      You can side with only one between TW and PHI , the 11 dash line map was initiated and claimed by Taiwan's government (KMT party) when it ruled China before 1949, it was the time when these South East countries still colonized by FR, UK, NE, US and not independent countries.
      Honestly I think it's really a historical mess that the Taiwan KMT party left and the Communist China has to carry out. You got to blame the right person.

      Honestly I don't think it's about greediness. There are only some petrol under the islands don't know about Phi's economy but it's nothing compare to China's GDP.
      They probably claim the area for geopolitical reasoning, there are 5 countries claims the area and 4 of them has set up millitary facilities on it, if it is about greed, you will see them putting petrol plumber instead of military facilities.
      I also don't believe the west media and SEA officials saying about the conflicts being serious, look at the fact, 0 millitary casualty since 1988, despite of stand off, blaming & yelling each others, business ships passing the area everyday without needing approvals. Can you imagine if Ukraine and Russia, Palestine and Israel shooting at each other with water guns? Yes the Chinese and Phil said the worst words but 'fighting' like babies cannon....
      It's obvious US using Phil as proxy and barking at China.

They need to break these barriers so they can move freely. China wants to change the status quo of the asian region then go more further. No, not that because US is only using Philippines 🇵🇭 as just pet barking over it is merely geopolitical shaping & movement in Indo pacific region since after WW2 china 🇨🇳 is started planning pursuing their expansion policy & program to conquer island chains in this region or part of the world 🌍 but US detected it as early after WW2 that’s the reason why they grab the opportunity to have MUTUAL DEFENCE TREATY & have strong military ties with South Korea 🇰🇷 & Japan 🇯🇵 that will deter & prevent china advancing their expansion. You see china took advantage when US military bases removed from Philippines immediately china build up their artificial islands to install military facilities because it’s hard for them to do it before. ITS ALL ABOUT GLOBAL DOMINANCE same dream of Russia 🇷🇺.

    • @srappytrex3946
      @srappytrex3946 34 นาทีที่ผ่านมา

      @@markgilsantiago2077 Honestly I could understand their stress being surrounded by hundreds of US military base and the US chains in the goal of containment. On the other hand I felt for the other smaller countries with the built up stress getting stuck in the middle of the 2 great power.
      Through out the conflict of the years I see some political events that China was not handling well especially when facing JP and TW. But still I keep my opinions that China is benign comparing to all the other great power we have had so far (DE, UK, US, RUS etc). This is based on the fact of military casulty and how often they intervene directly in a war outside of their land with funding, weapon provided, UN saction vote etc.
      But of course this is only my opinion, not working in politics just a small potato thinking.

    The Phil. lays its historical claim on the Scarborough Shoal based on the Murillo-Velarde map of 1734 which is the oldest historical map proving the territories recognized by the outgoing Spanish empire which colonized the Philippines before it formally ceded these territories to the US under both the Treaty of Paris of 1898 and Treaty of Washington of 1900. The US recognized these territories to include Scarborough Shoal (known as Panacot island) as belonging to the Philippines under both complementing treaties. All of the Chinese historical maps presented at the UNCLOS of the same period consistently show the island of Hainan as the southernmost boundary of China’s territory.

Many US businesses outsource to China thats why many businesses closed in the US. He said he would put high tariffs on all chinese goods. He appointed cabinet members that are all hawkish toward China. The South China Sea is a MAJOR ROUTE for trade so Trump wont let it fall into the hands of Chinese. Trump also wants a STRONG MILITARY. Philippines is the oldest US ally in Asia. So China, braze yourselves, he will be your worst nightmare.

I would say it's more of 1. a geopolitical strategy to fense out US proxy countries. 2. historical claims, the SCS was claimed by TW government when it ruled China, they draw and promote a map with the SCS inside claiming the territory, so basically it's some shit that TW left to the communist China to solve.

    I'm watching this as a person who lived in many large countries and including some time in Asia. Lets get into it, When a person understand global economics and power, they will understand the issue. Every great nation have some type of sinful past. China is rich in Asian History and the Philippine's is rich in history and have been taken advantage of by the larger forces of neighboring power. Why is there such a challenge to have Taiwan return back under China rule? Why does the wonderful nation of China want to claim Scarborough Shoal and the Sabina Shoal in the Spratly Islands. This i, an area that is within the Philippines’ 200-nautical-mile (about 370 kilometres) Exclusive Economic Zone but, where claims sovereignty. Its healthy for a small country like the Philippines ask America, Australia and France for assistance. The Phillipines don't have the financial resources or military equipment to defend against the attitudes of Beijing who ignore the ruling of United Nations tribunal. China Continued to reclaim and militarise reefs and submerged shoals in the waterway to advance their military and economics. Honestly, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, France, and the USA may consider establishing a joint task force directly on Scarborough Shoal. It's disturbing when older men take advantage of small countries. This stretch of disputed area may even be a good midway Airport or fishing port. Most un-educated Filipinos don't have an idea of how to move forward. Love, God and peace is the key. However, no one is respecting a poor fisherman from the Phillipines. Not to mention, there are natural resources there... Hopefully, all countries can align and arrive at a peaceful resolution. May God bless you and remember, life is a gift and quick. Be Smart!

    Why are Chinese aggressive in SCS? - Lets understand the context before jumping into conclusion. Also remember that it's Taiwan (ROC) and not China (PRC) that drew the '9 dash line' in SCS.
    Okay, now why China behave the way they behave in SCS? - The simple Answer is:- Its because of AMERICA.
    China is surrounded by US from all corner in the SCS and Pacific with more than 100 US military bases and 50,000+ active duty military personnel deployed (purposely aimed at China). China like most countries in Asia had been humiliated and colonized by western powers like Portuguese, French, British, and America not long ago. They have just risen up from ash yesterday and earned some dignity back through economic development. The scars and pain of the Chinese suffered in the hands of western power is still felt deeply to this day (as they should), and the Chinese don't want to repeat and experience that pain and humiliation again. However, to their nightmare, the biggest western power/enemy (USA) is still chocking them right at their backyard with hundreds of military bases ready to crippled their economy at anytime by blocking the sea routes and trade routes. Therefore, China is still very much threatened by the US aggressive posture in it's own backyard. Also, US is increasingly becoming hostile to China and it is doing all it can to contain China from becoming prosperous. Hence, the biggest fear of Chinese is here again, in its own backyard. China therefore felt the need to secure their own security in SCS where most the their trade and commerce with the rest of the world are carried out. If USA along with its vassals is Asia block the sea route, it's game over for China and their economic growth story. That's why China is desperately trying to secure their own route free of US control. And in doing so, the SCS has become a disputed area as a lot of other countries are sharing their EEZ in the same ocean (SCS).
    So, the question is:
    - Is China's claim in SCS right? - NO.
    - Is China's concerns and the threat of USA legitimate - ABSOLUTELY.
    That's why USA is not the solution but the problem in SCS issue and in Asia as a whole. They are not protecting anyone from China's aggression, instead they are making China more aggressive in the region. This is a typical playbook of US foreign interference; First they will bring instability to the region and then they will present themselves as the solution to get involve in the issue for their own vested interest. We in Asia should be very careful of the real fox who is trying to destabilized the whole region for its own interest.
    Geopolitics is a tricky but interesting affairs.

      CCP windbag, you ignore the international rule of law, re-the 2016 UCLOS ruling. CCP lost the ruling, so now they are trying to keep annexing other nations territory. International water ways and access to them is a global right that can’t be restricted. International EEZ are established law. PRC are led by pirates, and criminals.

    • @kolviczd6885
      @kolviczd6885 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@markromero2738 "Respect the neighboring countries..." ABSOLUTELY! China should respect the neighboring countries 100%. BUT provided that the neighboring countries are also not hosting any US military bases or other US facilities that are aimed directly at China. Can the neighboring countries do that?? That's the big question! - especially for vassal states like Philippines, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan!
      If the SCS issue is to be resolved, first and foremost, USA have to be kick out from the region, otherwise no solution can take place. Secondly, both China and all the competing countries in South China Sea disputes have to give in and give up something in agreement and make room for compromises, otherwise there can't be any solution if either side are not willing to give up anything or tries to win it all.

      Ukraine foolishly gave up their nuclear weapons without security guarantees. So when they started to develop strong economic relationships with the EU and to have stronger democratic foundations, their less successful neighbors, Russia, became aggressive and started by annexing Crimea in 2014, and creating an armed insurrection in the Donbas and Luhansk provinces. 2022 they did a full military invasion into other areas. Russia wants to retake the old Soviet aligned nations,9 which now were so successful in the EU community, while Russias economy was less vibrant and anti democratic. United States had nothing to do with this situation until Russia invaded and started destroying cites in 2022. They have not sent their military, or any NATO military into the Ukraine to help them, just old weapons.
