Ibanez AZ2402 Tone Demo (No talking)

  • There is so much range to the AZ2402s, especially with the alter switch, (10 tones all up), that I really wanted to do a video showing it off. I decided to pick 2 tones, a fully clean tone and a reasonably high gain crunch tone, and play the same thing on every pickup setting so you can hear how much ground it covers.
I tried to play a range of things for each tone so you can actually get a good idea of what this guitar/pickups can do. There are open chords, barre chords, palm muting, picking, lead and varied dynamics through each. I've also left a fair amount of ring out on the clean chords as well so that you can hear how the guitar sounds as it fades over time.
I didn't do the usual clean, rhythm and lead; I blended rhythm and lead together because the crunch tone I picked could easily work for leads as well.
Let me know if there's anything else like this that you guys would love to see!

    Ibanez AZ2402 in Prussian blue.
Neural DSP Archetype: Rabea for all the tones.
Clean tone is the default preset, turn on the compressor and switch to the clean amp.
Crunch tone is under Adam Nolly Getgood's presets, it's called Gnarly Rhythm.
*The only audio processing is a limiter on the master bus

Perfect combination of guitar and amp (plugin) choice. It’s everything I wanted without even knowing it. Thanks for the play-through!

Ah awesome! I had no idea if anyone would be interested in this but it's exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find when I was sussing out whether to buy this guitar. So I'm really glad to know someone enjoyed it and found it helpful. 😊 Thanks for watching, man!

Really versatile, lots of usable sounds there! And imo the best finish on these prestige AZs ❤

Yeah they're super versatile! I agree, the Prussian blue is definitely hard to beat haha. Maybe a pink or seafoam could give it a run for its money though. 👀

hey i’m looking to buy this exact guitar but i’m scared the finish will scratch since it’s flat, will this happen or no ?? because i can go for an icm gloss one if it scratches bad

Hey! You mean flat colour as in not gloss? Because this one in the vid has a gloss coating. If you're thinking about the flat finish AZs then I can say from owning a bunch of more flat satin finish guitars that yes they can scratch, but if you're careful with it it shouldn't be an issue. And while I always get annoyed in the moment when I ding a guitar I think they're meant to be played and that stuff is going to happen so I try to embrace it, it just makes the guitar more "yours".

Check out Harley Benton, they make pretty great guitars for the money (athough a pickup swap definitely can be recommended)
