I have saline implants in for 12 years . Thyroid , fibromyalgia ,joint pain , vision problems weakness in my legs and arms and I had a hearthcath because of heart palpitations and extreme anxiety . Trying to find the right surgeon to take them out my surgeon here in Ohio seems not to want to listen to breast implant illness there is even a Facebook page by Nicole 100k women on there .Time to help all these women insurance companies usually will not so many women are suffering
Good to see the explant shift or choosing against implants! There is a lifetime of future surgeries ahead with breast implants that isn't discussed... aged implant exchanges, capsular contractures, weighted implant breast lifts, plus numbness, etc (not to mention the serious BII health issues).
Dr Khan, do they test the capsule and any seroma for Ralstonia SPP? I have had years of illness with many of the symptoms you mention. I recently had an enbloc because I was diagnosed with BIA-ALCL. I believe that whatever was going on in my capsule, for all those years was a pre-curser to getting BIA-ALCL. If you study the symptoms of this type of lymphoma its very similar to the symptoms of BII.
I'm going to forward this info,/segment to the plastic surgeons & plastic reconstructive surgeons who NEVER believed me when I told them that I personally have had quite a few friends who've had issues like this & 3/4's of them have died.
Im sicker after explants and years before, I had rupture and Australian drs damaged me more letting silicon spill in me, and left it in I am in hell and want help to get rid of silicon now i have lumps.
They all say that. There is no medical diagnosis of BII. You have to go with your gut feeling. If your body is not feeling well and you have exhausted all your other options. Look into it breast implants Illness and see what others are saying. I just explanted mine yesterday !

My PCP is aware of and believes BII is real. I just went to get all of the bloodwork Dr Khan recommended to ensure there are no underlying conditions. Everything came back perfect. My Dr said he has another patient who had extremely similar symptoms and as soon as she had her explant her symptoms disappeared. He said get them out as soon as I can. I'm lucky to have him as my Doctor.

My Dr. does not believe my implants are affecting me.

My Dr didn’t believe me either , thank goodness I followed my gut, for an explant and got my life back!! Thank goodness for dr’s like Dr. khan !!
