I was 11 at that time and I'm 19 now, still can't forget what happened seeing thousands of dead bodies on the streets, losing friends, the fear and etc.
Ikr i was a kid back then and kinda dumb, i actually told my parents i dont want to go home and just wanted to stay in the uni dorm but when i came back a month after the typhoon every trees was snapped or bald, and our dorm was filled water. Im really thankful our uni principal and president forced students to go home
I was 3 at the time, now im 11, i tell my mom what was typhoon Haiyan looks like, it was so strong, all i remember was the ceiling getting destroyed at the left of my home, they were with motorcycles and some things.
It feels just like yesterday.. it was terrifying especially that the eye landed on our island,it started midnight and became stronger and stronger and suddenly probably afternoon it stopped for a minute, but it stopped bc we were inside the eye of the typhoon ,and then not long it became even stronger.. I was 8 years old at the time ,my friends family knocked at our door to seek shelter but we didn't hear anything cuz we were at the kitchen hiding... After the typhoon I went to my friends house but guess what they don't have one.. typhoons happen alot in the Philippines that's why after every typhoon me and my friends would walk around the island and trying to get through trees and roof's that covered the roads..
I was 3 yrs old when typhoon Haiyan hit our city, it broke off a tree and the winds are soo strong you cannot even recognize it as a typhoon or it felt like a nuclear blast
Experiencing Haiyan's Eye of the Storm on broad daylight was a very weird experience. The winds and rain smashed our house and then silence. No strong winds nor rain. There was even sunlight as it hit us around 11 am.

In North Atlantic, central North Pacific, and eastern North Pacific, the term hurricane is used. In the same type of turbulence in the Northwest Pacific is called a typhoon. But Typhoons are more stronger than Hurricanes, due to warmer waters in the western Pacific creating better conditions for the formation of a storm, even the wind severity in a typhoon is stronger than that of a hurricane but they cause somewhat less loss due to their location.

around 8am we experienced the strangest silence after 15 minutes the monstrous wind devoured us
I was 14 back then, just scary man. Can't believe it's been almost a decade since...
I was 10 years old that time🥺 it's so sad remembering it again.
No one slept that evening before the landfall and morning came, only few survived. Mass graves were everywhere, sidewalks were full of dead bodies.
its rainy season again and with thr flood goin on in Luzon, we on Eastern Visayas are very worried for the typhoons to come😢
who ever took that video deserves an award

The wind of rolly is more stronger than haiyan but we can make it
Nah
Haiyan is 310kph
They're both 195 mph, but Haiyan is more intense, 895 millibars
@@dustinfranciscoquia7642 yep
Both have same wind speeds at landfall, but haiyan is more intense since its pressure is way lower, 10 mb difference! Thats a huge difference.
This is stronger than a EF-5 tornado
saddest part is the government lead by aquinos didn't give the yolanda funds on the Filipino victims
