Good tip. It's nuts how they rotate the next Solar collector you place, and do so in a way they can't align thru simple click rotations. Crazy to do that. I suppose they're stayin* away from the Minecraft-like “snap” system, but why? Their storage containers snap, so…??
Found a spot on Androphon with all 5 resources. I did search for a good while with no success, and then I saw a tip that gave me the spot in the first try: ignore the colors and just try to land as close as you can to the border of two BIOMES (craters, mountains, etc). I know that it was probably still just sheer luck that I found the spot so quickly, but maybe this helps someone else as well. Good luck and good hunting!
@@ImmaculateOtter It's a moon in the Narion system. Bottom right as you look at the system. The planet the moon orbits is called Sumiti or something like that
Very helpful guide. I started my first outpost today at level 55 and having done NG+ 4 times and completed most of the main quests at least once. But I had never had any interest in outposts. But I have come to love shipbuilding and that costs a lot of credits. So hence now I am doing outposts for income. I upgraded my big main Class C ship to have 17k of cargo. Also something I found helpful is to put a bed right next to my cargohold in my cockpit so I can sleep, and then transfer cargo to my ship without even moving. Then put a workbench nearby in my ship and i really improved my time. When my personal inventory gets heavy with rheostats or whatever its just a few steps to offload them into my ship. Thanks for the great video.
As you probably know by now Besel 3b is a great place to get both aluminum and iron in one place and has almost 60 to 1 time differential, which makes it a great place for a main base as you can set up massive amounts of storage from local resources. Also Cobalt and Nickel are available and wind turbines can be made from local resources as well.
There are places on Bessel III-B where you can get iron, aluminum, cobalt, and nickel all in one place. With the time factor it's an amazing place for a first outpost, or one that provides the most common resources.
Start the mission for the Crimson fleet .. Once u have the key unlocked you can sell contraband and anything u want there is roughly 60k credits on the key at every refresh
I've been playing since the general release, (about 35h on my save), and watched a fair number of how-to type videos while figuring out the mechanics. This is the best content I've really seen so far from an information transfer efficiency standpoint. Well done!
Two things: 1. If you build the Transfer Storage Container, you can link it to the Storage Links so you never need to manually touch them, ever. 2. As long as the resource is in the boundary of your base, you can use it for crafting. So there is no need to literally grab the resources you need and overload yourself. So you don't even need to move from the workbench/bed at all once you link everything.
Number 2 is WRONG. Base building and item crafting takes items only from the resource containers you have built and linked up, your character inventory and your ship's inventory if it has landed on a landing pad and within 300 meters.
@@Joe_Bandit put them in the big storage containers that you can craft. Annoyingly, they only hold 75, but they are fairly cheap once you start producing adaptive frames.
@@skpro_jects You are correct, that is what I meant but I should have been clearer. The main point I was trying to make was: if you do #1 and link up your resource containers, all your resources become automatically available for use in crafting in your base. No need to manually grab them anymore.
@@Joe_BanditMake sure you are using the big resource containers (75 capacity, in the form of solid/liquid/gas/manufactured resources), not just the normal type of crates/boxes found out in the world.
You can improve your production and cut down on waiting by deploying sanitation robots, a base lvl research project. They will speed up your production and thus lower the time you have to wait substantially.
I dropped on a random planet and a popup told me to place an outpost down, so I did thinking it would tell me what to do next! It did not, but thankfully your video popped up for me and now I'm ready to see what this game has in store just a bit more! Thanks!
Glad it helped, i have a new guide out today on AMP farming that's a better setup for credits - i also have more updated guides for XP and credit farming.
I used your technique, but refined it a little bit. So, on the moon base I mentioned on your other video, I have copper coming in constantly, and I make beryllium on site. Current estimates, my copper is currently at 7k and beryllium at 9k. What I did was just use the simple fabricator to make the rheostats. Made a bunch of large storage containers with titanium I shipped in from my tungsten base, and with 6 fabricators I made 4500 rheostats after 24h of resting. Even when I tried to make a run on the resources by making a ton of rheostats, after resting I just ended up with more materials 😂. Thanks for the info man, you just helped me turn my moon base into a moon FACTORY.
The survey map essentially shows you biomes. For Andraphon Iron can spawn with high frequency in the Mountains biome. The other resources spawn with varying frequency in the Craters biome. The survey map is *not* an exact representation of how you see the resource zones once landed - which is probably in large part because both maps are just procedurally generated. So when you land on the edge of a Mountains biome in a Craters biome there's a change you get both biomes on the generated map. Even though the survey map might say mark that as Helium-3 with Aluminium and Beryllium further off - all 3 can be generated in the Craters segment and as such along the border of the 2 biomes. Meanwhile Iron is found in the mountains segment (and again also along the border edge). Run along that border to hopefully find a spot with all 4 resources (or 5 if you wanna go for Europium aswell). If you don't get a good spot fly off and land in another border section for a new map gen.
This is fantastic, are you ok with me giving you credit and mentioning this in my next video? I'm going to try and replicate this to show people how to do it. I'll reference your handle @danjal87nl unless you would like a different name?
In the beginning you mentioned low survey skills maybe being the reason for the survey map inaccuracy. Wondering if I should invest skills in leveling survey up to see if it helps. I need to get my money up quick. 600k to build a nice ship and I only have half that to my name.
A little time saver. If you're within a certain perimeter to your ship, 200 m it is, you can access your cargo hold. Saves you some running between ship and vendor.
Neon Core has 2 general store vendors and a minerals vendor all within a short walk of each other. You can reset 3 different stores with one “waiting” session there. Also more variety means a higher chance a material you really need will show up in at least one of them. Also Venus passes time absurdly quickly, as most people probably already know by now.
I'm pretty sure that's just what the program capped out at. In-game, it's one Venus hour to 100 hours UT. In real life, it's one Venus hour to 243 hours UT.
I recommend building outposts for iron and aluminum first, for infinite frames (and therefore storage boxes) and easy outpost building for the rest of your playthrough. Lvl 60 and 500k in a couple days
@@Arbor_Solutions Bessell 3-b is so good, iron, aluminium, cobalt, nickel and water, all in the same spot, there are video showing the location, very suggested
@@Arbor_Solutions the moon he is on in the video is great for aluminum and iron i have a outpost there and it easy to find a spot w both on this moon , moght get a 3 resource if u lucky
yeah, i think it's what's throwing some people off with the whole 'wait 48 hours' thing earlier on. it's not even 48 hours, not sure the exact time, but a '3 hour' wait on what, triton? equates to 47 hours 'universal time'. and of course, makes a lot of sense here, too, since resource gen is based on universal time.
You might need rare crafting stuff for this.. But if you make an outpost on Triton with both Nickel and Cobalt. Make isocentric magnets for the same xp. Then combine the magnets with the rheostats into comm thingies. Not sure if it makes more money, I was grinding xp, and comms make 2xp each, the magnets another 1 xp each. so that's like x4.
The best way that I have found to get all resources on one outpost is to find where the biomes join and try to get as close to that join as you can. Makes getting the most out of your outpost that much easier.
Another good chain for xp/money farming is making Comm Relays. Basically, the components for a comm relay are 1 tau grade rheostat and 1 isocentered magnet and both of those are crafted as well. If you can set up a 1:1:1:1 chain with Copper, Beryllium, Cobalt, and Nickel, you can get 50% more xp per waiting session as long as you can balance your production for each resource. Also, it's way more valuable than adaptive frames and only 0.1 mass more per material than adaptive frame. Based off the values you were vendoring your frames for, if you can make about 2000 of each material per 48 hour wait you'd be set but that's probably an astronomical amount of production/hr When I NG+ here soon i'm going to try and find a system for it
Now that some planet/system resource spreadsheets have been shared, there are 9 systems where you can get this chain going. Unfortunately, it does require having a different planet dedicated to each item. Archimedes, fermi, goombridge, guiibuu, indum, ixyll, Shoza, Sparta, and strix are the systems
When you have a transfer container in an outpost and you are in your ship can just open your ship menu and go to cargo hold then transfer items from the container to you or your ship by changing the menu (you have to landed at the outpost )
Excellent no BS guide, thank you 😊 I have the PERSONAL ATMOSPHERE power- the first I found, which means I can sprint all day carrying 10,000 kg if I need to!
Great guide, i set it up just like this but i did one more step. I found a civilian outpost on Venus with a trader. I set up my own outpost just outside there, and used intersystem cargo links to feed fabricated rheostats into warehouses there. 200m walk to the trader, there's a stool right in front of him so i can sit there and sell to him with a 1h wait to refill his credits. So i can just land in my settlement, grab the thousands of rheostats stockpiled, and go get paid. And stock up on *any* supplies i need because the trader has all types of goods. Great for research and building too, as he has all the resources right there.
Good video. I've not found the need to spend time doing something like this yet. I had over 800,000 just from looting and selling items from everyone I killed. Go to a vendor like at The Den via Wolf. They have 11,000. Sell all you don't want, sit on the chair next to them and wait 24hrs x2 and do it again. Level 32 now and I've spent money on good weapons, gear and spent around 235k on the Penthouse in Neon or how ever much that was and I've still got almost 700k. I probably wont touch outposts and resources until end game just to get the achievements.
Yep, I actually spend most my time boarding pirate ships and stealing contraband from destroy missions. Usually net 20-30k. Outpost are faster though. Making money in general is very easy in this game.
This is a really great vid explaining how to setup a very profitable outpost, I've shared it with my Discord so other can follow too. Took me 1 day to set it all up and the second day of crafting to get 200k and 15 levels. They only thing I would add for new player is to let them know they can craft with the recourse in the containers and they don't need to have it all in their inventory or maybe that was just me lol
There's was a comment above where a guy was using the small cargo crates not the big container. The crates you have to physically take the items out to use them. Unlike the container which you are correct you do NOT have to take them out. But keep in mind though anything you build goes into the players inventory
End goal for your outpost is definitely Venus. I would recommend maxing everything out in your outpost research first, and use large containers with industrial drills. It takes a while to get completely ready, id say more than 6 hours, but it’s perfect in the end. One sleep gives me around 200k of cobalt and nickel, and you use that to build the adapter. Once you craft it all, it’s worth around a mil each time. Jemison may be a better place to sell, because you only need 1 rest, but I’m not 100% sure. You are also able to drill both in the same outpost, so no more going back and forth.
@@TacticatGamingSo I timed how long it took me to wait on a bench for a restock, sell my stuff, and get back on the bench on both planets. On Jemison I averaged 103 credits/ second, and on neon I averaged 97 credits/ second. If you were able to type in the credit amount, neon would be much faster. When you have such a large inventory though, it’s very hard to click it perfectly and scroll to the right amount. Unless I am doing it wrong, I think Jemison is easier, as you only click once and don’t run anywhere. I just go to the trade authority and wait on the chair.
If you get the skill to make a base on venus, keep spawning in different areas till you find a civilian outpost spawn and make a base right out side it. Youll only need to rest for an hour and can get up to 5k credits. Doesnt seem like much but its the best credit farm rn.
@michaelfournie6174 travel to the MAST district on Alpha Centari, go to Galbank to the left up the rampn should be Tree you can jump onto if not run through the door on the left. Theirs gonna be like a root infront a door you can walk through if you went the tree, to fall down under map(so much faster than the 1st way of "swimming". Then just normally collect all the chests and the ship tech chest. But if you went through he story and unlocked "powers" you can use the gravity leap power to climb higher to some unreachable chests that randomly have anywhere from 5-50k in them. Also if you've down some "bounty" missions from Galbanks theirs sometimes a chest that starts to spawn in everytime a quest is available which is worth 5-15k as well.
@LeNathDuNet that vs just sitting down at the bar selling amps/frames for 5k waiting 3 sec(1 UT hour) and repeating the process all while not moving since you are sitting at the bar... 3 secs vs 2 min.
For Xbox players and those who prefer earning money without the hassle of crafting, here is a more efficient method for mining plutonium and raking in the profits. th-cam.com/video/Pr0g79Wnlks/w-d-xo.html Special thanks to @Shreeechan for introducing us to this incredible resource that fetches a base price of 8 units each.
so, cargo links seem to keep screwing up for some of us. do you know why, or a work around? so far, all i've got is making like 60 storage bins per 'cargo link' source, then going to that outpost and sleeping for a few days - being AT an outlier outpost, does send the materials to your main outpost as normal. but, since this requires a lot more travel, it's easier to just try to really bulk up your potential reserves, then worry about sleeping at the main base to restock it's output.
I'm starting to notice this issue myself, i had to actually destroy a 70 ish cargo bin and replace them to get the cargo link to work again. I think you are onto something because i just did this today , so i'm noticing too if i go over around 60 it just breaks after a while@@KeithElliott-zd8cx
I haven't worked out how close you have to be yet but you can access your ship inventory remotely and send stuff to it. The hot keys for computer are h. For the ship screen and f for the ship cargo and then q to switch to your own cargo and you can transfer stuff to the ship.
there are a lots of quests that require a ton of ressources or produced goods. they pay you alot of credits (they pay 3times or more than the standard ressourceprize). dont waste your good ress at standard trader. lol
usually it's still not a bad ammount of credits, you can hit up a place with 3-4 stores, and it takes like what, 30 seconds maybe to reset their credits? honestly the bigger issue is, missions pay out the fucking ass, so doing this, kinda unnecessary. it's not like skyrim where taking out a giant camp nets you like, 100 gold, which is good for like 5 potions, so might as well get your craft on. even a 150000 credit ship, is potentially like, 10 quests... i think it's good for 'simple, level 1' ish credit gains, but more importantly, also an xp farm. daddy needs his skill points.
@@AdamHillikerLikesRobots the vendor out on triton in the sol system isn't bad either - doesn't have a lot of credits, but waiting 3 hours is enough to restock his stuff - and there's a chair right in the store.
Thank you for the amazing info, the best I learned is that it's 48 hours on universal time to reset, not the local time. (I was doing local, it hurts.)
I did this too. Easy exp, just need Copper, Iron and some other stuff sent to an outpost, u get easy lvl and cash. Since u have unlimited carry weight and wont die from it, just go to Wolf Den and sell and wait for them to restock money.
Here is an alternative take, install the mod that lets you craft bullets, then the achievement enabler, if you care. Then just find a place that has copper and lead. Better if you can find them in the same place, but a local transport works. Then just craft the most expensive bullet, it has zero weight and you can sell them for credits.
I was so focused on crafting the highest tier components for credits in my main outpost but couldn't find any planet for mining the unique raw resources required. I will definitely try this set up. Thanks..
I dont know why they didnt extend the seling part of the putpost i mean theh already have smal missions where you sell raw materials. Like to mars for exemple , they could had inplemented that different planets pay different amount so to min max you have to find the right buyer , when i found out you cant export to sell i lost all interests in outposts
One suggestion that I didn't see in the video, is make use of the little robots. They are cheap to make, and boost your resource output. I think each one increases output by 10% so if you have 3 of the little habitation robots, that will be a 30% boost to your inorganic compound production. Since you are passing a lot of time via time dilation it isn't a huge deal, but it's still a 30% yield increase for all of the base materials. Never skimp on the robots! 😛 They are also cute, like the little mouse/cleaning druids from star wars
@@TacticatGaming Three Robots also increase the helium extractor output enough so that one extractor can power one generator. It’s definitely worth it once you have iron and aluminum and 5 extractors online as it only takes like 3-5 of each plus 3 sealant… with no power cost. You build two at 5 extractors and the third at 10. The more extractors you have the more valuable each robot is. So even for common resources they are good. Those small circles of resources typically fit 11-12 extractors if your careful, the robots increase the effective amount to 15 extractors. Which is often more than enough and let’s you be more flexible with outpost placement.
@@NickSteffen ooh nice, good call. I hate how much those generators take to run, makes them feel like they are not worth the cost when they end up taking more helium to run than I am pumping out.
@@malevolyndrgn739 Yea, they also don’t even tell you the output amount too which is what really drives me nuts. You can figure it out (it’s .83/min without robots and 1.079 with) with the generator taking 1. So without robots you can get away with 5 extractors for 4 generators. I initially assumed it was 2-1 which sucked. It’s even worse with the cargo link which without robots needs 7 extractors but only 5 with (it just barely needs the seventh). They could just tell you this info in the UI somewhere. So a typical setup with 4 generators and an interstellar link takes 9 helium which: Without robots: 11 extractors. With robots: 9 extractors.
One of the things you can craft requires nickel and cobalt. There are planets with both. So you can setup extractors for both in the same outpost and not have to wait. If i recall, yhe planet i found for it was in the vega system, but i expect there are plenty more.
Improved my outposts on this today. I put a copper mine on the planet. Moved it around to fully catch 3 good nodes = 25+ mines. Lol. I found a much better alum & beryl location on the moon, and it has Europium too! Tomorrow I need to work that place up and get the transfer deliveries re -sorted out. Simplify & streamline. Probably delete one of my bases… Paid off tho. Been learning from your videos and in 3 days I now have 6 outposts on 5 resources & ground out 8 levels to proof the concept. So far. And disorganized as heck! Lol. I'm looking forward to getting it streamlined so I can go questing and come back just every 3 days or so to grind resources into XP and cash. Thanks for everything!
There is a tier 4 outpost skill that gives you +4 more outpost per level. Personally I’ve been doing 50 containers on a handful of storage and going to Venus. I sleep on the bed in my ship 1 hour on Venus is 100 hours. So you sleep 6 hours there snd is 600 hours of production. I then come back to the outpost and get on average 5000 of the resource . Links are breaking after 60 containers so don’t go over that. Happened to me and a few others today
Haven't watched the video yet, saw you had a spreadsheet and even linked it, I love me some spreadsheets. Used to play Eve Online, otherwise known as Spreadsheets in Space - loved em ever since :D

Looking to plant a copper mine on the planet… it's a good plan. Can also combine 2 crafts more and max the crafty xp…? But the mines need to drop right. I keep finding 3 resources but only partial hits of the mineable zone inside the big circle. Gotta level up my outpost skills!
You could just do the Legacy end quest line and get paid 250k credits. Few others give high pay outs too. And you get amazing armor and weapons from the quest line.
To unlock your Trading skill, go to any piratey outpost or base, and loot every little picky thing. You'll need to buy or sell 200 unique different items. Turn on scanner mode & gobble everything* up. Grab every tiny thing. I found a spot on Androphon with all 5 resources, but the hotspots are all located on the edges of the outpost, so I can't put many extractors, but it hasn't mattered since I've had an abundance of those minerals and helium 3 since placing just one extractor on each spot. I have a nice view of the planet Sumati as a bonus.
Bessel III-b a temperate moon in the Bessel system a bit north west on the map from Alpha C is a great spot. A temperate Moon and has a time of 1 hr = 57.47 hrs UT. Which is 57.47% the time as Venus as Venus has 1 hr = 100 hrs UT. Which is awesome. It’s small planetary system. The Planet it belongs to has all the other stuff you can’t normally find there for a solid starter Outpost. As it has if I remember both Al, Fe and few other good minerals. You can find Beryllium on the planet the moon orbit as well 1 other moon in system has good supporting minerals. But the time that it has is the huge perk on top of a temperate moon.
Finally a step by step video that helps with every little detail. Luckily I have some farms already going but I was lacking in some other resources. On a random note I finally got attacked at an outpost as I loaded in. I jumped cause of the low gravity and they went MIA, poof gone 🤔

Those perks are easy to get while you're doing all this. Anyway, cheers!
theres a way to get machines to do all the production too, so you dont have to click anything. only thing you'd have to do is just go collect the finished product
TC, storage related question(s). 1) Do you put a large amount of storage on your copper planet? 2) Do you put a large amount of storage at your main outpost for copper to reduce the cargo link delay in moving? It would seem like you would want the big buffer at both ends of the link, but this is all new to me. Not a huge fan of the transfer containers in part because they seem to operate on a first-come-first-store basis when you have multiple resources linked and the amounts aren't equal either. May just be me. BTW, my big ugly ship is affectionately named SuitCase :)
So for the time being i personally HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS METHOD. I've also found that for and reason my production for one item to make the Reactive Gauge is 2-1 so i can balance that out while also spamming the Reostat and the Frames. LOVE THIS METHOD DO IT WHILE YOU CAN. My ONLY complaint is they if you still have items to sell and you sit out sleep at the place you were just setting to when they reset the funds it's not gonna be the full amount. For example I sold at the crimson fleet base. Originally all vendors had 5k creds when i reset them they only had 2500 keep that in mind. It's the same thing at Neon
Early in this process, take weightlifting AND Fitness. Every time you go from full white Ox bar to full red, and back up… you get a tick mark for progress to unlock their next levels. …which you will want & need to grind eventually anyway. Might as well get your best use out of all this running red. Also, goto New Atlantis and grind ship kills in the Sim trainer, which you can level up with this Outpost/resource/craft grind process. I'm enjoying my B tier captured pirate ship, lol. Need 22 more ship kills. I do 2 waves & step outside. Repeat. Plus live ship kills…unlocking skill level 2 & 3 took 1 day of play.
Andraphon resource "seed" in "my" starfield, looks exactly like every video i have seen so far, and i have seen many different videos of where to place an outpost on Andraphon. I won't say it will be exacly the same for every one, but so far i have not seen any video with a different placement of resources from the survey screen.
The Titan is not a time machine. The effect that time passes faster somewhere else occurs when you are near a massive gravitational force, for example a black hole. In the game as well as in real life, the titan simply rotates on its own axis more slowly than the earth. A day is always one complete rotation of a celestial body. Therefore, 24 Titan hours (a Titan day) are approximately 384 Earth hours.
Right but it when it comes to waiting the timer takes longer for planets that rotate faster. So it’s like a Time Machine since we have to spend less time watching the bar tick down.
My sell point is the Den in the wolf system. The trade authority has 11k and is about 20m from the airlock. I’m horribly overloaded every time. I’ll try Neon though.

The most crucial part of the video at 15 when you do the cargo links I wish you slowed down that’s when things get so confusing to me lol otherwise great video Ty
My transfer container won’t transfer to my ship. It gets everything from my storages but when I walk up to it then it doesn’t export the material to my ship. It’s essentially another storage for me
For aligning things: go to controls, go to 'outpost rotation speed', change it to 1.0. Now things will be much easier to align.
A hero among heroes.

Would you mind telling me how to find this planet?
@@ImmaculateOtter It's a moon in the Narion system. Bottom right as you look at the system. The planet the moon orbits is called Sumiti or something like that
I tried this today and it was too hard to get all 4 so I gave up and got 3 in one spot and a super iron mine in the other 😂
Very helpful guide.
Well done!
Glad I could help!
This comment is so on point, there's no click baity bullshit here. Just efficient info dumped in a manner anyone can follow 10/10
Two things:
Are you sure? I'm having to get stuff out of crates in my base before I can use it for crafting in the base
Great point, i started using those in my plutonium guide and they help a lot

Glad it helped, i have a new guide out today on AMP farming that's a better setup for credits - i also have more updated guides for XP and credit farming.
A bed on surface of a moon, stars above. That's the ideas i really like, will build my first outpost soon, so i thank you for this introduction.
Do the fabricators give you XP per rheostat made?
No they don't, which is why I turned mine off after following a money tutorial not realizing the XP would be lost @@pragmatist7455
I’m going to have to read this after work, but this sounds pretty awesome. I’ll do some testing. Thank you!
This is fantastic, are you ok with me giving you credit and mentioning this in my next video? I'm going to try and replicate this to show people how to do it. I'll reference your handle @danjal87nl unless you would like a different name?
I tried this for about 40mins before I gave up, cause I never found Iron and aluminium 2gether :(
But I will try again today haha
In the beginning you mentioned low survey skills maybe being the reason for the survey map inaccuracy. Wondering if I should invest skills in leveling survey up to see if it helps. I need to get my money up quick. 600k to build a nice ship and I only have half that to my name.
Yeah it does help but it's not fully needed as the biomes kinda set the pace. I have mine maxed now though and it's helpful.@@blastofo
@@illusiveelk2558 That’s quite possible, probably an intentional cap by the devs to not break their own game

Thank you for having the brain cells to mention the difference between local and universal time in this guide.
yeah, i think it's what's throwing some people off with the whole 'wait 48 hours' thing earlier on.
it's not even 48 hours, not sure the exact time, but a '3 hour' wait on what, triton? equates to 47 hours 'universal time'.
and of course, makes a lot of sense here, too, since resource gen is based on universal time.
Excellent video. Best and most concise Outpost money farming on TH-cam. Thank you for creating and editing this.
Based off the values you were vendoring your frames for, if you can make about 2000 of each material per 48 hour wait you'd be set but that's probably an astronomical amount of production/hr
When I NG+ here soon i'm going to try and find a system for it
Nice!
Now that some planet/system resource spreadsheets have been shared, there are 9 systems where you can get this chain going. Unfortunately, it does require having a different planet dedicated to each item.
Archimedes, fermi, goombridge, guiibuu, indum, ixyll, Shoza, Sparta, and strix are the systems
use the 'PERSONAL ATMOSPHERE' power for when your over encumbered
When you have a transfer container in an outpost and you are in your ship can just open your ship menu and go to cargo hold then transfer items from the container to you or your ship by changing the menu (you have to landed at the outpost )
Excellent no BS guide, thank you 😊
I have the PERSONAL ATMOSPHERE power- the first I found, which means I can sprint all day carrying 10,000 kg if I need to!

Bro thank you! The step by step and actually showing us how to do it was simple and easy. No making it fancy just right to the point. Had to follow
I'm glad it helped!
@@TacticatGaming if only there was an uber vendor that actually had the credits to buy all of my things
Haven't honestly found a use for mass credits yet. Even making a big ship from scratch only takes like 2-300k credits at most.
The big use is buying 30-40k armor sets with weapons for your outpost npc's@@Otyrr
@TacticatGaming that's a circular argument! The game needs a proper outlet for credits and/or better purposes for outposts.
Best guide I’ve seen on this topic!! Good job on the video and presentation as well. Best of luck to the future of your channel.
Awesome, thank you!
Oh wow that’s crazy. I’m still working on all the outpost skills but I’ll try that out
@@TacticatGamingSo I timed how long it took me to wait on a bench for a restock, sell my stuff, and get back on the bench on both planets.
Probably one of the smartest things I've read in regards to outpost location.
@michaelfournie6174 yeah, I've made roughly 10mill just by doing this and the Galbank method.
@@racindude1513Galbank method?

Special thanks to @Shreeechan for introducing us to this incredible resource that fetches a base price of 8 units each.
so, cargo links seem to keep screwing up for some of us. do you know why, or a work around? so far, all i've got is making like 60 storage bins per 'cargo link' source, then going to that outpost and sleeping for a few days - being AT an outlier outpost, does send the materials to your main outpost as normal.
but, since this requires a lot more travel, it's easier to just try to really bulk up your potential reserves, then worry about sleeping at the main base to restock it's output.
The problem with crafting to sell is most vendors only carry around 1,500 or 5,000 credits. So just mass crafting frames makes easy money plus xp.
Me walking into a shop after doing this: "I want everything." -Agent Smith, The Matrix Reloaded
there are a lots of quests that require a ton of ressources or produced goods. they pay you alot of credits (they pay 3times or more than the standard ressourceprize). dont waste your good ress at standard trader. lol
usually it's still not a bad ammount of credits, you can hit up a place with 3-4 stores, and it takes like what, 30 seconds maybe to reset their credits?
honestly the bigger issue is, missions pay out the fucking ass, so doing this, kinda unnecessary. it's not like skyrim where taking out a giant camp nets you like, 100 gold, which is good for like 5 potions, so might as well get your craft on. even a 150000 credit ship, is potentially like, 10 quests...
i think it's good for 'simple, level 1' ish credit gains, but more importantly, also an xp farm. daddy needs his skill points.
Wolf Den vendor has 11k credits, and a "single day" refresh time, so I think that's a good spot to sell stuff.
Yes that was something pointed out to me on my previous video. Bit of a learning curve for me too with this game haha
That’s a very cool idea. Mods are going to open up a large amount of fun ideas
Should be able to craft ammo without mods lol classic Bethesda
I was so focused on crafting the highest tier components for credits in my main outpost but couldn't find any planet for mining the unique raw resources required. I will definitely try this set up. Thanks..
I dont know why they didnt extend the seling part of the putpost i mean theh already have smal missions where you sell raw materials. Like to mars for exemple , they could had inplemented that different planets pay different amount so to min max you have to find the right buyer , when i found out you cant export to sell i lost all interests in outposts
Love this game but there’s so much in depth. Great video by the way.😊
Actual effort has gone into the numbers. Good effort mate!
Thank you!
They are also cute, like the little mouse/cleaning druids from star wars
The 30% is def useful for some of the rarer materials with limited mining space
Haha they are cute. I went to my outpost yesterday and had to yell at my crew there. Which one of you idiots let Sweepy through the airlock!?
So a typical setup with 4 generators and an interstellar link takes 9 helium which:
Without robots: 11 extractors.
With robots: 9 extractors.
One of the things you can craft requires nickel and cobalt. There are planets with both. So you can setup extractors for both in the same outpost and not have to wait.

Hmm, maybe if I can move the 1st base’s outpost flag pole to get more of the beryllium inside the base…? Then I won't have to delete that place.

Finally a step by step video that helps with every little detail. Luckily I have some farms already going but I was lacking in some other resources. On a random note I finally got attacked at an outpost as I loaded in. I jumped cause of the low gravity and they went MIA, poof gone 🤔
Raids are a bit weird! I had my first moon raid a while back
@@TacticatGaminglet me tell you this is so broken but more efficient. I'm making so much more money and xp faster than I was before. I'm glad that you made it clear that you won't die from being over weight cause I went over board lol
Moving whilst encumbered can also cause injuries that will then need treatment, though will heal over time, but you suffer a penalty for their duration...
Fantastic guide. Followed your instructions, working great. Thank you!
That’s fantastic
@@TacticatGaming Yeah this is just what I needed. For a few hours of work, I increased about ten levels now, and got the Shieldbreaker ship for 251k, and now I've got money for whatever I need. Also, you could mention that there's a few skills you can knock off quickly while doing this, seeing as how you're going to be running overencumbered a LOT. I got the two oxygen related perks where you have to use up all available oxygen x number of times, and also the one where you have to go to below 25% health and fully re-heal. Those perks are easy to get while you're doing all this. Anyway, cheers!
Those are nice!
theres a way to get machines to do all the production too, so you dont have to click anything. only thing you'd have to do is just go collect the finished product
I use an xbox control to get fine tuning when rotating objects for placement.
By far the best outpost guide i've seen, and I''ve watched a lot.
you earned a well deserved like and subscribe
Thank you !
For selling I go to the crimson fleet key, pretty sure 3 vendor sell for over 11k and a couple for 5k
The Heisenberg has almost all resources in its system, Heisenberg II and Heisenberg V-A where I’m situated
I put a large amount of storage everywhere. And transfer stations are critical to removing an entire bases storage in under a minute.
I got a video coming out soon that's going to make the all the current methods on youtube look silly. It's going to be epic.
I just found a moon around Fermi. Specifically Fermi-III-B. 1 hour of rest is 77 hours UT. A full 24 hours is 1854 hours UT.
This video is sick. Thanks, subscribed! :)

He is a youtuber. No brain.
Right but it when it comes to waiting the timer takes longer for planets that rotate faster. So it’s like a Time Machine since we have to spend less time watching the bar tick down.
"the key" in the kryx-system (crimson fleet base) has a ton of trader. they dont scan and they buy contraband.
Use the personal atmosphere power when overloaded.... gives you unlimited stamina (o2) while it's active.
You may know this, but you can use the personal atmosphere power to be able to run while over-encumbered
My sell point is the Den in the wolf system. The trade authority has 11k and is about 20m from the airlock. I’m horribly overloaded every time. I’ll try Neon though.
This was super helpful; however, I would love for a more detailed breakdown on the cargo tranfer section. I can't figure out why my cargo transfers are not working
I have a guide on simplified methods for cargo links and it touches on transfer stations and proper connections
I'm so hooked on this game 😂 I'll definitely be following this guide thanks! 😊
I have a more simplified version too that's pretty good and shows how to find super locations
@TacticatGaming
I'll check it out thanks. Don't forget to check out that power that allows you to walk while over cucumbered lol
Good video but the cargo link part was pretty confusing. Had to figure what to link to what in order to get stuff flowing
This is an area I aim to provide better clarity on - thank you!
Have been grinding on my outpost for a few days, finally got my cargo link setup at my copper planet and when I go to my other outpost and open the outpost menu it instantly crashes my game. Hoping for a fix ASAP because outposts have been my favorite feature so far
That’s crazy bad luck. I have not had an issue like that. Have you tried destroying the building and replacing it?
@@TacticatGaming I was able to resolve it luckily by removing all the small storage boxes I had and replacing them with large ones clearing up a lot of clutter & moving my cargo links further away from the other objects in my outpost. I think I had too much stuff down right in one spot
@@jGasQ Crazy! Glad you got it working!
@@TacticatGamingNow just use that intelligence in real life and be Elon Musk. 😅
Could it be not enough RAM?
If You're Looking for something more advanced that makes more money and XP - check out my biggest guide ever - took around 40-50 hours to make this video (should take around 2-7 hours for you to setup depedning on where you are at skill and resource wise) - it's very detailed - 3 outpost setup to craft 10 drugs - 1 that sells for 60 credit each and 1000 pounds of it goes for 600,000 credits th-cam.com/video/pEG4P6RqcTw/w-d-xo.html
Iv followed the instructions exactly in this video. Iv everything set up and the fabricator is pumping out components but I can’t choose how many to be made. The fabricator is just auto fabricating and I’m not receiving xp. Does this XP farm mechanic not work on Xbox?
How do you build the larger storage containers? I see you have access to 2. Is the 2nd from the outpost management skill?
Also, the tip to use the outpost beacon to quickly survey an area for resources is VERY helpful. Thanks.
The larger one I have is for manufacturing. You have to have more skills for larger storage, I actually haven’t built those yet
Dude, you're turning this game into 'Suffocation Simulator 2023', haha.
thank you for this guide, really helped me get all this going!
Glad I could help!
If you're in the crimson fleet the key is a great place to sell as well!
Yes it’s the best- I accidentally cut that part out of the video - I’m like 70k bounty from all the ship blowing up I did so I couldn’t go there
The most crucial part of the video at 15 when you do the cargo links I wish you slowed down that’s when things get so confusing to me lol otherwise great video Ty
I have a guide on cargo links with graphs check out my page - I have lots of updated info there
My transfer container won’t transfer to my ship. It gets everything from my storages but when I walk up to it then it doesn’t export the material to my ship. It’s essentially another storage for me
