Not even 6am but I had to watch it. I knew it would be something special when I saw the beautiful colours of the offcuts, but I couldn't imagine just how stunning it would become! Absolutely glorious!
Andy, I don't know how many videos i have watched of yours, but i can say that i'm never disappointed with what your brain can come up with!!! I mean really, a pile of off cuts and you make a freaking bowl. You are a true artist!!!
Mesmerising! You have the gift of envisioning something and to create it too. That's what sets an artist apart from a skilled craftsman. This goes beyond just wood turning. Chapeau!
Hey There Andy, firstly let me say that there is nothing you have created that isn't a thing of beauty, and so after all these years lurking I am taking my first turning lesson in a couple of days time, so excited. Thank you for all the amazing content, and inspiration.
You never cease to amaze me with the projects you come up with. You can take something that doesn't look like much and turn it into beautiful pieces of art. Absolutely awesome bro 👍.
Beautiful! One of my top pet peeves when it comes to wood turning is the amount of wood that got wasted during the process. This type of work though makes up for many of the other kind...
A truly fun and beautiful piece, very much sixties design. I think its really one of your better ones. You need to have the right tools, but it came out so fluently as a design, material use and tool use. To me a real masterpiece!
New subscriber here. THIS is my favorite video so far. Fun to watch the whole way thru. Those pieces all knew they were going to become a bowl, they just needed your help. Wonderful job!
A change of pace for you and I like it, I kinda wish that you would do more like this. I enjoy your other work, But this was Absollutely Satisfying !!!
😮...just Beautiful 😍. I love the use of many different wood types, and the pattern is almost trance like. You definitely had me confused as to what you were doing in the beginning, but was fascinating to see you bring it to life. Keep up the great work mate ❤
Ok, the first 4 minutes you blew my mind with trying to figure out what you were doing. Then I seen the jig and loved it. Then at 5 minutes you blew my mind again because I didn’t realize the bandsaw already was set at an angle. So far so good man!
Beautiful and amazing! I love the contrast in colors. I remember the square edged bowl you did like this last year. These are easily my favorite of your projects! I'm saving up so maybe I'll be able to afford one someday.❤
I really like the V profile of the purpleheart as viewed from the side. Excellent execution, as always; really enjoyed seeing the whole creative process. (Edit: side profile seen at 11:39, base of wenge)
At first I was like... errrr whats he doing and then when the glueing started i was like ahhhh thats what it is... and another stunning masterpiece from the master
I watch these videos and I always find myself wishing I had paid more attention to woodworking in high school (in our first year, everyone did shop which meant woodworking, metal work and plastics). Ah well, such is life.
Yeah I'm finding myself with a lot of off cuts and nothing to use for them until I expand my shop. I did finally purchase some Yew here in the US and I'm very excited to try it out, maybe make a nice serving tray or art piece.😄
Ooo the oiling was extremely satisfying! I loved seeing how this project came together, apart, and back together again! Another museum worthy piece! 🤎
Thank you

absolutely stunning I don’t know how you can imagine such beautiful projects from a few bits of wood ❤
Thanks!
The purple heart has such depth of grain! It changes with the angle of view! I love it

Never through things away, it's surprising at the things one can make with scraps..this is so pretty, great job.❤❤❤
Very nicely done once again Andy. Thanks for the inspiration. Stay safe.

Another amazing piece Andy. Makes you rethink about all the offcuts thrown in the wood heater.
Thanks
Fantastic piece. This may well be my favorite piece of your work. Love the colors working together.

Hi Andy. Very creative. It's cool when you can take offcuts and make something beautiful with them.
Thank you!
Super mad kudos for your super mad skills in a) thinking up this design, and b) carrying it through (especially those curved cuts!!)
Thank you very much!
Lovely piece, also nice to see someone applying glue with a brush instead of fingers.
I really like the V profile of the purpleheart as viewed from the side. Excellent execution, as always; really enjoyed seeing the whole creative process. (Edit: side profile seen at 11:39, base of wenge)
The vison to know what it'll eventually look like when you start cutting and glueing! Brilliant
Thanks
2:58 Cutting the rings with a series of equally placed peg holes was genius!
Thanks

Hi Andy, huge respect from a follower from the UK 🇬🇧
May I please ask how long you’ve been a master craftsman? I just adore your pieces 😊
Thankyou.. Ive worked with wood for over 30 years but only got seriously into turning 7 or 8 years ago
Very ni e and very different. ❤❤❤❤😊
