- Tonight I'll be challenging myself to solve various shunting puzzles on the layout... with your help of course!
Join me for the second of five livestreams to celebrate the channel hitting 5k Subscribers! Tonight I'll be putting my shunting abilities to the test as I attempt to solve the inglenook shunting puzzle on the layout. I'm going to need all the help I can get though so I'll be relying on you guys in the chat to make suggestions and help me when I get stuck!

Morning I subscribed to your Chanel last week and have just watched what was your 2nd live stream that you did which I’m assuming was September 2022 but it was shunting which as we all know don’t always go to plan ? but as a beginner this is what those new to the hobby want to see ? If something de rails or the shunting is taking that bit longer that you thought it would , your subscribers will continue to watch because they want to see you complete the problem 🤔
Their are 2 other Chanels who I subscribe to which are sams trains for his reviews and budget model railways and both do shunting videos
and budget model railways also does the modelling especially scratch building which I really like 👍.
There are quite a few older guys who have their own Chanel were everything is very serious , all their videos are edited and to be honest their boring to watch 😴
But budget model railways , sams trains and yourself don’t take it serious and you all have a laugh and it’s this that beginners such as myself want to see !!
At the end of your live shunting video I see you listed other live streams for what you had planed for 2022 , so I will look forward to being notified when you do more of them in 2023 but please don’t change anything I enjoy watching what you do and having a laugh as you do it Hope this will be of help

Glad you enjoyed watching the replays Paul. I try to keep everything as fun and easy going as possible - it is only model trains after all. I definitely have more plans for livestreams in the future. At the moment I'm currently trying to finish off all the scenery on the layout (which will feature in a new series of videos) so once that's all done I imagine there will be plenty of livestreams to follow! Great loco selection for this! My favourites are the 48ds, the Barclay, 1F and the J36, lovely models, have you ever thought about doing anything in 009? 👍
Thanks, yeah all those locos are absolutely incredible! I'd love to do some 009 in the future (I have a real soft spot for narrow gauge) but my focus is very much on finishing this layout first. Never say never though! 😃
Also if you wanted to cover the join between the platform and the ramp you could install a little fence to stop passengers straying onto the tracks as they have at many stations
Yeah that is definitely one option I'm looking at the hide the joint a bit better. While the platforms are in place the rest of the station is far from finished so I'm sure it will be less obvious once I'm finished with it. Thanks for watching 😃

Um… these livestreams were only for a couple of weeks to celebrate the channel hitting a milestone and were a bonus alongside my regular weekly videos. They may not be for you and that’s fine but they only happen every few months or so. Meanwhile I literally released a 20min+ layout update less than a week ago.
