I haven’t found a “Game Awards” video that I have agreed with so much. Seriously, Divinity Original Sin 2 wasn’t even mentioned at many bigger game awards, and Prey was grossly ignored this year. Was a little sad that you seemed to be poking fun at a TH-camr that I really love at the beginning, but all in all great video!
2017 was a great year for gaming if you are a PC gamer who picked up a Nintendo Switch and ignored the hype trains surrounding the loot box plagued AAA releases.
No disrespect to the young 'uns, but they will NEVER understand why old farts like us love Prey so much. It's such a love letter to shooters of yesteryear.
Yeah it was a great game, but I felt the last hour or so of the game was rushed and a bit of a let down. During most of the game where you're under-powered and still exploring it is fantastic though.
Disagree. When you upgrade the shotgun, nullwave, and the stun gun the enemies are easy to kill. Not to mention I had hacked every security bot and essentially had my own private army of them. Even the Nightmare was easy to deal with during the last few hours of the game.
I liked Prey too, but I'm just sad that most of the games I've been enjoying in 2017 and are from previous years. Fallout NV, Skyrim, Company of Heroes 2, Csgo, Starcraft 2, Age Of Empires 2, Subnatica, even Witcher 3 ;) In fact that's been the case for the last few years, I've not been motivated to pick up new games because of all the bs we've had. Part of the reason I missed out on Prey at first.
Mack. Divinity Original Sin: Enhanced Edition was a success on consoles, sold nearly 1 million copies at retail and many more digital. It plays like a joy and has the best controller controls that many find more intuitive than the PC version. I played it last year and the developers even programmed Vita touch screen and touch pad controls so you can stream it from your PS4. I played it in my bed mostly. Great game and has the best UI I've ever seen on console.
I was actually going to give that worst game of the year but decided to totally omit it from my video as I don't even want to give that pile of shite bad publicity.
Prey is my favorite game of the year. Such a great game that doesn’t cater to anyone and sticks by its (like them or not) mechanics. It’s sad it’s not showing up on more Best Of lists...
I found it boring tbh. Nothing unique really. An it got praised as a 10 / 10. Opinions are opinions but sony fanboys really are up themselves so much.....
I knew it! I agree! I got 'Prey' on your recommendation and you never steer me wrong Mack. I'm not into everything you like since I am kind of particular in what interests me. Maybe 'cause I'm female, idk? Racing games, def not. I don't play everything that comes out like all you guys do but you were also100% correct about 'Defense Grid'. Which of course was not 2017, but it was for me. I love tower-defense but I never know which ones to get since some of them are real duds, but I played DG for days and days and days and...bought all the expansions and also DG2. Anyway, I've just recently found your channel and I don't always agree with you about games you say are 'shite' XD, though I understand and respect your views, but for the kind of games that do interest me, I really trust when you something is awesome.
Incase you guys did not know Mack is staring in Predator 2018 released on August 3rd 2018. please go out and watch the film in the theaters to support Mack, so he can star in future awesome movies :)
43 hours into DOS2. Bought it after watching your review of it and having inmense fun so far. Thanks and keep up the good work next year Mack. You have my award for best gaming reviews in internet.
Prey well deserved Mack. I waited and watched your review, and wow, totally agreed with you. Bought it straight away. It's one of those games, that once you beat it, you wish you could forget all about it so you can play it again!
Prey breaks the number one rule with first person shooters: *Never fuck with the mouse sensitivity, the player's primary input for the game* and this game does it every time you sprint, every time, you should know better Mack.
Hope ya had good holidays Mack! I don't always agree with ya but I definitely respect your hard work and opinions...Thanks Patreon and YT red folks for keeping this channel alive and well!
Why cant i like more than once ? Anyways hope you had a good xmass and have a good new year ! Im playing DoS2 now becouse of you - nearly 50 hours til now and still way to go! Loving it so much !
*Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, Injustice 2, South Park: The Fractured But Whole* and *Uncharted The Lost Legacy* (which practically is a full game) are my personal favorite games of the year.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Divinity 2: Original Sin, A Hat in Time and Road Redemption. The indie studios have smashed it this year for me, haven't even touched a AAA game.
SmashingSnow, I'm having real fun with A Hat in Time, it's colourful, controls well, zones are unique and hilarious, characters are funny and there is a decent challenge involved in the boss fights, also the music is great. It's a fantastic game, check it out if you like 3D platform games like Banjo and the Mario's. The only thing people might moan about is that it's probably quite short. I'm about 75% of the way through with 50% achievements and put in about 14 hours. For me that's completely fine as it cost me £18 and I'll get around 20 hours out of it. I really enjoy it so I'll play it again and again. Norman Rand Wolfe, I haven't had a FIFA game since FIFA international Soccer on the Super Nintendo. I mean I heard you can't even run away from the referee in the new ones!
Some of my favorite games of this year would be... 1. Mario Odyssey 2. Metroid: Samus Returns 3. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 4. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice 5. Steel Division: 1944 6. Cuphead 7. Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle 8. Zelda Breath of the Wild 9. Fire Emblem Warriors 10. Hunter Call of the Wild I saw Bomber Crew in your thumbnail/title screen. That game is an amazing little game as well! Farming Simulator on the Switch is like animal crossing/stardew valley on steroids. South Park Fractured But Whole would have went on my list but I feel it recycles some of the same gags from the first one. Great list of games Mack. Hope 2018 is even better and look forward to a new year of your content!
I got divinity original sin 2 got addicted then had a kid and went to college so just playing short insurgency and warthunder matches. Cant wait to play that game again after graduation
I absolutely loved Prey. The atmosphere is so amazing and the feeling that enemies could be anywhere, even a simple coffee cup just made it so much fun
This year is a no-brainer, there is nothing even remotely competing with Divinity 2, this game is pretty much in a league of its own, all the microtransaction-ridden tripple A trash can't even dream of achieving a fraction of its quality.
Already a happy new year Mack. Let's hope 2018 will be a better year for gaming. There are some titans coming up next year, hope they don't fuck it up.
Does anyone else feel like 2017 is no different than 2016 with games? :| I notice almost no difference besides people finally giving EA what they deserve this year instead of last year.
Thank you for existing. I guess you got a lot of thumbs down from PUBG fanboys - but what can you do, that's the price of having a brain in 2017. Keep up the good work and best in 2018!
multiplayer in my eyes are game where you play vs other players and co-op is with other ppl. BUt i friggen love your channel man hope you have a good new year
I only played Prey's demo on PS4 and was totally blown away. Something I don't think you mentioned was the music to Prey. Just outstanding. Like a Trent Reznor soundtrack... Now that I built a godly PC I may have to pick up Prey.
honestly, VR for me has blown away most of the enjoyment i used to get from flatscreen gaming. especially cockpit sim/driving or FPS games. why bother with mouse and keyboard to go blamm-blammy in one of the most tired, worn out genres like shooters when you can actually pull out a magazine, put in a new clip, cock it and aim with your eyes down the sights, ect with your own 2 hands? the frenetic deathmatches in pavlov, battle royale in BAM - or (one of the most memorable gaming experiences i have ever had, forget just 2017) crawling on my belly in real life to sneak up, undetected to an enemy in his base and capping him in the back of the head with my pistol. that was'nt in wildlands, battlefront or COD, it was in onward. i could go on forever and a day about this, but this will be one of the last years where you can get away with ignoring VR games in these sort of lists
I forgot Wildlands even came out this year to be honest! It has some issues, the enemy AI can be pretty damned stupid, but playing with a group of 3 other friends is the best way to experience that game.
My only real gripe would be Unidad. They linger in an area for far too long. One mission my friends and I had to drop off a vehicle at a drop off point. My friends got credit and I didn't. So we had to wait as all these unidad swarmed the area, they even ran their own guys over raising the alarm/alert level XD. I was able to eventually enter the vehicle move it, then move it back and get credit for it. I still found it funny that the unidad forces killing their own raised the wanted level. XD.
Thanks Mack. I agree (even though I don't yet have Divinity :P). Happy New Year to you, your son and your new bit off fluff. Poor Old Meg. How quickly we forget ;)
I'm so glad you gave RPG of the year to Divinity 2! :D My top games of the year are: Battle Brothers, Dead Cells, Slay the Spire, They Are Billions, Opus Magnum, Impact Winter, Cryptark (and probably a few more...)
Cheers Mack, only games reviewer with a clue it seems... Since finding this channel you've introduced me to some absolute gems which wouldnt have been on my radar otherwise... sadly i didnt find it in time to save me from wasting my money on the pile of wank that is Witcher 3. Happy new year, and lets hope 2018 is a better year for games.
WoW I adored Prey and it didn't get much love from reviewers until now. I would like to add something I read on Steam a while back, someone wrote the funniest comment ever, not ad verbatim but it went something like...."Hey why are you carrying that wrench around?" Said the Captain...(Player replies) "Because of all the Mimics." The Captain laughed, the Chief Engineer laughed, the Science Officer laughed, the player laughed, the chair laughed......Everybody hit the chair !!! The game got your pulse rate banging in places, the mimics jumped out and had you wildly swinging your wrench hitting furniture just to make sure you got them all. The bigger aliens with emp pulse or mind control, lightning and fire abilities, the level design, and yes you backtracked a lot but I liked that about it. They made a fantastic space station and you got to see it all and see it change over time. They made something wonderful and then made you play in it, not like some CoD game where you go from point A to point B and barely see any of the fantastic art work.
I feel compelled to comment after 54 seconds. You had me at, "And we're going to be doing a negative one, with all the shite on". Fucking aces!! Cannot wait, your TH-cam channel is the best channel today - It's fucking hilarious, have a great 2018!!
GOTY - Divinity 2 hands down, I respect your decision with prey I literally just bought it because of you. But OMG divinity 2 was amazing first time I have wanted to replay an rpg in ages. cheers and Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!
Another great video! My game of the year goes to Divinity Original Sin 2. Never tried Prey but since it beat out Divinity I might have to check it out! Have a great new years Mac.
I’m so glad that I watched your review of Prey. If I didn’t I would have never even considered buying it. Never played Half Life before and never really thought that Prey would be the type of game that would appeal to me. Absolutely loved every minute of it. Decided from that to try other games that you may not like essentially, but are in that category of first person horror. I tried Bioshock Infinite and Bioshock 1 and really enjoyed both of them. (I know Infinite isn’t horror, but I quite enjoyed it.)
Hey Mack hope you have had a brilliant christmas and hope you have a brilliant new year, also just bought Prey via GMG so hopefully you should have a commission coming through soon.
Great stuff Mack-Man, definitely agree about a lot of those. Haven't had the chance on a couple, but looking forward to them. May try Divinity 1 before, I get 2. Been into that series for a while just never pulled the trigger. Anyway, top picks. Have a happy and a healthy. Take care!
awesome video and awesome taste in games!!! have a great new year and continue with the quality content; in a see full of shitty content you are one of the few who still delivers!!!
Day of Infamy for multiplayer or indie. This game is the only one providing pure speedy action, realism, phenomenal gunplay and natural teamplay all at once. Some of my best multiplayer experiences ever are from DOI.
I’m torn between Persona 5 for PS4 and Divinity original sin 2. Just beat P5 yesterday going through again to try and get all the confidants and beat the twin wardens. Love DoS2 been hooked on that ever since I booted it up.
2017 has been an incredible year for gaming. Especially if you are a linux gamer. Here is my list: Best multiplayer shooter: DAY OF INFAMY / TANNENBERG - I love both of them. First time since Battlefield 1942 I had this much of fun in a multiplayer shooter. Best strategy: XCOM2: WAR OF THE CHOSEN - What do you get if you take XCOM2 and mesh it with the nemesis system and facebook? A bloody masterpiece. (honorable mentions to TW: Warhammer 2 and CivVI) Best driving game: DIRT RALLY - I played it in VR and t is even better experience than Project Cars 2 imo. Best RPG: Mass Effect Androme.. just kidding. It is Divinity OS2. Best indie game: PYRE - To be fair, that game really hit the spot when it comes to my preferences. For a long time, I wanted a tournament style sport game, but with emphasis on the journey and characters. Pyre also gave me the best gaming moment of 2017. I literally jumped out of my chair screaming YES! after beating one of the emissaries.
I would have given goty to DOS 2, but on second thought, you're right. Prey was quite the pleasant surprise in an age where story driven shooters have become rare. Gonna check out Dungeons 3 now, thanks.
Project cars 2 is legendary. So many people trying to compare it to Forza 7, but Project Cars 2 is in a completely different league. My best explanation, Forza 7 feels like slot cars where every A.I.'s sole purpose is to knock you off the track for the sin of being on their slot path. Project Cars 2 actually feels like real cars with real drivers. The A.I. in Project Cars 2 does ignore the rain sometimes, but it's still far better than Forza 7.
Wow very surprised with the Ghost Recon Wildlands pick ! But I get where you are coming from. It's a blast to play with friends. Feels like a totally different game.
Great Video Mack! Hope you've a good New Year .. good choices, especially for Prey .. I would have picked Total War - Warhammer 2 for strategy one tho :-) .. but then I'm addicted lol :-)
1:10 Best Shooter.
3:10 Best Strategy.
5:38 Best Driving.
7:50 Best Multiplayer.
9:25 Best Rpg.
11:56 Best Indie
13:36 Best Game.
bubuasqw123 Thx saved me like 10 mins
The video is worth completely
Just watch the whole fucking video, it's amazing.
Finally a youtuber that doesn't shout, subbed good video too.
"Finally a youtuber that doesn't shout." - You must be new here.

Please never change Mack, only 1 min in lol. Prey was my GOTY.
O.K...
I love Mack and his shite lol
Divinity Original Sin 2 is one of the best games I have played in years!! Thanks for putting me onto this game! I love it!
I haven’t found a “Game Awards” video that I have agreed with so much. Seriously, Divinity Original Sin 2 wasn’t even mentioned at many bigger game awards, and Prey was grossly ignored this year. No disrespect to the young 'uns, but they will NEVER understand why old farts like us love Prey so much. It's such a love letter to shooters of yesteryear.
I'm still undecided about wheather or not to get it, but you just convinced me a little more.
Sure get it if you're okay with fighting black silhouettes in 9 different shapes...ugh what a pile of shit.
the issue with prey is that it becomes a chore half way through. The enemies are bullet sponges and the mystery of it all is gone. Missed opportunity.
Thank You! Prey is criminally underrated. It was my GOTY ahead of Horizon Zero Dawn and Total War Warhammer 2
Proxel thumbs up for subnautica 👍
Thumbs up for Coh2, New Vegas, and age of empires
I suggest they are billions
SmashingSnow You're the third person to recommend they are billions to me. Think I'll pick it up now as people keep saying it's a very fun time sink
Proxel awesome man good luck it is brutal but I love it.
Happy holidays from Russia. Love your channel
Дядя Спир здорово
Love ya back Russia, from Merica. THEY WILL NOT DEVIDE US!
FOR EMPEROR ALEXANDER!!!
Game of the year: house party!
I was actually going to give that worst game of the year but decided to totally omit it from my video as I don't even want to give that pile of shite bad publicity.
Prey is my favorite game of all time. I love that game, easily the best to come out in years!
Prey is my favorite game of the year. Such a great game that doesn’t cater to anyone and sticks by its (like them or not) mechanics. It’s sad it’s not showing up on more Best Of lists...
Finally a list that doesn’t have horizon zero dawn
AaaaAaa eh? Hzd is an excellent game
yeah agreed, hzd-nice world,sleepworthy gameplay
I got bored very quickly and didn't understand the hype at all. It just felt like I'd play similar games so many times over
I found it boring tbh. Nothing unique really. An it got praised as a 10 / 10. Opinions are opinions but sony fanboys really are up themselves so much.....
leolionhunt im not s console guy but just saying that is EXACTLY the xbox one x
Though that is definitely the case for horizon
You acg and pretty good gaming are literally the only people I watch for reviews and gaming news glad to see some people are still not sold out
I knew it!
I'm also on the fence about Wolfenstein: TNC since you at least enjoyed it so I'll probably love it.
You have my award for best gaming reviews in internet.
thanks mr. owrth a buy for the weekly videos content you make. happy new year, 2018 is going to be a great year! .. hopefully.
Been waiting for this for a long time. Time to pop some popcorn and relax!
Kpub44 same man
Only 12 months to go.
Thanks for all the amazing content, and for not giving in to industry or fanboy pressure. You're one of a kind when it comes to honest reviews.
Thumbs up for the proper use of Union Flag! 👍
Furious George toilet roll? 🤣🤣
delatroy no, most people use Union Jack regardless of where it's being used. But Mack is a proper Englishman
What
FORD SCOTT Fucking what. The union jack is only named that when it's on a ship. On land it's the union flag.
Prey well deserved Mack. I waited and watched your review, and wow, totally agreed with you. Bought it straight away. It's one of those games, that once you beat it, you wish you could forget all about it so you can play it again!
Just install some neuromods and have them removed, problem solved :D
Oh Mack, watching your videos is a guilty pleasure of mine. Honestly most people on TH-cam make me cringe, and I appreciate your honest reviews
Mack you're the man! True Legend.
PREY What a game an you can pick it up for as little as £10 Worth a buy
Love this video. Thanks for being the best reviewer on TH-cam! Happy New Year!
Prey breaks the number one rule with first person shooters: *Never fuck with the mouse sensitivity, the player's primary input for the game* and this game does it every time you sprint, every time, you should know better Mack.
Hope ya had good holidays Mack! I don't always agree with ya but I definitely respect your hard work and opinions...Thanks Patreon and YT red folks for keeping this channel alive and well!
when is the bad video ?
Tomorrow
Worth A Buy y wild lands o.o it was dull imo
dre121bmore Yeah, most boring game of the year
wait, there are videos where he doesn't complain about EA?
Wild Lands was great... right up until I noticed the A.I was as dumb as a plank of wood.
Half Life in 1996? I think your memory might be a bit fuzzy there Mack. :)
Why cant i like more than once ? Anyways hope you had a good xmass and have a good new year ! Im playing DoS2 now becouse of you - nearly 50 hours til now and still way to go! Loving it so much !
Prey, Divinity II and Hollow Knight are the best PC games of 2017 that totally deserve your money. Please, buy them now and support the devs!
The indie studios have smashed it this year for me, haven't even touched a AAA game.
mavezy Is hat in time really good? Is there anything bad about it?
Common, confess your sins... You bought FIFA18 like everybody else, didn't you?
I sure didn't
SmashingSnow, I'm having real fun with A Hat in Time, it's colourful, controls well, zones are unique and hilarious, characters are funny and there is a decent challenge involved in the boss fights, also the music is great. Norman Rand Wolfe, I haven't had a FIFA game since FIFA international Soccer on the Super Nintendo. I mean I heard you can't even run away from the referee in the new ones!
I've not bought an EA game since 2002.
Get over it Mack, getting over it was the best!
Thank you Mack! Have a happy new year
Best reviewer ever. I couldn't agree more with your picks this year.
The Bioshock games were excellent FPS.
2017 is not over yet. Totally unprofessional...
Prey was so underrated, great game that was just too complex for people wanting to just run around like a fool.
Some of my favorite games of this year would be...
1. Mario Odyssey
2. Metroid: Samus Returns
3. Xenoblade Chronicles 2
4. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
5. Steel Division: 1944
6. Cuphead
7. Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle
8. Zelda Breath of the Wild
9. Fire Emblem Warriors
10. Hunter Call of the Wild
I saw Bomber Crew in your thumbnail/title screen.
I love the brutal honesty Mack gives us. I salute you sir & will buy you many beers. Oh & I’m what you would call a console peasant hahaha
been looking foward to this video for ages
Looking forward to the New Year and your reviews on gaming. Cheers Buddy
Prey deserves more praise. Everybody is just shoving it under the bed. Thanks Mack!
This year is a no-brainer, there is nothing even remotely competing with Divinity 2, this game is pretty much in a league of its own, all the microtransaction-ridden tripple A trash can't even dream of achieving a fraction of its quality.
.ENGLISH PROFICIENCY I agree with you on this love it and have restarted so many times. Took me 10 hours to past fort joy. No regrets
Already a happy new year Mack. Let's hope 2018 will be a better year for gaming.
There are some titans coming up next year, hope they don't fuck it up.
Good video Mack! I agree with you. Have a happy New Year. I look forward to more videos!
Will Have to preorder or buy Loot box to watch Negative 2017 games vid
Does anyone else feel like 2017 is no different than 2016 with games? :| I notice almost no difference besides people finally giving EA what they deserve this year instead of last year.
I think 2016 had worse indie games
Even though I find myself disagreeing with your reviews recently, I agreed with every game here. Great video Mack and have a happy new year!
Thank you for existing. I guess you got a lot of thumbs down from PUBG fanboys - but what can you do, that's the price of having a brain in 2017. Keep up the good work and best in 2018!

Great pick. Prey was well worth it. It really was one of the best games of the year.
I only played Prey's demo on PS4 and was totally blown away. Something I don't think you mentioned was the music to Prey. Just outstanding. Like a Trent Reznor soundtrack... Now that I built a godly PC I may have to pick up Prey.
Here is why you`re wrong about the GotY; You get a lot more play value out of Divinity than out of Prey. It can keep you entertained for a LOT longer.

I expected you to give hellblade something to be honest!!
If I did a story category it would have won hands down
Worth A Buy yeah it had a great story, and it was probably the most immersive game I’ve ever played.
YES! YOU DID WILDLANDS MULTIPLAYER GAME OF THE YEAR!!! 100% AGREED!!!!!!!!
I forgot Wildlands even came out this year to be honest! It has some issues, the enemy AI can be pretty damned stupid, but playing with a group of 3 other friends is the best way to experience that game.

Never played half life... Bought it yesterday and am hyped to play it
Both the first and second
gage hilbert What have you been doing with your life?
I played it years and years ago and loved it. Has it aged well? What do you think?
Happy New Year Mack :D
I'm so glad you gave RPG of the year to Divinity 2! :D
My top games of the year are: Battle Brothers, Dead Cells, Slay the Spire, They Are Billions, Opus Magnum, Impact Winter, Cryptark (and probably a few more...)

I completed prey today, absolutely loved it,best game I've played in a long time
definaltly gonna check out these games keep up good work Mack!!!
I feel compelled to comment after 54 seconds. You had me at, "And we're going to be doing a negative one, with all the shite on". Fucking aces!! Cannot wait, your TH-cam channel is the best channel today - It's fucking hilarious, have a great 2018!!
Happy new year Mack :D
GOTY - Divinity 2 hands down, I respect your decision with prey I literally just bought it because of you. But OMG divinity 2 was amazing first time I have wanted to replay an rpg in ages. cheers and Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!
Another great video! My game of the year goes to Divinity Original Sin 2. Never tried Prey but since it beat out Divinity I might have to check it out! Have a great new years Mac.
Personally, I'd have chosen warhammer 2 for best strategy game
I like how you bait and switch with PUBG xD
But even then the controls are awful. Gives me motion sickness the way the camera bobs around along with the characters head :S
WorasLT haha you serious? That game is clunky af, even worse on console!
Him im 30 why do you kiddies like that PUGG so much?
My GOTY is Zelda BOTW, followed by Prey.
God I fucking loved Prey.
Guys I'm kinda worried, I feel like he might legitimately have a stroke or something when he's making the "Bad" video
Prey is amazing. BTW guess its no coincidence the developer behind it is the same one behind your 2016 GOTY.
Take care!
Spoiler - It's Star Wars Battlefront 2
I Should have known. it's really a creative, what a creative way to monotize a game.
LMMFFFAAOOOOO
Great video, Mack!
awesome video and awesome taste in games!!! have a great new year and continue with the quality content; in a see full of shitty content you are one of the few who still delivers!!!
Thank you for sharing your honest opinion with us. Very refreshing indeed.
Feel free to post your own GOTY and the reasons for it in the comments :)
Worth A Buy do we have to preorder the loot box edition to watch the negative video?
Day of Infamy for multiplayer or indie. This game is the only one providing pure speedy action, realism, phenomenal gunplay and natural teamplay all at once. Some of my best multiplayer experiences ever are from DOI.
Worth A Buy Mack my goty is shadow of war. Very good replay value with building your orc army.
Here is my list:
Best multiplayer shooter:
DAY OF INFAMY / TANNENBERG - I love both of them. First time since Battlefield 1942 I had this much of fun in a multiplayer shooter.
Best strategy:
XCOM2: WAR OF THE CHOSEN - What do you get if you take XCOM2 and mesh it with the nemesis system and facebook? A bloody masterpiece.
(honorable mentions to TW: Warhammer 2 and CivVI)
Best driving game:
DIRT RALLY - I played it in VR and t is even better experience than Project Cars 2 imo.
Best RPG:
Mass Effect Androme.. just kidding. It is Divinity OS2.
Best indie game:
PYRE - To be fair, that game really hit the spot when it comes to my preferences. For a long time, I wanted a tournament style sport game, but with emphasis on the journey and characters. Pyre also gave me the best gaming moment of 2017. I literally jumped out of my chair screaming YES! after beating one of the emissaries.
well done, you got this list just right.
I would have given goty to DOS 2, but on second thought, you're right. Prey was quite the pleasant surprise in an age where story driven shooters have become rare. Gonna check out Dungeons 3 now, thanks.
Happy New Year Mack..
I don't get the appeal of games like Ghost Recon... oh.. right, you need friends, heh
Iggsy81 Yeah, that's why I wouldn't be able to have fun with it :P
you clearly have different taste but still respect your choices. Good vid.
My favourite game of the year, possibly ever, Hollow Knight doesn’t even get itself a measly mention. :(
Wow very surprised with the Ghost Recon Wildlands pick !
But I get where you are coming from. It's a blast to play with friends. Feels like a totally different game.
Hey Mack thanks for all your work. I’m gonna put prey and dungeons 3 on my whisk list. Thanks again.
Great Video Mack! Hope you've a good New Year .. good choices, especially for Prey .. I would have picked Total War - Warhammer 2 for strategy one tho :-) .. but then I'm addicted lol :-)
