I love the duality of these cars. Do these pops and crazy tunes activate in Dynamic or S driving mode? I think it'd be perfect if regular "comfort" / D mode drive stays relatively civilized until you go and uncork the demon inside.
i personally went with the cobb acess port and eqt dsg and ecu tune for my mk7 gti and that is one of the more popular tuning platforms for vw i would suggest looking up apr , and unitronic too but in my opinion my eqt tune is 10 times smoother than stock. with eqt and apr and most of the big name tuners you usually have a options on if u want it in extra fun mode at all times or not ( pops and bangs and stuff like that ) you should also consider if your doing it your self some of theses tunes you need a computer and internet to install. if you dont have the one of thoes you may want to look at the cobb and the pro tuners on that platform

My 19’ RS3 is stupid fun and they love a good tune. However, they hate going above 500 torques. Plenty of builds out there that are 600 hp plus but they keep the torque below 500.
The factory car can hit 0-60 in 3.7 seconds stock on 93 tho. stage 2 and e85 means mid 10s realistically I've seen these cars stock motor stock turbo in the 9s... I've been into rs3s since before we got them here in the states
Also depends on what model. My 2020 model comes with a particle filter, which makes it quieter and a tad bit slower. Keep in mind to wait 5 seconds before releasing the brake pedal when using launch control to let the car build up some boost. I use 102 octane fuel and my car does 3.9 to 4 seconds flat from 0 to 100 km/h.
I will not puta tune on my RS3 until the car is out of warranty. That's what I did on my 07 GTI and I ran a worry free tune until I sold the car with 290,000 km on the dial. Just saying,

When it comes to the s4 platform no one competes with 034 they’re insane. But I also agreed with @Bizp since I’m with EQT on my Mk7

My thing about 034 tuning is how reliable are they. They give you a lot of power but does it drive like stock because I want to tune my Jetta gli.
