    Good job guy! Straight to the point! What people are looking for. The cargo piece is what's missing in most vids. I think your explanation is very helpul.

      Cheers, yes, the reason I made the video was because linking outposts to a central location is a bit tricky.

    Very nice! Whenever I get there I can actually try to build a base and do it correctly.
    In your opinion how useful are the bases so far? Are they worth setting up, or is it a neat little thing to do after you beat the game. It takes a lot of resources so I am not certain if I want to grind it or not.

    • @SequentialGamer_KCD
      @SequentialGamer_KCD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bases are fundamentally about getting a lot of resources, but because you don't really need many resources to upgrade your gear it's better to just buy those with cash.
      But ironically crafting is the most effective way to get experience in the game. Basic items give you 1-2 XP, but when you're making thousands it really adds up.
      IMHO it's worth it just for that because skill points from levelling are a bottleneck to upgrading your skills in the late game.

    So it looked like you were using the locker in your room in the Lodge to store everything. The chest in the basement is also unlimited, and has the advantage of having all crafting stations right next to it, which is more convenient. It's also quicker to get to!

    • @SequentialGamer_KCD
      @SequentialGamer_KCD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, only recently discovered that one. I've since moved all my materials down there. And yeah, it's pretty convenient!
      For anybody who doesn't know, it's the small box on the table behind the research workstation. It's also got unlimited storage.

    Nice video man, thanks for posting this! Is there a way to store the (automatically) produced adaptive frames in containers or something? I struggle to find the right way to store this frames at the outpost as my ships cargo can't hold that much. Thank you!

    • @SequentialGamer_KCD
      @SequentialGamer_KCD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers! There's a container specifically for manufactured components, I think it's the last in the "Storage" section. Link the automated manufacturer to that container and the output will be stored there. Then link the container to another manufacturer if you want to use that component for further manufacturing.

    9:25 Question: You say "you can link the autocrafters output to a storage box". I have not researched autocrafting yet and right now I cannot put Adaptive Frames manually into a "solid" storage box. It won't let me. Will it let me after I research autocrafters? Or is it only allowed if an autocrafter puts the item in the storage box?

    • @SequentialGamer_KCD
      @SequentialGamer_KCD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The storage for manufactured components is the last one in the "Storage" section. IIRC it's called "warehouse" or something like that. Trying the solid storage box won't work.
      I don't remember if you need to research the first level of outpost crafting but if it's not on the list then you probably have to.

    • @craigchatterton4164
      @craigchatterton4164 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SequentialGamer_KCD Thank you. It's not on my list so you're probably right. I'm working my way up to outpost crafting but it's a Tier III skill so it will take me a few levels. It's one of those skills that I should've known about before I started (I'm level 16).

    • @SequentialGamer_KCD
      @SequentialGamer_KCD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@craigchatterton4164 The first level upgrades research shouldn't require any skills. Check your research console.
      Also, the outpost upgrade skill isn't necessary IMHO. You get more productive extractors and power sources but you can get a similar outcome without spending any skill points. Level 1 should be good enough.
      But if you do get skills in outpost upgrades, make sure you also get skills in special projects. You need rare and exotic components to build those outpost upgrades.

      @@SequentialGamer_KCD Right again lol! It was Manufacturing 1 in the "Outpost Development" section of the Research Lab. I can see "warehouse" now. Now just gotta find some Titanium so I can make one! All the level 2 researches are blocked by "Outpost Crafting" skill so I'll also keep working towards that.

    Maaan, inventory systems in Starfield are horrible.. Just imagine setting up all this then seeing that your 100% full large container can only hold ~100 materials, that you could probably store in your pocket too.. Those large containers should be 50 times bigger to worth anything.. By default they the largest storage you can make is 300something mass.. and you can put a contraband locker which is the "largest" default storage that can hold 160 mass.. If you put those 2 next to each other you can see that the model difference is 50x, but the storage capacity difference is only 2x.. What an idiotic design..

    • @SequentialGamer_KCD
      @SequentialGamer_KCD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, unfortunately stacking storage containers is a must in outposts to avoid bottlenecks.
      Always a good idea to stop by and clear them out pretty often (say after every mission), especially if you have a lot of extractors.

    • @LaszloIvanyi
      @LaszloIvanyi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SequentialGamer_KCDI currently have 4 outposts in daisy chain, but they fill all of my main storage very quickly..
      I know the expectation is to clear them out but overall, the whole system needs an overhaul.. Having to travel to all your outposts to fix things and wire up 20-30 containers.. soo bad..
      Some remote management would help, I think, and of course 50 times bigger containers so you don't need to micromanage the resources after every mission..

      @@LaszloIvanyi Yeah, at the end of the day Starfield's outpost system can't compare to games like Factorio. They just have different focuses.
