Couldn't agree more. I love mine to death. Has stayed on my wrist since day 1, and only comes off when I shower. The band I've been using takes it up 10 notches. It looks amazing. Not even just by smartwatch standards but by actual watch standards. I really hope they continue with this design, I love it.
Imma push back on your opinion about the rotating bezel. For me, it is an absolute deal breaker. I have a gear s2 that I replaced with a galaxy watch classic and now have the watch 6 classic. After working in construction all those years and constantly getting dust and debris on it, hitting it against things (sometimes quite hard), and scraping it against wood, concrete, screws, etc. I have never had an issue with my bezel. Sometimes, it can get a little rough, but after playing with it for a few seconds, it smooths back out. When I was upgrading from my galaxy watch, I considered getting the ultra and was willing to pay for it, but it just wasn't worth it to me to pay more and not get a crucial feature that has been the primary reason that I stick with galaxy watches. Rotating bezel gang for life. And besides, if you're working out and all sweaty (or have paint or other stuff on your hands like I find myself sometimes) it's nice to have a way to manipulate the device without getting water/sweat on the screen and not having it bug out and zip back and forth and click random things. Just my opinion. Still a cool watch tho.
I have the 4 classic and the 6 classic and there the same watch just a smaller rotating bezel. You might as well wait for the next watch if you don't like the ultra. To be honest. I never even use my rotating bezel. I just use the screen
I think your charging issue is related to the charger. I bought the Samsung charger for $14.00, and my Galaxy Watch Ultra is only taking 35 minutes to charge from 25% to 95%.
@@michamai76 Actually the watch did not come with a charger, only the USB-C Cable at least here in the US. I upgraded from the Galaxy 5 Pro soon as the Ultra 7 was released, and I'm still quite impressed with the watch overall. The screen resolution and brightness are beautiful to look at, and I have zero issues reading it outside in the sunshine. I usually get 3 full days of battery life, and I also wear it at night for sleep tracking, which has been great. It's unreal all of the metrics that it tracks at night and I can tell if I'm getting sick simply by my body temperature change which I can then counter act with a little more sleep and rest to avoid getting sick. The bad is extremely comfortable, and I do get a ton of compliments on the watch, more so than any other watch I've owned, to be honest. I also charge soon as I get up when needed, and it typically takes 1.5 hours. Of course, it would be nice to charge in less than an hour, but it's not a deal breaker.
My watch lasts four full days on a single charge. I'm not using it at night for sleep tracking, but I use it for everything else during the day. Very happy with it.
I just got a brand new one for 169.99 from Samsung. Black friday discount and they also gave $250 for my Galaxy watch 4 Classic as a trade in. On top of that, they gave me a 25% off coupon. Best deal I have ever had.
I just got this and I love it. Love the size and feel. The screen is a thing of beauty. I have the watch classic 4 and this is a proper upgrade. Changed my strap to the spigen strap and it looks great.
I managed to trade in my 5 pro for the ultra right before the price went up (paid $214 and the day after it was $347on Samsung's site) ... I'm still so impressed by this watch. I was on the fence for the longest because I was content with the 5 Pro but man I'm happy I went through with the trade
I have the watch ultra since 1 week now and its the best I've ever got. It's even works perfectly together with my Google Pixel 9 pro XL. I was considering the Pixel watch too but I don't like the looks which is also very important too me! Great review!
I just switched from a GW5 to the PW3 in combo with a P8P. And I can tell you, the Pixel watch integrates much better with fewer bugs alongside a pixel phone than the Galaxy watch did. For example, setting an alarm on either my phone or watch sets it on both. And Google music along with getting my earbuds to properly connect to the Galaxy watch was always a nightmare. Also, there are quite a few features of Samsung Health that only work with a Galaxy phone.

Alarm, battery percentage. And steps. So battery means more to me. Compared to my watch4 44mm, which I had to charge basically every day. This watch is a breath of fresh air.
I really am enjoying my Watch Ultra! The fitness tracking has been on point and the smart features are undeniable. My one complaint would be the charging speeds, but overall would recommend this to anyone wanting a combination of a sports watch and a smartwatch.
I thought about getting a smartwatch, but can't justify getting one. What would i use it for? I'm not a professional athlete, all the health and fitness tracking i want can be done with a $30 fitness band and the GPS on my phone. I would get notifications on my wrist, but that would probably just annoy me.

I can't go back without the rotating bezel... I tried with the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, wasn't happy. Got the Galaxy watch 6 classic and reminded me how much I love the physical rotating bezel. The Ultra is lacking reverse charging... Long charging times. Nah I'm good. I'll wait for next year.

BUT, the battery i cant not look past. Only reason i cant use mainline watches. But i did come across the trex and the instinct and balance. I settled on the instinct bc it offers everything i want and has a 20 plus batttery life
Samsung's watch ultra this perfect. Maybe if it had changeable bezels, but battery's perfect operating system is perfect. You don't need to charge it fast because when you charge it, it's still at eighty percent at the end of the day, so it's a five minute charge
I'm still using my first smart watch the Huawei Watch (1) that came out in 2015, it does run slow & the battery runs out as soon as I get back from a day in the office
The battery performance is a bit underwhelming. But i do what you hinted at. Regardless of what level % my battery is, whenever im in the shower, i throw it on the charge. Hasnt really been at a point where i couldn't wear my watch bc it wasnt charged. Good video!
I think Samsung will bring back the rotating bezel next year, or the year after that, to compell customers to upgrade, thus securing the upsale. I do not think it was an oversight - I think it was a strategic choice.
I have had this watch going on a month now and 45 mins as most is what mine takes to change but then again I'm not letting my watch die completely. Just a though you might not want to let it die
Been daily driving a Galaxy Watch5 for over a year. Sometimes i have a hard time seeing the screen on very sunny days. Other than that, its been great.
I like the 5 days of battery life you can get with the Galaxy Watch Ultra just like you could with the Watch5 Pro. I care less about the health features as those were immediately disabled along with gimmicky Bixby. Performance is smooth unlike the past Galaxy Watches.
The question is do you REALLLLY need a smart watch these features with a mediocre battery life or can you get something like a Oneplus watch 2 or something from Garmin with considerably higher battery backup and excellent fitness tracking and not miss too much?
If you look at the whole thing more differentiated and take Samsung's long update promise, the price is absolutely fine. With classic watches, you only pay for design and appearance. Here you get exactly that with the Ultra. Design, high quality and good materials. I'm more than happy with my ultra. 😊,
I love the shape but it barely fits anyone's wrists that I've seen it on. They need a smaller version, but I know a lot of people now don't know anything about watches and just wear a watch with the biggest face they can find without taking into account how it looks on their wrist.
I’ve decided to move away from Samsung watches after experiencing persistent overheating issues with the last four I owned. Despite Samsung replacing them, even with different models, the problem persisted. This occurred with simple tasks (like workout mode). One watch just overheated doing nothing at all. Forget multitasking (like working out and listening to your music). A quick Google search reveals this has been a longstanding issue, with the Galaxy Watch 5, the last model I bought, receiving 73% negative feedback on their own website. Unfortunately, Samsung seems aware of the problem but hasn't fixed it, possibly due to processor issues. It's unfortunate because Samsung makes great phones, which I prefer over my iPhone. However, the watches just haven't met my expectations. Currently, I’m using an Apple Watch Ultra 2 without any issues. I wish I could stay on Android, but I’ve been let down too many times by Samsung's watches. If Samsung was feeling froggy and wanted to give me one, I'd give it a try. I want to love them and I want to love this watch. Too scared to give my money to a company that doesn't care about their watches.
I had to factory reset my galaxy watch 5 twice for overheating and excessive battery drain. It’s behaving well now that I’ve given it to my son. I have an Apple Watch series 9 and much prefer it. Samsung watches are so laggy.
I totally love this watch.. That I'm running it independent of any phone right now . I Use the iPhone 16pm.. So I can't connect it to the Phone. Bought the tablet s10 ultra... Then they said it can't connect .. So now I'm stuck , but I love it.. Just waiting to find a solution
The design is beautiful, I love it. It's the best-looking smartwatch by far and the only one that looks good by actual watch standards. Especially with the band that I found. I never even owned a smartwatch until this one came out. They are all pretty dorky looking. This one is an actual respectable time piece that feels good to wear while having the convenience and functions of a smartwatch. The apple watch is trash to me, I hate the way it looks, and the ultra isn't really any better.
The battery life is an absolute deal breaker for me in any scenario. I don't want another device I have to charge daily and that I can't take to a 3 day weekend trip wirhout running out of battery.
That's crazy.... So a phone that you are always on or need you have to charge daily you're ok with... but a watch that you may interact with 20% of the time you can't deal with charging every 2-3 days?
@brucb3 Yes. My phone lasts not even a day and it annoys me so much and already screwed me over so many times! A watch is a fallback device for that that is always supposed to work, to see the time, stream music and so on, even when the phone is dead again. The last thing I want is another device that I have to plug in daily. @brucb3 Yes. My phone lasts not even a day and it annoys me so much and already screwed me over so many times! If only it had kept the rotating bezel... From the Galaxy watch 4 , most of the Samsung watches lost their premium feel like the GW 3 had and these 2 + the very slow charging time it's a deal breaker
As long as my Ultra last long enough to get to a charger, I'm good... 2-3 day battery life is perfect... Off the charger work, then sleep tracking, wake up chill, then back to work, sleep tracking, wake up 40% chill and charge , repeat.... perfect 👌
I've used Garmins for years but they are too buggy. Getting music on the watch is annoying. Sleep schedule is only useful for people going to bed at the same time each day, syncing to the phone takes forever and fails altogether quite often and that's been a problem since the Fenix 1 that continued to the Fenix 7! Garmin never listens to the beta testers and puts out buggy products. I'm pretty much done with Garmin.
Battery life has been disappointing to me, I'm just about getting 2 days which isn't much better than my Watch 6 Classic... was hoping for 3-3.5 for the size and price tag.
@@stevenkelby2169If accurate fitness reading are not important to you why would you spend $700 on a watch that is basically offering mostly just fitness features. Lol. Obviously more accurate heart reading makes all of the health tracking more accurate as quantified scientist proved Samsung's accuracy is basically worse among all the expensive smartwatches. If you don't need accurate fitness tracking then you can get something that does all the same stuff for $0.20 on the dollar if you don't actually care about accurate fitness. It's just a strange defense. These things are 90% fitness features and "hey accurate health tracking isn't a big deal on a $600 galaxy watch." other than that what are you really getting? Bluetooth calling works on a $30 fitness tracker. I guess you get a pretty decent voice notes app but you can find that for $0.10 on the dollar
@@stevenkelby2169 if you're into running (or probably any endurance activity) and going far and for a long time, heart rate data is actually very useful
My OG Galaxy Watch still has the superior battery life. 4-5 days easy, and it's over 3 years old. Not same features, sure. I wish they went more towards efficiency with the smart watches.
With that battery, not for me. Garmin fenix 8 during a sale at some point during 2025. Otherwise Samsung seems to be slowly "getting there" which is a good thing.
Yeah quantified scientist does a really good job breaking this stuff down. And I get it not everyone cares but accurate finished features but if that's the case you can get a perfectly adequate solution for a hundred bucks or less or even 50 bucks. But channels like this just want you to buy as much stuff as possible via affiliate links. Or just in general increase consumption because that's how they make their money is by getting people to consume. They try to tell you it's their job to get to save you money but that's laughable on its face. I mean this guy had the gall to call this ridiculous inaccurate watch a steal. I'm not being partisan about this Apple watches are much more accurate with fitness tracking but the battery is a complete joke.
My Huawei Fit Watch 3 has the best battery. It lasts almost 2 weeks with everything on and lots of sports trekking. It is also very precise. The Chinese are better at it
They aren't. I have the Fit 3 too. GPS and heart rate is good, the rest not so much. Every exercise profile is just a copy of the running profile. VO2max is way too optimistic. It's a fitness band with some extra features. No useful apps on the Huawei store at all.
I had one when i had the S24U but then i got a Pixel 9 fold so ofcos i had to get the Pixel Watch3, 45mm and its sooooo much smoother by a mile. Samsung UI is clunky in comparison.
Not really 😂. Besides - Apple fan boys accusing other companies of stealing apple design have probably never heard of the German company Braun, which is where Apple stole all their designs 😂.
Its just not a good sport watch, its a smart watch that has some questionable accuracy and looks like a sport performance watch. Realistically, no one who is cross shopping a garmin will take this seriously.
I can't get what "this has convinced" staff is. Terrible battery life and terrible charging time, doubtful accuracy of most measurements. So, what is the point of buying the watch?
Quantified scientist tested it, awful gps accuracy awful heart tracking accuracy . It may be a great notification machine, but its terrible at health & fitness tracking. A reviewer who has no idea what he's talking about

The battery performance is a bit underwhelming. But i do what you hinted at. Regardless of what level % my battery is, whenever im in the shower, i throw it on the charge. Hasnt really been at a point where i couldn't wear my watch bc it wasnt charged. Good video!
Thank you very much!
2 hours charging? I think you're doing something wrong or using the wrong charger as that is not correct at all
Where can i get the watch for 25- 50% sale?
Come on uploader i really want too know??
i got it from samsung for $264 with trading in my watch 5 pro
I think Samsung will bring back the rotating bezel next year, or the year after that, to compell customers to upgrade, thus securing the upsale. I do not think it was an oversight - I think it was a strategic choice.
Can't think where I've seen this design before...
S2 watch from samsung
So what is exactly the game changing part?
It does clickbait
Apple Watch still has the best health features and is why I switched from Android. Things like noise levels monitoring are missing in Android watches.
The question is do you REALLLLY need a smart watch these features with a mediocre battery life or can you get something like a Oneplus watch 2 or something from Garmin with considerably higher battery backup and excellent fitness tracking and not miss too much?
The only problem I have with the Galaxy Watch Ultra is the quick response when someone calls me it doesn't work and I try everything
If you look at the whole thing more differentiated and take Samsung's long update promise, the price is absolutely fine. With classic watches, you only pay for design and appearance. Here you get exactly that with the Ultra. Design, high quality and good materials. I'm more than happy with my ultra. 😊,
I thought this watches battery lasted longer than the GW 6 Classic. I need a smartwatch that lasts at least 2-3 days.
It does last 2-3 days thats with everything running and AOD..
Can I connect it to iphone ?
I can't believe even with that design sacrifice that it barely lasts 2 days
I believe you should also try the Huawei watch gt5 / gt5 pro, however great video!
I love everything about it .
@@Rinnara21I got the Ultra and they used this year the 3nm chip which makes it flawlessly
If I charge every day it never takes 2 hours. I throw it on the charger soon as I wake up. I never really time it though.
I love my ultra but it literally feels abandoned
0:10 the design of this watch is kind of a square and circle and it's not that good
thats actually the worst part lol
Worst design ever
The design is beautiful, I love it. It's the best-looking smartwatch by far and the only one that looks good by actual watch standards. Especially with the band that I found. I never even owned a smartwatch until this one came out. They are all pretty dorky looking. This one is an actual respectable time piece that feels good to wear while having the convenience and functions of a smartwatch. The apple watch is trash to me, I hate the way it looks, and the ultra isn't really any better.
@CastroJordan it looks absolutely awful. Normal galaxy watch 7 looks so much better.
@@CastroJordan💯
@@brucb3 Yes. A watch is a fallback device for that I can always rely on when my phone is empty again.
It's not cheap. A G-Shock rangeman is more funky, at a similar price 😊
If it wasn't so fugly, sales would be better. Love my Classic 6, really want the Ultra bit just can't do it!
If only it had kept the rotating bezel... From the Galaxy watch 4 , most of the Samsung watches lost their premium feel like the GW 3 had and these 2 + the very slow charging time it's a deal breaker
its a game changed only if you are sponsored by Samsung. a 2-day battery life renders a watch useless. Get a garmin
I much prefer the pixel watch 3, heart rate accuracy is just not good enough
And what are you doing with that information?
Why is your heart rate mission critical? ☺
If heart rate isn’t that important to you why get a smartwatch at all? Get a Casio then.
These things are 90% fitness features and "hey accurate health tracking isn't a big deal on a $600 galaxy watch."
other than that what are you really getting? Bluetooth calling works on a $30 fitness tracker. I guess you get a pretty decent voice notes app but you can find that for $0.10 on the dollar
@@stevenkelby2169 if you're into running (or probably any endurance activity) and going far and for a long time, heart rate data is actually very useful
Not good enough than the pixel watch 3? That looks like a comment right from a paid teamPixel.
My OG Galaxy Watch still has the superior battery life. 4-5 days easy, and it's over 3 years old. Not same features, sure. I wish they went more towards efficiency with the smart watches.
I think its cool, i just don’t like the size. Google pixel watch is a great size and design imo
“This watch is rated for more depth”
Me: Yeah, it is thicker 🤷🏼♂️
Just ordered one… after researching German and sunnto
I love mine, but can't seem to get the sleep apnea to work and gave up trying to.get it to work 😂
slow charge to extend the life of the battery. constant fast charging any lithium based battery shortens its life.
I like the Huawei watches as you can use them on android and iOS and a great battery life thanks
I have one and still wear the 5Pro more
Look at the Amazefit t rex 3 !!!
With that battery, not for me. Garmin fenix 8 during a sale at some point during 2025. Otherwise Samsung seems to be slowly "getting there" which is a good thing.
I love mind got it 249.00.at launch traded my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic I'm getting 4 days battery life.
The health related features are nt tht accurate for the price
Yeah quantified scientist does a really good job breaking this stuff down. And I get it not everyone cares but accurate finished features but if that's the case you can get a perfectly adequate solution for a hundred bucks or less or even 50 bucks.
But channels like this just want you to buy as much stuff as possible via affiliate links. Or just in general increase consumption because that's how they make their money is by getting people to consume. They try to tell you it's their job to get to save you money but that's laughable on its face. I mean this guy had the gall to call this ridiculous inaccurate watch a steal.
I'm not being partisan about this Apple watches are much more accurate with fitness tracking but the battery is a complete joke.
in my experience, it's YMMV
world's smallest wrists gang, unite!!
😂I went to best buy to watch this watch and that circle in Square is such an eye sore. I was like why such big bezzles
Can you try out the Huawei GT 5 (Pro) and compare it to the Samsung Watch?
Uhm... Pretty sure the £399 listing is a scam. That third party shop on Amazon looks very bad.
Although - fair enough... The one from Amazon EU is also on;ly £430... Still weird that this one is £200 less expensive than the other colours
It is too fricking big for my wrists 😅
I don't like the design of it at all. I also would prefer to have the actual rotating bezel
Im eying the Galaxy Watch 7, only because of the sleep apnea feature. I believe i have sleep apnea
I had one when i had the S24U but then i got a Pixel 9 fold so ofcos i had to get the Pixel Watch3, 45mm and its sooooo much smoother by a mile. Samsung UI is clunky in comparison.
I love my ultra 7
Just make the Gear S again, Samsung! 🤦🏾♂️
If you would make a square watch I would get one but I'm good with the round look. I think is the worst design for a smartwatch
It doesn't even fit your wrist dude. That's the biggest problem. A wrist watch thats too big for most wrists. Effing hublot sizes.
Should have gotten the Ultra. The GPS accuracy on the regular Watch7 is absolute dog water 🤮💀
ANY watch that has less then 4 days battery life with 1hr/day of GPS activity is worthless. Especially when it charges so slow.
I'll stick with watch 7. All the same stuff just a slightly worse battery at over half the price
It’s literally a copy pasta of the Apple Watch Ultra + a rotating bezel
Not really 😂. Besides - Apple fan boys accusing other companies of stealing apple design have probably never heard of the German company Braun, which is where Apple stole all their designs 😂.
Its just not a good sport watch, its a smart watch that has some questionable accuracy and looks like a sport performance watch. Realistically, no one who is cross shopping a garmin will take this seriously.
Normally enjoy watching your videos, but this is the first video I actually disagree with you 😂
The design is just not it for me 😢😢😢
Design is Ugly
Would be better if it looked like *Audemars Piguet Royal Oak*
or if they make a CasiOak Strap Band for it
They are so bad compared to the pixel quality in terms of software tbh
I can't get what "this has convinced" staff is. Terrible battery life and terrible charging time, doubtful accuracy of most measurements. So, what is the point of buying the watch?
Quantified scientist tested it, awful gps accuracy awful heart tracking accuracy . It may be a great notification machine, but its terrible at health & fitness tracking.
A reviewer who has no idea what he's talking about
Fun fact - tested it myself against Garmin and the GPS is spot on 😂.
