This is the second home in which th-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU we've replaced our "regular" doorbell with a Ring video doorbell and we really enjoy it. It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
Perfect video! I’ll put mine together today all by myself. Confidence is on a thousand! Lol hopefully I can get the same result with issuing a screwdriver instead of a drill
How are you I had to learn this tonight I never got a door bell when it my door got installation now I have to buy it, and do it myself or have my family help ,
Could you please tell me the size of the TORX wrench. I just moved, I found this type of doorbell installed, I want to program it with the APP but I have to scan the QR code that comes inside the doorbell. I don't have the original key. Thank you!
I have one question bc we are buying this camera next week. It runs on battery that’s what we need our house doesn’t have any old doorbells nothing. So if get this ring camera how will we hear the doorbell ring if we don’t have any old doorbells and this isn’t wired? I’m a bit confused is there something else we should buy.
You get alerts to your phone if you have the ring app. It also works great with Alexa with indicating motion at the door as well as letting you know when someone has rung the door bell. You can also talk to them from your phone or Alexa.
Looks easy, but these things for me always get too involved when setting up with a cell phone which I HATE. I assume you have to have txt & data on your phone?
Thank you buddy. Is this motion sensor? It will this notify you when people shows. I don’t have wifi in my storage unit will this work only connect to my phone?
Ring has a warranty for any stolen equipment. There is a screw on the battery, but you are right. If someone wants to steal it, they could…..you would also be able to request a replacement if stolen backed by ring.
I live in an apartment. I'm not sure if the landlord would not like the idea as drilling. But, the way that there has been vandalism going on here at the apartments, harrassing people, ringing the door, banging the door late at night. They are also attacking the another apartments as well. Do the ring make one with no drilling?
You might be able to get away with some strong adhesive tape. I would hope your landlord would value some free security by you on their property though and might be ok with you drilling a few holes. I hope this helps!
Do I need to buy two one for the front porch with a doorbell which no one comes to it everyone use the door under the carport. Can I use both on the app and Wi-Fi? I really wanna see what’s going on around my house so what do you suggest
I just got my Friday and had the battery charged but I was on my way to bed at 8:30pm so I didn't know when the battery was fully charged, all I know that a light was spinning on it, but when I woke up the next day at 8:30am the light wasn't spinning. I long does it take to charge? Do it make any kinda sound when fully charged? Please respond it will be appreciated. Great video. Thanks!
Wi-Fi is good. We have a mesh network so the doorbell is between 10-20 feet of two hubs. No complaints here. I have an outdoor one that is about 50 feet away on Wi-Fi and the connection is good.
It won’t save videos unless you have a paid subscription. You can view it anytime with no subscription. The motion alerts are better with a paid subscription but they will function without one.
How far away is your WiFi router from your ring bell? I sent mine back cause it kept dropping the WiFi connection! I even bought a WiFi booster from Amazon! Who is responsible for not getting a signal? FiOS or the ring?
Some super adhesive, maybe. Depending on your climate, results could vary u bet. You could probably use a screw driver but you’ll want to apply some force when you push to make it go through the wood, siding, or whatever material you are setting it up against.

Amazing! Nobody posts a simple, straight forward video of the product installed and working - does the damn thing have a doorbell or not. Thats all....No video's show this one key feature..lol I guess it doesnt have a doorbell.
Mine won't connect to any Wi-Fi network, even though I'm sitting right next to the router. Should I let it charge longer before setup? Not sure that would matter. Battery is plugged in. I'm beyond frustrated!
It has to connect to your phone wirelessly and then your phone will prompt you which which Wi-Fi network the device should connect to. When you set it up, the ring device will look like a Wi-Fi network that you connect to during set up of the app. After you connect it, it’ll prompt you to use your local wireless network. I hope this helps!

Thanks for a great video. Excellent instructions. This 78 year old lady was able to install myself after watching!

Great video thanks, but what is the difference between plug it directly to the existing door bell and what you did?
Thank You I got one today. This video helps.
Thanks for this video. Very helpful!
Thanks for doing this demo. Your son was right, it does look cold outside!
Thank you for this helpful video.

@@BrickBuildingKids i know your QR code for the ring installation app
Looks good. I just got mine today, I’ll put it up tomorrow, I think this will really help me. I’ll let you know.
question how long do batteries last ??
Straight forward. Appreciate the video Thank you
The battery will last between six and twelve months with normal use.
Do you realize the difference between 6 and 12 months?
@@jimbo7042 I could be wrong but it might be because in colder climates it’s drastically different.
No it won’t.

Where do you buy the battery? Online? Amazon? Walmart?
My guy! Almost had a heart attack at the end thought he was going to break that cover!
Thanks, you made that look super easy 💪🏾🙏🏾
Is the 48" to the bottom of the plate or the top?
That’s the answer I’m waiting for I didn’t see any mark. Can you please answer? Thanks
Do you get much direct sunlight on the ring doorbell. At my location I get alot of sun. so I have been putting the purchase off.
Hi thank you I will try my soon. So this camera doesn’t need hardware?
Thank you so much for the video and the process of the installation..now ready to buy one..

Totally agree with Cruz u made it look easy
How did u take off the silver color cover!? I can’t wow, mine is different one
Great video just bought one😁
Do you have to fully charge the battery before set up? Been charging mine for 4 hours
I’m a day late on my reply, but as long as it has some charge, it’ll work.

It’s basically a speaker to play the rings you get from the doorbell. We had one and returned it because we get the alerts on all our Alexa devices.

Did you put the safety screw in the bottom

@@BrickBuildingKids would you recommend this instead of the wired? How often do you have to change the battery? thank you!!

About the height , is it 48 inch at the top , middle or bottom of the bell. I have one step infront of my for as well . Pls advice . Tx
Why didn’t you remove the existing door bell and mount it on the top of that?
Space is too small for it to mount there
What is the love of the battery 🔋? Thanks
Does this record video only with a subscription? Or does it record to iCloud for Apple users?
Recordings are only with a subscription.
You never rang the door bell! How does it connect to your chime? I could swear I was watching a "DOOR BELL" installation.
Thanks ❤️ great video and very helpful
Hi can you put this on metal door peek hole?
Is this doorbell voice recording?
What model is yours?
I see there is two screw in the back of the camera is that for the hot wire?
My doorbell talks, can I change that?
Nice video but it would've been nice if you had shown the set up of the device also.
It reads it to you . That’s self explanatory
It looks good 😊😊😊
Any Paid subscription for this to work. Or just connect to Wi-Fi no monthly bill?
It won’t save videos unless you have a paid subscription. You can view it anytime with no subscription. The motion alerts are better with a paid subscription but they will function without one.
Thank you for showing me how to install the doorbell. I followed your ways of installing but my doorbell want ring
Does the doorbell have a feature where the camera activates only when it is pressed instead of when motion is detected?
Yeah, you would just turn off motion detection and motion alerts in the Ring app.
You didn’t mention the mounting bracket. Did you attach it to the back of the phone? Is that where the screw holes are?
He didn't use the angled wedge mount bracket; he simply screwed the entire unit to his door frame (where he made the 4 screw holes)
Skip to 0:39. You'll be glad you did.
So how does a bell work on the wireless camera?
Battery !
Thnk u man I just ordered when I saw ur video how this works .
Let me see.
Yes that was very helpful. Reassuring to see you have little.glitches too! Tank you. Chris
Was this screwed directly onto a UPVC frame
Does it work for a big hole?
Do I need a smart chime to make this doorbell work?
Or have an Alexa device, or just get the alerts on your phone. Ring has a lot of options.
How long does the first charge keep the battery working?
The charge depends on the sensitivity setting you put on the camera. They typically last me a few months.
How far away is your WiFi router from your ring bell? I sent mine back cause it kept dropping the WiFi connection! I even bought a WiFi booster from Amazon! Who is responsible for not getting a signal? FiOS or the ring?
one question is it wireless oh does it have to be connected to the current for the doorbell to ring?
It’s wireless. Nothing has to be connected for the current doorbell system.

Do you need the chime or you can link with Alexa
