With all the negativity in the world - especially during 2020 - and rappers dying from bullshit all over the place, it would be great if Famous Dex could get his life right and start winning again. The man is a born entertainer who could do anything he put his mind to. Addiction is a nightmare and we should never laugh at people who struggle with it, or and take pleasure in them falling off. Dex's story doesn't have to be a tragedy and I hope one day TLR will do a video of the Dex re-up.

How I got into rap, trap, and its other sub genres was because of Famous Dex. Before Dex i was only into rock, that emo kid. Oddly, he is the reason I listen to only Rap/Trap now, and he’s what got me into the lore and culture

I mean in retrospect Dex really had a good career as far as consistency and numbers. If he had made the right business moves and chilled on certain drugs he could be chillin rn, I assume him signing shit he didn't make nearly as much as he could have being independent. Imagine if he owned his masters for songs like pick it up and Japan alone. Japan alone put Dex on a map that most other rappers never reach as far as it basically going global. Shortly having an album chart and going gold? He was on such a good pace. Just kind of sad to see his downfall atm.
