Thank you so much! I am a Franklin user so I appreciated your comments.

Great review! I use the loose leaf pages in a Filofax binder and it works great! Thinking about switching over to the FFP binder though. I also used the Franklin system for years. I have a ton of those binders but the footprint is different. To replicate the page finder though, I took a plastic page divider and cut it to fit, then used a Filofax hole punch to put the holes in it. If you cut a line in where the holes are, it functions pretty much like the Franklin page finder.

That’s awesome. I’m close to making a DIY page finder, but I’ve been dragging my feet, hoping they’ll release one. I suppose I could be using my own while I wait… 🤔

Hey Colter, I bought the looseleaf sub for Jan 2023 and am in love with it! Here are my comments:
    1. You didn't mention the shipping savings of getting only 1 package with all 4 quarters at once instead of a hardcover book shipped every quarter. That carbon footprint matters to me.
    2. I bought my own vinyl A5 binder online and it has two elastic rings for pens, and various slots that I use to stuff any loose papers that need to be "swept" daily. No problems with pen sizes here!
    3. My binder was half the price of the FFP vegan leather version so it's not so precious and I know it's easily replaceable if I mangle it. That said, it's holding up well to travelling. I could have saved even more money if I didn't decide I needed white (the unicorn of binder colours), you can get decent A5 binders for $15-20 all over the place.
    4. I also bought a set of magnetized book markers so I have my start of Goal Details, the Weekly Preview and the Daily page all bookmarked.
Bonus joy: I can't believe I hadn't even thought about scanning my completed pages. THANK YOU for that idea!
(Editing feedback: I'd tighten up the transitions between topics from the 2s+ you've got to .5-1s. Then, rather than the jiggle visual effect, use a title slide or other B-roll that your narrative starts over and then cut back to you. They're excellent pattern interrupts that show up on the timeline scrub if someone isn't jumping through chapter links.)

      1. You’re right-I didn’t!
      3. You’ve got to go for a binder color you love!
      4. I now realize I have a magnetized bookmark four feet behind me. That’s a great idea!
      Bonus joy: You’re welcome!
Editing: That’s a great idea! I’ll keep that in mind!

Hey Colter, great video. I am an FFP user and have been considering the loose-leaf version after this quarter. One question, where did you get the planner stand you show in the video? I used to have one from Franklin planner, but I cannot find one anywhere these days.

It’s the one from Franklin Planner. Got it years ago. Would something like this work? We got one for the kids a few years ago. amzn.to/49tQrkN

I love the full focus planners but actually love some parts of the kids version better. Especially the “how did you feel this week” part. You get to pick a smilie face in your weekly recap. It’s just an added bit of fun to not make things so serious. Plus it’s a bonus to see how your mental health is doing.

I love that smiley face review. So simple. And like you said-a good mental health check!

When you say you travel with "the digital version of your planner" what do you mean? Is there a FFP app that goes with this? Or, do you use a different app? Thanks!

Currently, I’m using OmniFocus for tasks, Fantastical for calendaring, and Drafts for capturing notes on the go. I have heard there’s a FFP app coming, though…

How do you combine the physical and the virtual planning. (Not the scanning later, but the times where you travel without the physical one.)

Basically, the digital planner contains everything and the planner is just what I need to do today, plus any notes I’ve captured.
