You have rightly pointed out that India brings out major political changes in a peaceful way. I heard in the recent Mexican election, as many as 25 candidates lost their lives, which is very sad. And Mexico supposedly 4 times as rich as India, but lacks the grace of Indian politics. We have to really thank our Founding Fathers for that
Indian democractic process is THE best in the world. The 2024 elections process and the results have shown us once again. As Sekhar ji told, we as citizens of this country must be incredibly proud of and participate further actively in democracy. Modi ji with his strong leadership and Chandrababu Naidu ji with his visionary ideas in the NDA government and as one unit -- such combination is rare and we as citizens have every right to demand them because they are capable of delivering. Last but not least, we all know the truth that such combination doesn't happen every election term. So, let's make India even stronger and progressive. @ThePrintIndia

As a BJP supporter, this might actually be a good thing in disguise, my 5 takeaways: 1. Modi will be kept in check and knows he isn't invincible. This election has been all about humbling Modi. And Modi's call to hang up the boots in 2029. 2. BJP will know (more like try their best to know) the ground reality, ESPECIALLY in their home ground states. Will also consider, acknowledge and respect local leaders rather than praying Modi all the time. 3. Congress has strengthened- while I am no fan of them, and will never be, it is good to have a stronger opposition (1st point). 4. BJP CAN COMEBACK IN '29. People think they won't be able to. But IF they work on inequality, jobs, work on these concerns AND do the caste-politics better than SP in UP (involve Yogi more), then they can, after winning/losing here and there, win 270+ in '29- thus a majority. 5. Religious rhetoric will be toned down and focus on jobs and employment will have be there. For the right-wingers on this issue, Muslim birth rates are declining too (along with every group's), and the best way to further decrease it is provide education, jobs and money, so that they don't have the time and energy to procreate more. Factor in, India developing and becoming more expensive gradually, we all should be good there In all, adding on the (4), bigger mandates with more cultist personalities like Indira in late-70s have been humbled and thrown out, only for her to come back again in 1980. IF BJP starts ground work and work on failures by toning down religious rhetoric and other issues and repair with Shiv Sena, NDA can confidently get 320+ with BJP getting 270-280 seats. NEVER SAY NEVER.
All great points, I'd add one more. They need to choose better MPs and those MPs need to work better. Show their faces in their constituencies and during election time actually do campaigns instead of relying on Modi and Yogi to get them votes. Those lasy asses need to move.
@@youngdoctor8311 Agreed. If BJP can involve more locals, they can comeback ! Congress still has the Gandhi family and much more undemocratic within the party. BJP can easily counter this.

As a BJP supporter, this might actually be a good thing in disguise, my 5 takeaways:
Factor in, India developing and becoming more expensive gradually, we all should be good there
In all, adding on the (4), bigger mandates with more cultist personalities like Indira in late-70s have been humbled and thrown out, only for her to come back again in 1980. IF BJP starts ground work and work on failures by toning down religious rhetoric and other issues and repair with Shiv Sena, NDA can confidently get 320+ with BJP getting 270-280 seats. NEVER SAY NEVER.
Mr. Amit Malviya has been conspicuous by his absence after results. Will he change track too?
BJP and it's supporters politics is all about Hindu Muslim mandir masjid azaan hijab qabristan shamshan 80% 20%.

Can you do an episode recapping the history of coalition government in India and associated dynamics? I along with many Indians have only ever seen Modi as PM during our entire adulthoods.
Shekhar Sir you spoke about continuity in Foreign Policy matters and Defense modernisation. What would be the fate of Agniveer, as Nitish Kumar is part of NDA and Agniveer became a significant issue in Hindi heartland.
They will most likely mitigate it by granting special status to Bihar and AP. Both leaders have it as a long-standing demand. And I'm sure they have included it in their demands list while extending support to BJP.
Exhaustive, rational, sobering and much needed presently. You are right to stress on the urgency for doing a census asap. Much research depends on it and is currently very hampered by its not happening. Thank you sir, once again.
Now Unity in Diversity is really working. This is what we need and deserve. everybody heading towards one direction "i.e." Patriotism and Development. All Indian Patriotic parties joined together irrespective of their Languages. Beautifully done
Mr SG failed to mention that the big change should be the style of working of the PM... a very soft and diplomatic analysis indeed
You forgot CAA/ NRC.
That would certainly not happen.
CAA has been implemented. NRC in Assam is done. Pan India NRC would have anyways faced backlash from many people including Hindus due to fearmongering by opposition
NRC will implement but BJP first needs to win west bengal. Most of Rohingyas are in west bengal.
CAA is implemented. And NRC. What's stopping BJP to implement it in assam?
Such an enlightened speaker all he said was many things are over which cannot be done now due to the parliamentary position? However by accolading those is it beneficial for the country’s progress.

Just multiply the current loka Sabha by 1.5 in every state and increase seats to 815 seats, we need more MPs as our LS seats constitute 30 lakh voters , it will hard to address problems of 30L voters.

Even the Election commission tried their level best, EVM issue, false votes being cast, minorities being denied to cast their votes......if Congress would have had such power then they could have easily crossed 400+, and it's not new for them, the are the only party to cross 400 in LS election 😅

As an American of Indian origin, I always strive to share news stories with my children that portray India in a positive light. These stories don't need embellishment, just fairness and unbiased reporting. I am pleased that Mr. Shekhar Gupta has achieved this in his recent segment. We take pride in our country of origin, and while Prime Minister Modi is not without flaws, he has succeeded in presenting India positively to our children more than any predecessor.
In contrast, we have a presidential candidate here who, as a former president, incited an insurrection and mishandled the transition of power, damaging the global perception of democracies. India, however, stands as a beacon of hope in how it has managed its own transitions. I am grateful that Shekhar Gupta has highlighted the resilience of India and its institutions, unlike many commentators and politicians who, in their criticism of Narendra Modi, undermine the Indian judiciary and the election commission. Such actions are akin to throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Bravo, Shekhar, and we look forward to more balanced segments like this.
Great leaders all, will focus only on good governance and development of our country.

All in all main problem in India is raising population. Till that issue is resolved people will always fight for jobs since jobs doesn’t grow in trees and a developing economy like India will always have to rely on investments to produce jobs which is not easy in current day environment with so many ongoing wars, recession, unstable economic outlook.
