It would be nice to give my wife a present for our anniversary in about a week while im deployed at the moment. Your woodworking work is always amazing and I'm always looking forward to the next uploads you make. But hopefully whoever gets it loves ot too. Also I want your splatter,
Congratulations @alexlandy8073, you are the winner. Please contact me via email at david@adamsenwoodcraft.com to share your details and claim your prize. I am sweetening the deal with an actual piece of woodturning, not just the splatter, which of course, you can decline or accept if you wish. Please reach out to me at your earliest convenience. I will wait 7 days from today, so midnight on 8/10 is your deadline. Cheers!
WOW David!!!! What a piece you have created. At first I thought a whole resin pour, thanks for not going that way. The resin style you did is awesome. You worked with what mother nature gave you and you created an absolutely gorgeous turning. Thanks for sharing David.
That reverse shot of the bore entering the piece seen through the hole in the side was a great moment. I imagine setting up the cameras to catch all these satisfying shots must significantly extend the work time.
Good morning 🌅, I am new to your channel, great looking 👀 project, I have just looked back at your channel, some very interesting work projects, I have some interesting pieces to, very similar to yours, I am hoping to turn them later in the year, I need to get some resin and pigment, keep up the good work, France.
"I Want Your Splatter" but not only that. This piece is gorgeous. I love the contrast from the flat black/grey to the multi-colored exterior! Great job David!!!
First I didn't understand why applying a layer of color to the piece and then removing it by turning over it. Then the result began to appear, and I realized it was genius: the various successive colors that have penetrated unevenly into the wood according to its density and inclusions give it unequalled color and volume. Well done! Beautiful video again.
As you so often do, amazing piece. A gentle curved shape broken by the voids, really well done. Really liked the layering of color with the epoxy to stabilize was great, gives such depth. Personally I liked the natural grain on the inside, but the flat black does a great job enhancing both the voids and keeping the eye on the outside shape.
Great art! Is the real talent the turning or the gift of being able to see the potential of a peice of wood almost everyone would throw away. Think the latter.
A LOT of work but awesome result! As usual these videos of yours are both relaxing yet tension inducing (due to possible breakage) That blacked out interior came out so well! I always look forward to the next one David!
3. This video is definitely worth watching. It's magical to see how simple materials can be turned into useful and creative items. I highly recommend this video to anyone interested in DIY projects
FINALLY 👏 ...Red is my favorite color and I have searched for videos, where the artist are using red epoxy. Of all the videos ive seen its almost only black, dark blue, dark green and purple - so now im going to keep an eye out for your videos in hope of seeing the reds again. Nice Vase - all though it was a little nerve wrecking along the way.
Beautiful, David. The effect from the multiple layers of stabilization is great. The black interior and edges was a perfect finish there, too. Congratulations on the new addition to your family. Bill
I might be too late but i really want your splatter. Im a fluid artist who grew up around art of every medium...glass, wood, clay, metal, paint. I love your videos. There's two other woodworkers i watch and its so neat to see the distinct styles of each of you. Your art is amazing and anyone would be lucky to win a piece. ❤
My goodness gracious!, what an absolutely stunning piece. It looks like an archeologist found it in a newly discovered cave and is about to be placed in a museum dedicated to exceptional ancestral artifacts. Love the black interior. Oh yeah, I want your splatter.
Welcome back! Other vloggers I’ve been watching just don’t match your style, craftsmanship, or creativity. Your wood turning skills on the lathe are pretty darn impressive, too.
I want your splatter.. ..never thought I'd be saying that today when I got up this morning! 😁 Seriously, really enjoyed the video.. masterful work as always..truly a work of art. Kudos 😉👍
The filming is so good it allows me to become completely absorbed in the process, you create tension, excitement and always something exquisite at the end. Love it
The shape and open side reminds me strongly of Oogie Boogie and his big mouth from "Nightmare Before Christmas". I LIKE IT! I've never seen anyone do stabilizing with many layers this way, the end colors are fascinating. I want your splatter.
Good vision and a nicely rescued piece of wood. So homany coats of TB Penetrating resin did you put on and did it penetrate to a reasonable depth each time? I must admit that one was very much dedication to the cause. Some nice shooting angles, liked the slow mo. Should be a good vid for you.
Thanks! I applied maybe 8-10 coats total, and in theory each coat penetrates less deep than the previous one. Basically once the wood no longer absorbs the resin it can be considered stable.
I've been waiting for your next video and finally it's here you are an amazing artist and the waY YOU DO YOUR VIDEO'S ARE AMAZING ! what type of hollowing system is the David? but beautiful thanks so much.......Larry
I really love this piece. You do excellent work. This piece is museum worthy, it looks like a relic from the past. Congratulations on your new baby. "I want your splatter." Keep up the great work.
Congratulations, @Patty-ki1to you are the winner! Please contact me at david@adamsenwoodcraft.com with your shipping details. I decided to include an actual piece of woodturning in with the splatter, so hopefully you are still interested! Please contact me by 8/24/2024 at 11:59 PM EST. If I don't hear from you by then, I will choose another winner.
For the first 15 minutes I thought "It's impossible to polish a turd.", but with enough talent and ingenuity we've been shown it can be done. Great work David! Thanks for sharing it with us
if i write " i want your robust" can win it instead of the splatters? 😈🤣 To be serious your are a real artist, continue inspire us with yours creations.
The black interior really helps the brilliance of the the outer colors stand out. Gorgeous!!!!You could possibly nestle another piece of art inside this artistic piece. Or lights would be beautiful. It’s lovely. I want your splatter!!!!

The black inside actually creates a sense of shape and dimension. Really impressed at how the finished object looks.

Wow! Absolutely stunning. The process was confusing until the red, but I still had no idea what was coming. I love the distressed, weathered look.
