YES! Another great video for tonight. Since you started this series my sister and I have started craft night at my house every Friday night. We work on our projects and watch the Friday video from this series and videos from other crafters. Your Craft The Story series inspired us to get together every week and just spend sister time with each other while getting our own stories on paper and I can’t thank you enough for that- especially during this time. Last week we weren’t able to get together because of the electricity outage (we live in Texas) so we are super looking forward to tonight !!
"This is making me happy happy" - love this moment haha only memory keepers get how fun it is to use your pattern paper😆 Also- I like how it looks like you added a little light grey (blue?) to the text box and that helps define it a little. I never thought of that, but love the subtle change!
I really loved this episode! I enjoyed that you not only showed us organizing and tips and took us along on your journey, but also you took some of those products and jumped in to make a project. So GREAT! (PS - the music volume is perfect now! It's very even with the rest of the video. Thanks so much for working to fix that! My son noticed the difference too. He also laughed along with me at the "way, way, way, way, way, way, way, WAY more time telling stories" - YES!)
Oh Ali! Not only did you make me want to organize my supplies, you also made me want to go use them in telling stories!!❤️❤️ thanks again for another great episode!!
I just like it...that was perfect! I love what you did with this spread! I need to take those pics around the house since I love decorating and the look I have created for myself as it does tell my story...TFS!
I enjoy watching your process. All of the chipboards looked great on the layout, so many options but I love the finished layout. I have that same package of thickers so this had inspired me to find new ways to use them. I am doing a 52 weeks in 2021 6 x 8 album which is reminding me that everyday moments are important to document and scrapbook.
Oh how awesome was this episode! 👏 I loved your use of the thicker phrase (& you're explanation 😉😜😄) I broke apart my SC pocket card kits a couple years ago & am regretting it because they don't come back together well anymore & now just sit unused...but your kits are NOT like that. There's some cohesiveness I have noticed after scrapbooking for my 2020 PL album using SBTM exclusively. I say this b/c I cringed at 1st with you popping everything off the backers but upon this further thinking & seeing what you made at the end I'm all excited to do it with my own stash. Also Jen's page was fabulous on so many levels when I saw it. Happy to see you dive off from hers & do your thing. Enjoying this series with you so very much! Going to go apply this idea of creating a layout with chipboard shapes in my scrapbooking this weekend. Thanks!!
Love this! One thing that works for me is I have four small “seasons” boxes too - so if there is an embellishment that is specific to a time of year (example “October Stories”) I put that in the fall box. It eliminates flipping through items that aren’t relevant to the everyday but keeps them all together for when I’m doing a page that is date specific.
I love this Ali, I'm now off to the nearest city to purchase, something similar that I have been looking at. For me this topic was perfect timing to watch. Thank you yet again.
Thanks for another great video. I just tried this but I don't think it will work for me. I have a heap of chipboard, having been a story kit subscriber from the start, but I use a lot of the generic pieces. When I looked though my shapes after I had sorted them, most of my pieces are very specific ones, with very specific words or phrases on them. I guess that's why I still have them, because they need to support a specific sort of story, so I have just dumped them back in my container again. I DO keep the ones with numbers on separately, but I can't seem to work out how I can sort these very specific pieces.
Loved the deep dive and how you put it into practice afterwards. Fantastic! Keep these coming. Question: Were these two boxes just SK and SBTM chipboard, or did also include chipboard from special projects like DTIL, WITL, OLW, and special collections (travel, read, etc)? Or are you making separate boxes for each of the latter chipboard?
Awesome! I needed this. On which paper you print your photos? And which paper when you use your Epson PictureMate? I´ve enjoyed your Craft the Story videos, thank you!
Some of these types of containers, the plastic dividers slide in and are removable. Check the fishing section if the craft section doesn't have them. Sometimes the "tackle box" style containers are less expensive for practically the same thing. :)
Love this layout ! I wish I could light up my photos like that without them losing quality. Question : When you type up your posts on Instagram, do you type with your phone or with your computer ? If it's with your computer I would love to know how because I cannot create posts with the computer, thanks :)
Hi! Sometimes I will type up my captions using the Notes app on my computer and then I copy + paste it into IG on my phone. We also use a program called Later that allows you to compose + schedule posts for Instagram. Pretty sure you can't post directly to IG from you computer unless you are using a scheduling program.

Those chipboard words strips looked like books when they were all lined up together.
Yes! And that makes me super happy!

That's the GOAL. So glad to read that.
Perfect timing! I’m finishing up my stamp organization and will be doing the chipboard pieces next.
Ali!! You are so generous to pass along so much fresh good content!!! LOVING this series!!!

Really loving this addition on TH-cam! I’m hooked!
Totally loved this episode! I think I will head into my craft room, sort through some chipboard, and make a layout! :)

Thanks so much!
Thanks for another fun video! Seeing how you work through telling your stories is so inspiring!
Thank you! Hope it motivates you to tell some of your own!
Great ideas and final result! I especially love the asterisk tittles-for my eye this change was everything! Love what you create!
Thank you!

That's a great idea - especially for pieces from the Stories By The Month kits!
I love this episode. I was thinking the other day that I need a better way to organize my small supplies like chipboard. Perfect timing!
Thanks Mary!
thank you for this...i have a lot of Ali Edwards goodness that needs to be organized and this is GREAT!
Me too Lori! #weekendproject while washing clothes
Absolutely love this layout. I would love to see the other layouts that you flipped through in that album!
Thanks Judi - most of those are from past Story Kits :).
This is a very good idea! I am going to start working on my chipboard this weekend, thanks Ali for another great idea!
Let me know how it goes! It totally inspired me!
I love this Ali, I'm now off to the nearest city to purchase, something similar that I have been looking at. For me this topic was perfect timing to watch. Thank you yet again.
You are welcome!
I’m using these boxes too for one little word and December Daily. I’ve labelled with a dymo labeller.
Bravo Ali!
Love this! I hoping to get organized and get the stuff out of my room that I won’t use.
It makes a huge difference for me when I have less!

Work in progress! There are always going to be some specific pieces that might not work for stories you tell - totally okay to let those go!

Yes - it's a mixture of what I have here right now.
Awesome! I needed this. On which paper you print your photos?
And which paper when you use your Epson PictureMate? I´ve enjoyed your Craft the Story videos, thank you!
I print on Epson Premium Photo Paper (for all sizes).
@@AliEdwardsDesignInc thank you!
Love this, Ali!
What did you use, (how) did you take the divider out of the box for the longer word sentiments?
Some of these types of containers, the plastic dividers slide in and are removable. Check the fishing section if the craft section doesn't have them. Sometimes the "tackle box" style containers are less expensive for practically the same thing. :)
Yep! In these boxes you can pull out individual sections to make bigger areas.
@@AliEdwardsDesignInc Thanks!
What are your paper dimensions without a page protector 🤔
Hi! I use 7 inches wide x 8.25 inches tall.
@@AliEdwardsDesignInc ahh! Got it thanks Ali 🤝
