Play RDR if you want real western feel, I love RDR2 but it had barely any western aspects, and literally the only town worth visting in the west (New Austin) is Tumbleweed, you can't duel there or anything like in the old game too, and a lawman is yelling all day anyways, but it is cool to see tumbleweed alive

I rem going to museums as a kid and was always fascinated by the wild west section when they’d be talking about germany or something. Rdr2 is what really brought my love for the wild west out. The thing to remember as to why they often got gunfighters to be lawmen, despite the fact many had questionable backgrounds, is they were considered capable of handling the job. In those days there were no police academies and no background checks and sometimes making a gunfighter a lawman was a sure way of keeping tabs on them. Oddly enough some lawmen like Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson were not just quick with their guns but also using those guns like some cops might use their nightsticks in what used to be called bushwhacking.

1:36 This is incorrect. Wild Bill didn't usually play with his back to the door. He usually sat with his back to the wall. On that day when he went in all the other seats were taken and he asked if he could have the seat with the back to the wall but the other person wouldn't move. I consider Wyatt Earl as a tough sonuvabitch. He rarely shot at people, but he constantly knocked them out with his colts. A bang to the head usually ended it. He was living his life on both sides of the law, and was always wandering around. He was a lumberjack, he had whorehouses, was a deputy, and later was very interested in movies. He probably told as many interesting lies as he forgot true stories. But he was tough. No question. Kurt Russel portraied him perfectly in "tombstone". On of the very best movies ever made in general.
Look up bass reeves. He was in 14 gunfights and was never shot. Additionally, he brought in over 2,000 out laws. He started his career when he was 60 .
Hardin was also one of the few guys whos rep was actually earned and not inflated like alot of other guys. he was as dangerous as his reputation stated for sure

This is incorrect. Wild Bill didn't usually play with his back to the door. He usually sat with his back to the wall. On that day when he went in all the other seats were taken and he asked if he could have the seat with the back to the wall but the other person wouldn't move. Bill still wanted to play so he just took the empty spot and later on is when Jack came in and shot him in the back of the head.
Jack would later claim that he he shot him from in front in an act of self defense and it was later said that "If he shot him from in front he was good, if he shot him from behind he was smart."
Shooting a man in the back, this man ain’t no man of code or honor.

I consider Wyatt Earl as a tough sonuvabitch. He rarely shot at people, but he constantly knocked them out with his colts. A bang to the head usually ended it.
He was living his life on both sides of the law, and was always wandering around. He was a lumberjack, he had whorehouses, was a deputy, and later was very interested in movies.
He probably told as many interesting lies as he forgot true stories. But he was tough. No question.
Kurt Russel portraied him perfectly in "tombstone". On of the very best movies ever made in general.
Look up bass reeves. He was in 14 gunfights and was never shot. Additionally, he brought in over 2,000 out laws.
He started his career when he was 60 .
