FFS, WHERE ARE YOUR RESPIRATORS?? WHY do you _think_ these videos are worth dying over? If _everything_ has been left abandoned, it's about a 99.9% chance that the house & contents are sick af with mould & mould spores!! These spores are infectious, transmitable & deadly. Why not eliminate any & all risks by wearing proper suits & respiratory gear? If in 5 years you make your own family sick with brain damage & lung issues you could be too dead to care! 🤬🤯🤞
First time coming to your channel, been following Dan and Jake for some time. Really enjoying this, aside from Dan, Jake, Proper People and now you it's hard to find urbex channels/explorers that don't irritate me. Well done!
You should check out Dark Exploration Films. He’s always respectful and does an amazing job of giving a nice history of the place he’s exploring in every video. This is his latest video but I don’t think it’s one of his better ones but that’s due to my not caring for sports/NASCAR. He has way better videos. th-cam.com/video/fxTVchnqm5Y/w-d-xo.html
The term is still in use today and can be found on many perfume bottles, but written in french: "eau de toilette". It's usually lighter than regular perfume (contains less essential oils).

There is a lot of very interesting things in this house . My mother was in high school in the forties and Latin was a required course . Much of the English language is derived from Latin . Photography was expensive back then . People didn't take pictures like they do today . So when a family had a photograph taken it was a big deal and they dressed in their Sunday best . The reason they didn't smile in the picture is that they had to sit very still for quite some time . It took awhile to expose the picture . it wasn't like today where we just snap TBE picture and your done . I hope that make sense . For the painted ducks . They can be valuable depending on when and who painted them . There were other things in that house that had value like that potatoes chip can and that other canvas picture in the frame . It's a shame to just leave all that history there to just get ruined and lost for ever . I hope my information has been helpful . I would love to go in that house just to look at all that stuff . I love old things . Great viedo .
Yay!!!! Btw bullets, slugs, shells, & bird shot will not just explode. They need a LOT of pressure on that tiny middle circle on the gold/brass side of the round.
12:40 - I can tell you boys are not shooters. Those shotgun shells are alive and well. And they are no more dangerous then any other random container of shotgun shells.
Hahaha I loved this video! LOL at you guys talking about the perfume - that made me giggle, sad to see that beautiful trunk of books there rotting away though - books are so precious. Laughed out loud at the fridge opening at the end too. Great vid!!
Minus the decay, this one reminded me of hunting cabins and trailers I have been to throughout my life. In a constant state of rebuild... I recognize some specific books and catalogs... good stuff!!
Hi Brennen!! Laughing at the toilet water~ it’s perfume silly boys 😁 Also known as eau de toilette, its a less expensive formula than full perfume. As far as the Latin, it was a subject common in high school amongst higher level students even back when I was in school. So educated families would have had Latin books etc. also the series of books was very common to have fancy bound books of classical literature. I have some myself. Very interesting contents!! Thought it was very strange the way the place was sort of deconstructed yet it had China and books. Wish we knew the history of the place. So happy to see a new video!
The extra sinks were probably put in for defeathering and cleaning the birds and stuff they hunted. That process can be messy. That brown 1991 is a reasonable date based on the age of the stuff. telephone, if it is the model I think it is, it is worth money and people in the USA collect them. The stuff in the house is from the 80s and back. Nice find. The snow is so pretty. We don’t get much snow here. I was surprised as hell when I discovered snow doesn’t make any noise when it falls. lol
There were some holiday stemware glasses that I recognize as something like Hardee's or Arby's or somewhere gave out as a promotion in the late 80's/early 90's. I have a couple. So yeah that timing is about right.
So the horse tack you found was a bridle with blinders, which would be used for a horse that was pulling something. Plow, wagon, cart etc. The “toilet water” was very old perfume. I giggled lol. Are you planning on anymore solo adventures? I would love to see that. I love your regular exploration videos, but the solo ones that you’ve done are my favorite.
I have to say..& I’m sure I’ll get shot down for this as I know it’s not the proper etiquette when visiting abandoned places, but I’d find it *so* difficult leaving some of those beautiful books behind, knowing the likelihood they’ll one day perish alongside the building is highly probable. It would kill me! Just knowing I could read & enjoy them, & bring them back to life by sharing them all over again.. ah, I know I’m a soppy bugger, but books are precious. They’ve passed through people’s hands that are now long gone, they’re a moment in history we won’t ever get back. I just feel it’s such a waste to leave them rotting (I certainly don’t mean you personally, just a generalised statement!) I’m always intrigued too, to know why places like this became so abandoned in the first place. Was it just not financially viable? Did the person fall ill or pass away, & have no one to pass the property onto? Who knows - I wish I did though lol! Peaks my interest. And I’d also say the carpet on the ceiling was for insulation. Thanks for a fantastic find & upload as always x
So that vintage Dishmaster Faucet is worth about $300.00 now. Highly collectible. But I'm not the one to gossip so you didn't hear it from me! *sips tea*
Great video as usual Brennen. That was a horse bridel with reins. That handheld vacuum is the same as my mom had when I was a kid in the 90's , that brought some memories back to me :)
I got a good chuckle out of the toilet water guys that is a type of cologne much less potent than perfume but it is a type of cologne lilac was a very popular scent back in the day
The opening of the fridges is the best part. That old chest was so cool. I would love to find something like that. Lots of history there in that old house. Dating back to the 19th century to now. Neat find. Nothing like rotting dairy in an abandoned house from 1991.
@Uncharted Travel - Another awesome one! I noticed that the photo you showed at 19:53 (has a door with a transom window above, and a window to the right) looks somewhat similar to the exterior corner inside the porch at 2:03 (door with transom opening filled in, and window to the right). Hard to tell without dimensions and more info. about the house, but just an observation. Thanks as always!
Nice video Brennen! Glad to see you still exploring abandoned places! You guys had me cracking up about the toilet water 😆 Every time I watch one of Dan's live streams he says he misses you
The old books Britannica were encyclopedias. That's what old folks like us used because there was no internet. The Chips can may have been Charles Chips. That's how I was introduced to chips as a kid.
My mom had one of those pitchers on the shelf but I don't see the small drinking glasses that went with it....my mom told me when I was little it was old and we never used them...I see a few things my mom had in this video and it takes me back to some good memories...
I discovered your channel today, so far it's awesome! I watched most videos and I'd love to see you look at more military buildings or industrial stuff.
Living in a post-soviet country, which was occupied by Soviets and Nazis (before Soviets "saved" us), there's a lot of military buildings, I just love these. Thank you for planning that.
toilet water was what we used to call cologne a long time ago, love this ,i remember the camping one in the old prison, i was terrified for you Brennen,
What a interesting video.i liked it alot.I enjoyed seeing all the stuff left behind.im gonna be ordering more tabloids and magazines later for the collection 😊
You guys should check out Bainbridge naval base in Port Deposit, MD. It was abandoned in the 70’s but they allow tours and people sneak in all the time. The architecture is beautiful and the pictures from when it was still open are stunning. Its really sad to see it completely run down and destroyed but I think it would be a really cool place to explore
Looked like you found an old carriage/wagon bridle, or even maybe an old plow bridle. It had blinkers/blinders and very long reins, so the horse would definitely being towering something behind it for the long reins to be needed.
The place didn't look so bad from the outside.shame it's left to decay.the wooden decoys are very expensive to buy.Probably very nice at one time great find. I still use bacon grease.😀👍❤️

Toilet water was another name for perfume, guys, lol. By the way, the primers on those shotgun shells were nice and clean. The gunpowder inside would be perfectly fine. Those were live rounds.
That toilet water perfume.. the words toilet water doesn't mean it's meant to clean your toilet with. It means it's a "Cheap" perfume.. since good perfume is really expensive.

Toilet water was not placed in the toilet. It was like a mild cologne women used to smell nice. I think they stopped calling it “toilet water” in the 1960’s. Unfortunate choice of name....

Lol what?? Omg NO Google it. Lol.
Toilette was a word to mean cleaning up or grooming...it wasn't like our word toilet today.
Someone needs to rescue those old books in that old trunk it’s History.
I was thinking the same thing
And those beautiful old dressers. Although they may be very warped and awful by now.
The sponsorship ad and the fridge openings had me in stitches! Great vid as usual, guys!
Brennen doesn't disappoint with his findings. Keep it up! This kind of content is what I live for!
RAID SHADOW LEGENDS - the game that sponsors all youtubers but nobody plays.
It’s a horrible game really.
Makes me wonder how they can afford all this advertising. Paying TH-camrs to do their dirty work must be the cheapest way.

I would much rather have those items get a second life than to just become trash.
I wouldn’t be able to leave some things behind either. I see it as saving them. If it’s a truly abandoned location, it’s not really stealing.
