high… you and your spouse need to maintain good relationship for the children and grandchildren etc… This is very good content Les…

    In the US the judge (former attorney) and attorneys are in league to draw out many cases as long as possible, especially when dealing with corporate clients. The game is to bill by the hour and make sure there are as many hours as possible in all cases. In family court for divorces, child support, etc. it's not as much like that but the field is heavily tilted toward the woman.

    Family law in Australia work to different rule than regulation, then other courts, my wife and I had made up a stat dec to split 50 / 50 no that doesn't count, not worth the paper it's written on, so she draws up a standard document tells me that she's entitled to more 2000AUD in advance end of the month another 750AUD for photocopying and phone calls to her assistant (2) plus I agreed to pay for my wife's solicitor cost to read and advise TBA. We have no kids together we split the real estate 50/50 plus my pension over 27 years together 22 being married, all my wages put in over that time don't count for SFA it was 75% for the first 16years and 100% for the last 10 years.

    Divorces are rarely pretty.
    When there are children involved and substantial assets, it’s unfortunate you and your ex-wife weren’t able to come to an amicable agreement without having to lawyer up.
    It would be interesting to hear your take on why you think you have been so unsuccessful with regards to marriage.
    It takes two to tango, sure, but you come across like a very rational and well-reasoned person on your channel.
    Is it all an act, since you can control what you upload?
    What are we missing?
    Thanks for sharing.

      You clearly have never experienced the bias of the British family law court system towards women regarding divorce or access to your own children.
      Yes it takes 2 to tango but remember when assets are involved such as business & property interests it only takes one vote in British law for 50% to 75% of your hard earned assets to be expropriated and given to your ex wife.
      I.E women in the UK/western world are highly motivated to divorce their husbands, they get all the money and assets and custody of the children.
      Solicitors and family courts in the UK are corrupt full stop!

    • @RetiredandLivingthedream
      @RetiredandLivingthedream  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Not an act, what you see is what you get, Can I say no fault on my part apart from maybe taking a few risks trying to make a few bob, which my wife benefitted from my doing. ( Nothing Illegal )She got what she wanted not having to go out to work being able to stay at home looking after the kids. For the 3 divorces I have gone through this is explained on my other divorce video's. Honest caring hard working man what most woman are looking for but sometimes that is not enough. Then also different wants as in my 3rd Divorce so move on. Thanks for the question.

    • @RetiredandLivingthedream
      @RetiredandLivingthedream  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes had also that to deal with, my ex denied me access to my children this took 9 months to be able to see them, just because I introduced them to my New girlfriend and the kids said she was so much fun to be with. That lit the blue touch paper and now the kids want nothing to do with me, poisoned by the ex wife. I should write a book.
      As one Solicitor told me good guys get screwed.
