Wonderful review, Jonathon! I've tried Franklin Planner, GTD, and electronic mishmashes of those two. Sadly, software-based versions like Trello, Asana, Monday, etc. lose the philosophical portion of the planner system, which makes them lacking, IMO. Also, pen and paper planners are more engaging and can be used anytime, anywhere, in a quiet room, without a computer, for that valuable time of meditation, introspection and clarity. Paper and pen also help maintain/improve penmanship, as most people don't write much anymore. Sadly, having said this, I've turned to an electronic system out of necessity, as I need my planner and notes with me everywhere I go. Thank you for the fine review. I'm sure many people will gain some direction from it. And if I do return to pen and paper, I'll make sure to try out the systems in your review.
