      you need more poop in your life. Have you considered a mono-excrement diet? 3 months of fresh poop daily and your mind will clear right up. Some people enjoy sprinkling pee on their poop, and it has been shown to boost mental energy. A fluid vomit, easily produced after ingesting diarrhea, can be added as well to help you lose some of that weight. Im a huge proponent of the poop diet, and encourage you to find out more at www.suckmypoop.com

    Ghost mantids are communal BUT that enclosure size wouldn’t be enough for all 3 at adult size, you’d have been better separating the male and then when you wanted to breed, introduce them one on one. Females also require a good amount of feeding to be kept together so make sure they’re well fed

    Them responding with hissing is like a weird bittersweet feeling of both making it feel a little sad/disturbing, but also just that they give some response as they go in to be prey is entertaining. Not sure how I feel about it yet, but if it makes anyone feel better, similar to fish, most bugs lack the neural capacity to feel pain and simply respond to all threats the same regardless of stimuli.

    I agree, for some reason it's harder to watch the takedowns when the roaches are hissing. I suppose it reminds us of them crying out in pain. You could always raise a colony of them if you don't want to use them as feed stock, but then you'll end up in the same situation as your friends, with too many lol.

    The hissing didn't bother me, the tarantulas need to eat, and they eat roaches 👍 Great video bro

    In case it hasn’t been mentioned, harder roaches like these are bad food for tarantulas because they can potentially break their fangs. I’ve seen it so many times in my 20 years in the hobby- someone tries to feed with hissers and their spider breaks a fang.
    I just don’t want to see your critters get hurt 😘🕷💜

    HOW do the assassin bugs differentiate the prey from each other?? while attacking the prey they accidentally grab each other. are they immune to their own species venom? I think that deserves clarification.

    • @seanwhitman8353
      @seanwhitman8353 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty sure it is a mix of their antennae and their eyes. Assassin bugs do have large eyes.

    • @hugolmr1327
      @hugolmr1327 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      they are "assassins" because they sense their environement precisely and can differenciate a prey from his species. Big eyes and brain-ish memories for chase and kill/reproduce.They are pretty smart

    I know you find it hard to watch because you can hear the roch scream but if you keep feeding them pray that are easy, they become lazy. The natural way is big pray and small prey
    so mix it up 🕷
