This guy has always been an incredible musician. Humble, and I bet he does have some stories to tell. Those musicians were just built different. Every one of them from that era seem to have just major talent.
Truly incredible. As a teenager, I remember first seeing Leland play with Jackson Browne for Running on Empty at Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD.
There was one point when I was in the home of a gentleman who has serviced my guitars for the previous nine years leading to 2024. One instrument he assembled homemade was a P-bass duplicate with 2 split coil pickups like the Frankenstein bass Leland Sklar showed us here. I think I played my friend's model and put it back without a second thought. If he still has it (or a similar one) the next time I make it to his place, I might give it another try.

Love Sklar. Never understood the hype about Browne. Most of his lyrics seemed pretty corny to me.
