Charles Randolph Here I am watching "honey we shrunk ourselves" on Netflix and there's a scene where the parents ride on a hot wheels car down some tracks and i immediately went on TH-cam to find this video. I agree, it definitely unlocked that deep section of childhood wow. I had almost forgot about it had I not watched this movie.

@@delfeth It's because you're in the modern game time, if you're a 2010 gamer, the games you're playing looks nearly similar as what this game looks like. It's not like there would be games such as rdr2, detroit become human, re2 (Remastered), wwz, etc. in those years.

I remember being 5 years old when I dreamed of building a long hot wheels track like in the game taking up my whole house(well basement) at the time. Good times!
The people who made this were shockingly in-sync with the brains of kids. Give kids some bright colors, unique sounds, funky music, and you had us hooked.
If you went backwards with the car you got extra points hahaha loved this game

What's crazy is I actually got this game as part of a prize pack from the Mattel Barbie & Hot Wheels sweepstakes way back in the 90s. I basically won a ton of stuff just like the kid in the game. There's still boxes and boxes of Rubbermaid containers in my parents' attic somewhere. 😂

Watching these were the highlight of my life when I was a kid. I always wanted to play this but never got a chance too. I play Forza and all that now, but I wish I was able to experience stuff like this.

This was on the computers at my preschool. My friends and I played it every time we were allowed. I spent ages watching these videos back in the day. Thank you for bringing back a forgotten memory. I am so glad there is a new hot wheels game like this in modern times.

My little brother and I would spend HOURS playing this game, taking turns, playing until we crashed, then switching. I'm almost 40 now, he's nearly 30 and we all getting old AF! But this game was fun.
It's 5am, the greenhouse soundtrack came into my head out of nowhere, I found it, the peak of my childhood, somehow in my memories this game had insane graphics, now coming back to this makes me realize how much your imagination does as a kid

I don’t think it was your young mind playing tricks. For the time these were actually pretty detailed graphics. Without any reference to what graphics are like in the future, you will think the current graphics are good. In 10 years people will laugh at the graphics in triple A titles today. Crazy how it works honestly.
Everybody... We've done it. This is what we've been searching for our entire lives. The playground/sand castle level theme song has been stuck in my head for over two decades and there's finally a source.

I saw a video of a toy train with a GoPro strapped to the top driving around tracks in a house on Facebook and my mind was imedietly filled with vague memories about this game. Crazy how memory works.
I... don't remember the graphics being so bad and the gameplay being so simple lol. But as soon as I clicked on the video the nostalgia came flooding back!
it was impressive, despite being all pre-rendered, if it was released on the Playstation 1, it would have some downgrades.

Thanks for the nostalgia trip. I used to play this game on my dad's old Compaq desktop with Windows 98 installed on it. My grandmother bought it for him to use back in his first years of collage. He gave it to me when he got a much more powerful laptop for the time. This was my favorite until I got a PS2 with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 for Christmas. Thanks again. ✌

I never noticed it until this comment but omg it really is just prerendered frames that play slower or faster based on your car choice and inputs
Every few months, I'd go to my Pops, load up his old OLD Windows XP computer, I'd grab the control stick, plug it in, and load up this game. Some of the most fun I've had as a kid
everyone on here has that same feeling. what a time sink this game was, and i loved every minute of it.
I loved this game when I was a kid! Being able to watch this is way easier than going through the hassle of getting the game.

This is extreme nostalgia. My dad bought this out of a computer game vending machine when we lived in Florida. I was amazed by the vending machine itself. Installed on our Packard Bell computer in the 90s. Wow just wow I had forgotten the memories of playing this until now.

i used to play the Demo version of this game on my old PC back in 2002-ish in India. Only I had a computer in my neighborhood then. So our house would frequently be filled with 5-10 kids all taking turns playing the Demo of this game :D.
This was also the first time I saw the interior of an American house. I loved it and wanted to move there. Now 18 years later, I am typing this comment in America. .

Me and my brother apparently stopped playing after the sandbox level. It's the level I remember the most vividly and I we beat it. But, I've never seen the ending or last level before
